00:00 Hi, I'm Sophie Mayline-Malin and here are today's headlines.
00:04 It's National Racehorse Week this week,
00:06 so former racehorses will be taken into communities
00:09 across Yorkshire, from schools to colleges
00:12 and community centres, so people get a better understanding
00:16 of how sensitive horses really are.
00:19 Now, there's been a worrying decline of music tuition
00:23 amongst students, pupils, and people not seeing
00:26 that it is actually still a career choice.
00:29 Well, a Harrogate-based business has set up I Can Compose,
00:33 which has been funded by Innovate UK
00:35 to help schools, colleges, and places of education
00:39 incorporate music and show how it can be
00:42 a valid career choice.
00:44 Heritage Open Days are where historical places
00:47 are opened up to the public to explore.
00:50 One of those is the Old Parcels Office in Scarborough,
00:54 where the Heritage Open Days will continue
00:57 until this Sunday, and that's across the country.
01:01 But in Scarborough, you can see the history
01:03 of entertainment, music, and culture in the area.
01:07 Now, for fans of Rugby Union, the Rugby World Cup
01:10 is taking place at the moment in France.
01:13 It's Rugby World Cup 2023.
01:16 England took on Argentina and beat them at the weekend,
01:19 and they're due to play Japan on the 17th of September.
