00:00 (upbeat music)
00:02 (upbeat music)
00:32 - I would that you would turn with me
00:35 to the book of Romans, if you will.
00:37 And I'm also going to
00:43 relate Romans to the book of James.
00:48 Now, from a theological position,
00:51 that should be very difficult to do
00:53 because the theologians argue in many schools
01:00 the difference between Paul's presentation
01:02 as it relates to faith and works
01:06 and James' presentation as it relates to faith and works.
01:11 The tendency is to, well, not the tendency,
01:18 but the school of thought from one group is
01:21 that James and Paul contradict each other
01:26 as it relates to justification by faith
01:29 or justification by works.
01:32 But if you study them closely,
01:35 you will find that there is no real contradiction.
01:39 It's just that Paul simply says
01:43 that in order to be justified,
01:45 you have to be justified by faith.
01:49 And James is literally saying that after you are justified,
01:55 you will exhibit some works.
01:58 Paul is speaking about justification
02:03 that brings you into salvation.
02:07 And James is saying that if you have salvation,
02:12 then you will show it.
02:15 They both use the same examples of Rahab
02:20 and they both use Abraham.
02:24 And what Paul is saying is that Abraham believed God
02:27 and because he believed God,
02:30 God operated in the promise that he had given him
02:34 to make him the father of many nations.
02:36 James says that Abraham obeyed God
02:41 and in the obedience, he received the promise.
02:46 But it is through faith in God that we obey.
02:50 It's when you trust him, then you have to trust the process.
02:56 But I noted something that was very similar to both of them
03:00 and that's why I'm going to start in Romans
03:04 and move to James.
03:07 Therefore, being justified by faith,
03:11 is Romans five, I'm sorry, verse one.
03:14 Being justified by faith, we have peace with God.
03:19 Now justification by faith is just as if I have never sinned
03:24 from the word diakonos which means that I now am able
03:29 to come into that place where I can talk to God.
03:33 This happens because of the shedding
03:36 of Jesus's blood on the cross.
03:39 I have peace with God because he looks at me
03:42 through Jesus Christ.
03:45 It is not something that I did,
03:46 it's something that he did on the cross
03:49 that makes me able now to come in and have peace with God.
03:55 Now there's a distinct difference between the peace with God
04:00 and the peace of God.
04:03 Peace with God is a work of Jesus Christ on Calvary.
04:07 The peace of God is a work of the Holy Spirit
04:11 through the process of sanctification.
04:14 Which tells me then that all of God's children
04:19 have peace with God.
04:23 But all of God's children have not yet achieved
04:26 the peace of God.
04:28 If you don't believe me, just look at the social media
04:31 and see.
04:31 That some people have not yet achieved any peace
04:36 with anything or anybody at all.
04:39 The peace of God then is the work of the Holy Spirit
04:44 and it takes time to gain that level of peace.
04:49 Then he continues and he says very emphatically,
04:53 through our Lord Jesus Christ,
04:55 by whom also we have access by faith
04:58 into this grace wherein we stand
05:02 and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
05:05 There is nobody here who can ever reassess
05:10 or renegotiate the contract of grace.
05:15 There is nobody in here who is living so well
05:20 that they can say to God, I think we need to renegotiate.
05:24 I want to deal from a meritorious point of view
05:27 in my salvation.
05:29 I am not like the rest of these saints
05:31 who need unmerited favor.
05:35 But I'm doing so well that you ought to be good to me
05:39 because of how well I am living.
05:43 The truth is none of us can ever renegotiate grace.
05:48 This is why he says the grace in which therein we stand.
05:53 And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God
05:58 and not only so, but we glory in tribulations also.
06:03 Knowing that tribulation worketh patience,
06:09 patience experience and experience hope.
06:13 And hope make it not a shame because the love of God
06:15 is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
06:18 which is given unto us.
06:20 Now I want to pick up in James chapter one
06:24 and deal primarily with what Paul is talking about
06:30 in verse three.
06:34 And James chapter one of course,
06:35 beginning at verse two says,
06:37 my brethren, count it all joy
06:43 when you fall into diverse temptations.
06:47 Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
06:52 But let patience have her perfect work
06:56 that she may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
06:59 If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God
07:02 that give it to all men liberally and upbraideth not.
07:07 And it shall be given him.
07:09 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering,
07:13 for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea
07:16 driven with the wind and tossed.
07:18 For let no, not that man think
07:22 he shall receive anything of the Lord.
07:25 A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.
07:30 I want you to look at somebody like you're angry with them.
07:35 Just look at them like, just look at them like you're mad.
07:39 (audience laughing)
07:42 And say, neighbor, it's just a trial.
07:50 - It's just a trial.
07:52 - Look at somebody else like you're angry with them
07:57 and say, you gotta go through it.
07:59 - You gotta go through it.
08:00 - To go to the next level.
08:02 - To go to the next level.
08:04 - Amen, you gotta go through it.
08:05 - Amen, amen.
08:06 (audience applauding)
08:07 - You gotta go through the next level.
08:10 There are certain things that are critical
08:14 to grasping the meaning of the text.
08:19 And one thing that I think is significant
08:27 as is presented here, and that is there is a relationship
08:32 between trials, between tribulations,
08:37 and the stability of the Christian walk.
08:41 There is something about trials and having to go through
08:47 that in many instances causes internal conflict.
08:53 One of the things that is so conflicting is,
08:58 if God loves me, then why does he allow me
09:04 to go through despicable and awful things?
09:09 And it is a place where, if we don't understand it properly,
09:16 that Satan has the opportunity to whisper in our ears.
09:22 It's at that time when we are going through difficult times
09:28 that the proclivity and tendency is to open up
09:33 and listen to negative things
09:38 that cause us to be destabilized in our walk.
09:44 It's an interesting thing because what James is saying
09:49 in verse two to verse four is that there is a proper
09:54 response to going through trials.
09:59 What he says from verse five to verse eight
10:02 is there is an improper way of approaching it.
10:07 I never understood why in the middle of this presentation
10:12 he could say, if any man lack wisdom, let him ask God.
10:17 But when you put the context together,
10:20 what you understand is that if I'm going through my trial
10:25 and I'm going through it foolishly,
10:29 then I need to have a conversation with God
10:32 so that he can give me an awakening intellectually
10:37 as to how I ought to handle the trial.
10:41 It's a critical thing and what makes it so critical
10:51 is I don't care what level of relationship
10:55 with God you're on, each one of us
10:59 has got to go through something.
11:01 And for the individual who thinks that there
11:07 is no difficulty once I come to God,
11:10 they told me when I came to God years and years ago
11:15 that everything would be all right.
11:16 But they just didn't tell me when.
11:23 And when he says after you suffer a while,
11:28 you will reign with him, but they didn't tell us
11:31 how long a while was.
11:35 So in light of the fact then, trials have to be approached
11:41 with the right kind of wisdom.
11:44 And trials have to be approached, one writer says,
11:47 we approach trials or we glory, we approach trials rather,
11:53 with joy based on the realization that trials lead
11:58 to patience and patience completes us.
12:04 It is this then that is significant and that is that
12:07 I have to go through something in order to become
12:12 what God would have me to be so he can release
12:17 what he wants me to have.
12:21 Might I say to you that the blessing of God,
12:25 I might not need the chair, I'm a little old,
12:28 but probably not that old.
12:30 The blessings of God oftentimes are so magnanimous
12:37 in their superfluous gift that he has to bring us
12:48 up to the level to receive what he has in store.
12:52 The magnanimity of his gift far superior to the character
12:57 that he needs to develop in us in order to handle
13:04 what he gives.
13:05 And this is why the trial brings us closer to him
13:10 so that no matter what he gives, the gift is never greater
13:14 than the giver.
13:17 Because the truth is, some of us will take the gift
13:21 and not like the giver.
13:24 And there are many people that you have come through
13:27 in your life that you will take what they give you
13:30 but you don't want them.
13:32 The truth is that when it comes to God,
13:37 the gift and the giver are inextricably tied together.
13:43 And that is the gift of God is God himself.
13:48 And in order then to receive the gifts and not be carried
13:51 away with the gifts, he has to bring you through
13:55 a character development so that when you get the gift
14:00 you can handle it.
14:03 It's a critical thing.
14:05 That's why Paul now says, "We glory in tribulations also,
14:10 "knowing that tribulations worketh patience
14:13 "and patience experience and experience hope.
14:18 "And then hope maketh not ashamed."
14:22 When he uses the word glory, it comes from (speaking in foreign
14:27 language)
14:28 and the Greek word there is to glory on account of a thing
14:33 that is to exalt because of something.
14:37 When you understand that, I think the greatest example
14:40 is Joseph and that is Joseph had to exalt God
14:45 in any place and in any position that he found himself.
14:52 If you check Joseph carefully, you will find that it was
14:56 not love that got him to the palace.
14:59 It was not niceties and genuineness that got him
15:04 to the palace.
15:06 We search our lives over looking for people who will be
15:09 nice to us and we think that niceties and goodness
15:14 towards us is what God uses to take us to the next level.
15:20 But if you look at Joseph's life, you will understand
15:24 that what motivated him and what drove him to the palace,
15:28 what initiated the drive to the palace was not love,
15:33 but it was hatred.
15:35 It was hatred that started him on his way to the purpose
15:40 that God wanted him to fulfill.
15:44 I think every now and then you ought to give God thanks
15:47 for your haters.
15:49 Every now and then you ought to give God praise
15:54 for the people who are trying to destroy you
15:58 because oftentimes in their destruction,
16:02 they will find that there was nothing they could do
16:06 when God has a purpose for your life.
16:09 Can I take my time here?
16:12 I came to have some church today, I didn't come to sin.
16:16 It's a critical thing because in his household,
16:21 the very household he was in was a household of hatred.
16:26 Just give me some thought, it's very naturally now,
16:30 God did not have to go down and stir his brothers up.
16:34 His father had two wives, he liked Rachel
16:38 more than he liked Leah.
16:41 And so you can imagine now, Rachel's not having any babies,
16:44 Leah's having the babies, and Leah is not the one
16:47 he's crazy about because they tricked him into Leah anyway.
16:51 And then his father is going with all of the maids.
16:55 So can you imagine now you've got a group of folks
16:58 sitting around the table, you've got one group
17:01 from the wife he loves, which is Joseph and Benjamin,
17:05 you got another group from the wife
17:07 he don't really care about,
17:08 and then you got another group from the maids.
17:11 So here is what's happening around the table.
17:15 Well, I don't know why you would have anything to say
17:17 because the truth is my father didn't really care
17:20 about your mother.
17:22 And then the next group is saying,
17:24 well, I don't know why you would have anything to say
17:27 because you are one of the maids' children.
17:31 It's just a household of difficulty
17:34 and trouble and tribulation.
17:37 I don't know what household you came out of,
17:40 but if God has purpose for your life,
17:44 nobody in that family can stop you from being
17:48 what God would have you to be.
17:51 - Hallelujah.
17:51 - I feel a little church coming on here.
17:54 It doesn't matter whether you're from a mixed relationship,
17:57 it doesn't matter whether you're from a relationship
18:00 or baby mama, it doesn't matter what it is.
18:03 If God intends to move you to the next level,
18:07 he will allow whatever that condition is
18:11 to promote you to where he wants you to go.
18:15 This is why you never give any credence
18:19 to where you're coming from.
18:21 You always give joy for where you're going.
18:26 I feel something pushing me already.
18:28 And it is here then that he deals with the whole issue then
18:33 of tribulation.
18:36 From the Greek word, it's oppressing.
18:38 It's oppressing together.
18:40 It's pressure, it's opposition, it's oppression,
18:43 it's affliction, it's distress.
18:45 And the Bible calls it in many places, straights.
18:50 I understand from a scientific point of view
18:54 that diamonds are only made because of pressure and heat.
18:59 They're not made because of pristine conditions.
19:02 They're made because of uncomfortable and hard situations.
19:07 And it's critical then to grasp that this is what is common
19:14 to the life of the child of God.
19:17 If I were to borrow from Peter, here's what Peter says.
19:20 He says, "Think it not strange
19:23 "when you come under fiery trials,
19:26 "because any time God has anointed you to operate
19:31 "within the parameters of the Christian journey,
19:34 "you are a target for the enemy.
19:38 "Everybody's not going to like you because you're likable.
19:43 "Everybody's not gonna favor you because you have favor.
19:46 "Any time God is moving you to a higher place,
19:50 "somebody's going to hate who you are.
19:54 "And that person is going to promote
19:57 "devilish attitudes towards you.
20:00 "But God's hands are not tied
20:03 "when there's negatives all around,
20:07 "because God can bless you in the middle of the negatives."
20:12 I heard him say, I heard him say,
20:15 "I will prepare a table before you
20:19 "in the presence of your enemies."
20:23 What he's saying is, if you're willing to eat,
20:26 I'm willing to prepare.
20:28 If you will eat in their face,
20:32 I will feed you in their face.
20:35 - Hallelujah.
20:36 - Oh, I feel like shouting in here.
20:39 And so it doesn't make sense for you
20:42 to allow the enemies of the Lord,
20:45 who become your enemies,
20:47 to cause you not to focus on what he has called you to do.
20:52 And then you've got to understand
20:54 that there is a time between
20:57 the anointing and the appointing.
21:01 And here I would use David as an example.
21:05 He was anointed, but it took 15 years
21:10 before he was appointed.
21:12 And for 15 years, Saul was trying to kill him
21:16 with a javelin, and the Bible says,
21:19 David honored God because he operated
21:24 with an excellent spirit.
21:27 Can you imagine being the first person
21:31 in a second position?
21:34 God having elevated him to be king,
21:37 and yet still he is under the attitude of Saul,
21:41 and Saul's attitude towards him is to kill him.
21:46 What I have discovered is,
21:48 if the enemy has been trying to kill you
21:51 from you were a child,
21:53 if the enemy has tried to drown you,
21:55 trying to put you in a place of non-existence,
22:00 tried to shut your mouth since you were a child,
22:03 and if it hasn't happened yet,
22:05 somebody's been blocking on your behalf.
22:08 If the enemy has tried to put you out,
22:11 tried to drive you crazy,
22:13 and you're sitting here clothed and in your right mind,
22:17 it's because God has been blocking the enemy on every hand.
22:22 And if he's blocked the enemy to this point in your life,
22:27 he's gonna take you all the way
22:29 to where he intends for you to go.
22:33 (audience cheering)
22:36 Hold that, hold that for a minute.
22:38 I'll blow a fuse.
22:40 It's critical to understand this,
22:43 that there is a time between the anointing
22:46 and the appointing,
22:48 and many times, that's the place
22:51 where he works on our character,
22:54 to build us to the point where we can give him glory
22:58 and praise in spite of what we're facing,
23:02 and not shut around and complain
23:06 or just capitulate to the enemy's desire
23:10 to shut our mouth.
23:11 I will bless the Lord at all times
23:16 because when I'm not sure about what he is doing,
23:21 I'm sure about who he is.
23:24 Ah, I feel, can I just talk like I feel it?
23:28 When you can't praise him for what he's doing,
23:32 you can always worship him for who he is.
23:37 And that's why no matter how rough it seems
23:40 and no matter how tough it is,
23:42 I can always give God the glory.
23:45 One writer says it like this.
23:47 He says when we exalt him in the middle of our trials,
23:52 he says it does not simply mean
23:56 when we are in tribulations,
23:59 but also because we are.
24:02 The tribulations then being the ground of the glorying
24:07 because we know what the end is going to be.
24:12 When I looked at a tribulation,
24:13 I look at my tribulation through faith.
24:16 And when I see faith in what I'm going through,
24:20 what I'm not seeing is what it is.
24:24 What I'm seeing is what it is going to make me.
24:28 And that's why I glory.
24:30 You see, the child of God must live by faith.
24:34 And faith has to take you out of the present
24:38 and project you into the future.
24:41 The man came along to Jesus, if you remember,
24:44 and he said, "I came to you, disciples,
24:47 "because my child has been in serious trouble,
24:50 "and I expected your disciples to cast out the devil."
24:55 Of course, Jesus asked him,
24:57 "How long has this been going on?"
25:00 And the man said to the Lord, he said,
25:02 and you know the Lord knew it,
25:04 he just wanted us to get it,
25:06 he said, "It's been going on since he was a child."
25:10 He said, "Now, Lord, if you can have compassion on us,
25:14 "then please do something."
25:18 Jesus turned around and said,
25:19 "If you believe, I can do all things.
25:23 "I'm not an anything kind of a God.
25:27 "I'm an all things kind of a God.
25:30 "If you come to me as a single person,
25:33 "don't ask me for any man.
25:36 "Ask me for all man.
25:37 "If you're trying to get a house,
25:39 "don't ask me for any house.
25:41 "Lord, just give me any house, no.
25:43 "Ask him for all house.
25:46 "If you need a blessing, it's not any blessing,
25:49 "I want all that you have for me."
25:52 You see, I'm not a hater, I'm not a hater,
25:55 because I've been through something,
25:58 and I've learned how to praise God
26:01 for people who have been through something
26:04 and now are blessed,
26:06 because I know in order for you to be blessed,
26:09 the devil had to be on your case,
26:12 and you had to learn how to glorify God
26:16 in the middle of your trial
26:19 in order to get to the end
26:21 of what he intended for your life.
26:25 It's a critical piece now,
26:27 because this requires the supernatural grace
26:31 supplied by the Holy Spirit.
26:34 It is the Holy Spirit in you
26:37 that gives you the power to be able to glorify God
26:41 in the middle of your trial.
26:43 That's not coming out of your humanity.
26:46 That's coming out of the divinity
26:48 that God has placed in you,
26:50 because you are not as a child of God
26:53 just a natural creature.
26:55 You have now moved into the supernatural
26:58 because of the power of the Holy Spirit.
27:02 That's why when I can't make it on my own,
27:06 I have to shift into the Spirit of God,
27:09 and the Spirit of God causes me to do things
27:13 that I couldn't do without his Spirit.
27:17 Can I preach like a villain?
27:19 When you deal with Jesus, for instance,
27:21 you gotta understand the humanity
27:24 and the divinity together.
27:26 It's critical to see, because in Gethsemane,
27:30 he had conflict between the humanity and his divinity.
27:35 The conflict was so complex
27:38 and so psychologically debilitating
27:42 that his blood came out of his sweat glands.
27:46 It was a psychological situation
27:49 that was so oppressing
27:52 because of the weight of what he had to do.
27:55 And yet still, when he faced it, he said,
27:59 I know, God, that you can do whatever you choose,
28:02 so why don't you let this cup pass from me?
28:06 If it be possible, let it pass.
28:09 And then he turned around and said,
28:10 after he got the victory,
28:12 nevertheless, not my will, but thou will be done.
28:18 There are some things God puts us through
28:20 that we don't wanna go through.
28:22 But then, when the Holy Ghost kicks in
28:25 and we get a view on what it's going to make us,
28:29 we can turn around and say,
28:32 nevertheless, not my will, but thy will be done.
28:37 Why?
28:38 Because when I walk with God,
28:40 I can't walk with God with a double mind.
28:43 I've gotta walk with God with a focus that says,
28:47 in spite of where I am, I am a child of God.
28:52 And I will not allow any circumstance
28:56 to stop me from knowing who I am.
29:00 So you can talk about me all you choose.
29:02 You can put me down all you want.
29:05 When you turn your back,
29:07 I'm going to rise up again because I am.
29:10 (audience cheering)
29:14 I am a child of the King.
29:17 Ah, have I told you touch your neighbor yet?
29:19 It's on the way.
29:20 Just hold on, it's coming.
29:23 The exaltation then is not in the tribulations themselves,
29:28 but in their beneficial effect upon
29:33 the life of the child of God.
29:35 You cannot be a child of God and not be chastened
29:39 because he chastens whom he loves.
29:44 I'm not afraid of my enemies when I'm walking
29:47 according to the principles of God.
29:50 I'm afraid of my enemies when I walk
29:53 outside of his principles.
29:56 As long as I'm doing what he requires,
29:59 the enemy cannot defeat me and cannot beat me up.
30:03 And if God allows the enemy in,
30:06 I'm about to have a Job experience.
30:10 Are you following me?
30:13 I can have a Job experience doing what is right
30:17 because then the Lord wants to double up on my blessings.
30:21 And so he allows the enemy to come in and bother me
30:25 to prove to the enemy that I love him
30:29 in spite of where I am.
30:32 I don't serve God for things.
30:35 I serve God because of who he is.
30:39 And I sit back and let him provide the things
30:43 because when God gives you a blessing,
30:46 there is no sorrow with it.
30:50 It comes just as beautiful as he released it.
30:54 And there's nothing the devil could do
30:56 to make something wonderful ugly
30:59 because when God gives you a blessing,
31:02 it's gonna bless you night and day.
31:06 And it will never get ugly
31:08 because the enemy can't make ugly what God makes beautiful.
31:12 (audience cheering)
31:13 Oh, I feel like churching in here.
31:16 Oh, hold it young man, just hold it for a minute.
31:19 The child of God then must look at these trials
31:23 as assets that develop his or her Christian character.
31:28 I will not run from it.
31:30 I will not run and turn my back on it,
31:33 but I will go through it.
31:35 This is why Paul now declares that it works patience.
31:40 And from the Greek word,
31:42 it means it accomplishes patience.
31:46 It's something that it's going to achieve.
31:49 What you're going through is sacrificial.
31:52 Now let me explain that.
31:55 There is something sacrificial,
31:57 but it's only sacrificial
31:59 as if when you come out on the other side, it's better.
32:04 If it's not sacrificial, then it's a loss.
32:07 If you're losing something,
32:10 you're gonna be worse off after than before,
32:14 simply because you had a loss.
32:17 But if it's a sacrifice,
32:19 then you're giving up something for something better.
32:23 The operation of your tribulation is sacrificial.
32:27 It is not a loss.
32:29 It is a time of difficulty
32:32 that's going to end up with something better.
32:35 Because you are a prophetic in your Christian walk
32:39 and you view the better in the middle of the difficulty,
32:44 you can give God glory, not when the battle is over,
32:49 but while you're in the thick of the battle
32:52 because you are guaranteed to win.
32:56 Because if God is leading you through
32:59 the valley of the shadow of death,
33:02 you don't need to fear any evil because he is with you.
33:07 He is with you in the lion's den
33:10 and the lion can't devour you while you're there.
33:14 The only thing that's going to happen
33:16 is your enemy's gonna look like fools
33:19 for putting you there in the first place.
33:22 He can be with you in the fiery furnace.
33:26 And when you come out of the fiery furnace,
33:28 you won't even smell of smoke.
33:31 When you get through with what you're going through,
33:34 nobody will ever know what it was that you had to face.
33:39 You don't look like what you've been through.
33:44 Oh, I feel like shouting in here.
33:47 Give somebody a high five and to just go through it.
33:52 That's all, just go through it.
33:54 Don't throw your hands up yet.
33:56 Don't quit yet.
33:57 Give God glory and keep going through.
34:00 The characteristics then of a man
34:03 is unswerved from his deliberate purpose
34:07 and his loyalty to faith and piety
34:10 because he is holding on to God
34:14 even in the greatest suffering,
34:16 even when things are bad.
34:19 Jesus is hanging on the cross
34:21 and the greatest miracle that he ever wrought
34:24 was when he did not come down from the cross.
34:29 When he healed the leper, that was just 10 lepers.
34:33 When he healed a woman with the issue of blood,
34:36 that was just one.
34:37 When he fed 5,000 or 4,000, that was just 9,000.
34:42 But when he wouldn't come down from the cross,
34:46 he covered everybody who was living,
34:49 everybody who would ever live,
34:51 and everybody who had lived.
34:54 The greatest miracle in your life
34:57 is going to come after your cross.
34:59 (audience cheering)
35:02 After the devil thought he had you,
35:04 you're going to rise again.
35:07 And when he rose, he declared,
35:09 all power, all power in heaven and earth
35:14 is in my hands.
35:18 I need you to give somebody a high five
35:21 and say, "Hang on in there."
35:23 There's not time to give up.
35:25 Your blessing is on the way.
35:29 And so, hupamone means to remain under.
35:33 The word for patience is stay where you are.
35:37 Anything that's causing you to get closer to God
35:41 is something you ought to give God praise for.
35:44 Anything that causes you to get on your knees
35:48 is something you ought to thank God for.
35:50 And you ought to stay there until the job is finished,
35:55 until when you come out, you come out as pure gold.
35:59 I heard Job when he said,
36:02 after he has tried me, I shall come forth as pure gold.
36:07 He's not going to become gold, he's going to be gold.
36:12 The trial doesn't make me anything,
36:15 but what I already am.
36:17 That's the beauty of me is going to come out.
36:21 The enemy trying to destroy you,
36:23 but God told me to tell you,
36:25 just endure it because I will bring you out
36:29 with a mighty hand.
36:31 I feel like having church in here.
36:33 Give somebody a high five for the third time
36:36 and say, "Neighbor, hang on in there.
36:39 "Something's about to happen.
36:42 "Something's about to take place."
36:45 The characteristic of a man.
36:47 I will not swerve.
36:49 I'll hold on to what God has told me to hold on to.
36:54 I will not back up.
36:57 I will not go back into Egypt
37:00 because I'm looking for a Jehovah-neesie.
37:03 I will not go back into Egypt.
37:06 I'm looking for a Jehovah-jireh,
37:09 a Jehovah-mack-a-deesh,
37:11 a Jehovah-ro-feekah,
37:13 a Jehovah-ro-ach,
37:15 a Jehovah-sick-a-new.
37:17 I'm holding on with my purpose
37:20 because every time a trial arises,
37:24 I get a revelation from God
37:26 that tells me I'm on the path
37:30 to where God would have me to go.
37:32 And every time I look back,
37:34 I give God praise for what he brought me through.
37:39 I'm getting ready to close.
37:41 I'm getting ready to shut it down.
37:44 But you've gotta understand something,
37:47 that krupa moni leads to dokomazo,
37:51 and dokomazo is approval.
37:54 I feel like preaching.
37:56 Give somebody high five and say,
37:58 "Neighbor, I've been approved.
38:01 "I've been approved."
38:03 You've got to hold on until you get your approval.
38:08 Y'all ready to have church?
38:10 Tell him, "Hit me in the gaps.
38:12 "Hit me in the gaps.
38:14 "Don't hit me all the way, just in the gaps."
38:17 Give somebody high five and say,
38:19 "I've been through and I'm ready to be certified."
38:24 How many people have a car out here?
38:29 Who has a car?
38:30 Well, I don't know any car
38:33 that is released without it being tested.
38:36 They'll take a car,
38:38 they'll put it in a wind tunnel and blow the wind over it.
38:41 And if the design isn't right,
38:44 they'll break it down and put it back together
38:47 so the wind can flow.
38:49 And it's same car,
38:51 they take the oil out of the engine
38:53 and run it without oil.
38:55 They look at what breaks,
38:57 then they tear it down, put it back together
39:00 and makes the adjustments.
39:02 They put the car in the desert
39:04 and they run it in hot weather.
39:07 And then they look at the engine,
39:08 pull it back down and put it back together.
39:11 They take it to Alaska, put it in the cold.
39:14 Then they see what happens.
39:17 They break down the engine, put it back together
39:20 and then they make the improvements.
39:23 They put the car in a crash
39:25 with a dummy sitting on the inside.
39:28 And after the car crashes,
39:30 they put it back together,
39:32 make the improvements
39:34 and then they stamp on the car,
39:37 guaranteed.
39:38 It is approved.
39:40 It is certified.
39:41 Well, I just rose to tell you
39:44 that I've been put in the desert.
39:46 He took me apart,
39:48 put me back together
39:50 and made the improvements.
39:52 He put me in the cold,
39:55 took me apart,
39:56 put me back together
39:58 and made the improvements.
40:00 I've crashed many times in my life,
40:04 but instead of it killing me,
40:06 he put me apart,
40:07 put me back together.
40:09 And now he says,
40:11 you are approved.
40:13 I'm approved for a fresh anointing.
40:15 I'm approved for a higher walk.
40:18 I'm approved for a greater level.
40:20 Look at your neighbor and say,
40:23 neighbor, I've been approved.
40:26 It's my time.
40:27 It's my season.
40:29 It's my walk.
40:30 It's my talk.
40:32 I'm ready to move to another level.
40:36 I have been.
40:38 I have been.
40:41 I have been.
40:42 Hallelujah.
40:44 Hallelujah.
40:46 Woo.
40:47 Hallelujah.
40:49 God bless you today.
40:51 God bless you today.
40:53 Shake somebody's hand
40:54 like you're going to shake it off
40:56 and say, neighbor,
40:58 get ready for your next level.
41:01 You've come through and you've learned.
41:04 I will bless the Lord at all times.
41:08 Hallelujah.
41:11 Hallelujah.
41:13 His praise.
41:15 Hallelujah.
41:17 His praise.
41:18 Hallelujah.
41:19 His praise.
41:21 Hallelujah.
41:21 Shall continually be in my mouth.
41:26 I will.
41:27 I will.
41:29 I will.
41:30 I will.
41:31 Yeah.
41:32 [MUSIC PLAYING]
41:59 Your final testimony is you meant it for evil.
42:07 [CHEERING]
42:10 But God-- somebody holler, but God.
42:17 But God--
42:18 But God--
42:20 --meant it for good.
42:21 Hallelujah.
42:25 There is no stopping you.
42:29 [CHEERING]
42:32 There is no stopping you.
42:38 Because you were chosen in him before the foundation
42:42 of the world.
42:44 And everything you go through makes you better.
42:50 [CHEERING]
42:54 Not bitter, but better.
43:02 And God's going to bless you so well,
43:07 you're going to be good to people who
43:09 would never be good to you.
43:10 [CHEERING]
43:13 I see you standing.
43:20 [CHATTER]
43:23 Hm?
43:23 He's ready.
43:27 [LAUGHTER]
43:30 If you're in this place and you're not born again,
43:37 if you came with someone and you don't know Jesus Christ
43:41 as your personal Savior, there's absolutely no way for me
43:46 to go further without inviting you to give your life to Christ.
43:53 You're going to say, I should have done it a long time ago.
43:59 Once you feel the power of his anointing and the change
44:04 he brings to your life, the only thing you're going to say
44:07 is, I should have done this a long time ago.
44:09 It's so wonderful.
44:11 That was my testimony.
44:14 And I know it'll be your testimony.
44:15 There's no greater walk than to walk with God.
44:19 It is so liberating.
44:21 It sets you free in so many aspects of your life.
44:26 If you're here, come.
44:28 Come.
44:30 My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood
44:38 and righteousness.
44:40 I dare not trust the sweet refrain,
44:45 but wholly come from the overflow on Jesus' name.
44:50 On Christ, the solid rock I stand.
44:55 All other ground is sinking sand.
45:00 See, young people don't sing this.
45:02 All other ground is sinking sand.
45:06 On Christ, the solid rock I stand.
45:11 All other ground is sinking sand.
45:17 All other ground is sinking sand.
45:22 Every head bowed.
45:24 Somebody coming.
45:28 Somebody's coming.
45:29 [APPLAUSE]
45:34 Rock I stand.
45:35 All other ground is sinking sand.
45:43 Thank you, Jesus.
45:44 Oh.
45:46 Other ground.
45:48 Where are my ministering angels?
45:51 Where are my ministering angels?
45:53 Thank you, Jesus.
45:54 Somebody else.
45:55 Come on.
45:56 Where are my ministering angels?
46:02 Thank you, Jesus.
46:03 On Christ, the solid rock I stand.
46:09 All other ground is sinking sand.
46:15 All other ground.
46:18 Bow every head.
46:19 Every head.
46:21 Father, our hearts and our spirits
46:26 that are joined with you touch my brother and my sister.
46:36 They've come to acknowledge the fact that you are our savior.
46:42 I pray, God, that the born again experience,
46:47 they will usher new life in the name of Jesus.
46:53 And as we minister to them now, let your spirit
46:56 rest upon them heavily.
46:59 Forgive sins.
46:59 Remove age old habits.
47:04 Break every fallow ground.
47:06 We speak it in Jesus' name.
47:09 Amen.
47:10 Minister, minister.
47:13 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
47:14 [MUSIC PLAYING]
47:18 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
47:21 [MUSIC PLAYING]
47:24 (upbeat music)
47:27 >> Thank you.
47:28 [BLANK_AUDIO]
