Open Cosmos secures $50 million in funding to revolutionize smallsat development

UK-based smallsat developer Open Cosmos has raised $50 million in a Series B funding round to expand the company, develop larger satellites and constellations for Earth observation, and grow internationally. The funding was led by ETF Partners, Trill Impact, and A&G. The company has already launched several small satellites and has five more scheduled for launch by next March. The company has been generating positive earnings since 2021 and has revenues that have doubled yearly since 2020.
