00:00 with sex you tie your whole soul.
00:02 So when a man laying up with another man,
00:06 when a man is creeping on his wife,
00:11 when a single person as good as it feels
00:15 is laying with somebody,
00:17 committing or creating another soul tie,
00:21 the brother just dropping some sperm off in you,
00:23 not just dropping some sperm off,
00:25 he dropping some of him off in you.
00:29 The only time Holy Spirit smiles
00:34 is when a husband is making love to his wife.
00:40 Welcome back to Dr. R.A. Burnett TV season three.
00:45 Let's get it tonight.
00:47 My subject is,
00:50 I identify as a Christian.
00:53 Who is tonight for you?
00:54 You have any family members, coworkers, children,
00:57 anybody that's important to you
01:00 that deals with transgenderism, homosexuality?
01:04 Are you married?
01:05 Does your husband or did your husband have a side chick?
01:10 Do you have a side man?
01:12 Are you single and sleeping around?
01:14 This is for everybody.
01:16 35 minutes of sexual substance,
01:20 biblically teaching you what the scripture says
01:24 about all of it.
01:25 I've never seen this done.
01:26 I need you to put your seatbelt on.
01:28 I'm going fast, but I promise you, I won't skip substance.
01:32 I have so much to tell you.
01:34 Let's start off with this.
01:35 This is a Bible cast.
01:37 This is not just a podcast.
01:39 I am a pastor by occupation and vocation
01:43 is what God called me to do.
01:45 And it's how I feed my children.
01:46 So I take it real serious.
01:49 And these young geniuses around me
01:52 are really pushing me on the criticality
01:55 of speaking to people where they are
01:58 in this post pandemic age.
01:59 It's like, you got to get to it
02:01 and say something people can feel.
02:03 That said, I'm not just interested in clickbait.
02:05 I'm not saying nothing.
02:07 I don't mean, and I promise you,
02:09 I'm not saying something just to get people to like,
02:13 follow anything like that.
02:15 This is from my heart.
02:16 So watch this.
02:17 Are any of your children gay?
02:19 You got a brother who's gay?
02:20 You got any cross dressing family members?
02:23 You got any children that's not married
02:25 but keep giving you grandchildren?
02:28 Do you have a spouse?
02:31 And there's been some issues with adultery.
02:33 Okay, maybe he got a side chick.
02:35 Now, maybe you've done it.
02:36 We're gonna talk about all of it tonight
02:38 without being bombastic.
02:41 We just wanna be biblical.
02:42 Okay, I wanna talk about it.
02:43 So let's start with this.
02:44 You should absolutely log off
02:47 if you don't believe in the Bible.
02:49 If you don't believe in God and don't want to,
02:51 this is probably not the Bible cast for you.
02:53 I'm being honest.
02:54 I believe in something we talk about in seminary
02:57 called sola scriptura.
03:00 Sola scriptura.
03:03 Drop it, Phil.
03:03 I wanna define that for them.
03:05 Sola scriptura rejects any originable,
03:08 infallible authority other than the Bible.
03:10 In this view, all secondary authority
03:13 is derived from the authority of the scripture
03:15 and is therefore subject to reform
03:17 when compared to the teaching of the Bible.
03:20 Here's the scripture reference, 2 Timothy 3, 16.
03:22 All scripture is inspired by God
03:24 and is useful to teach us what is true
03:26 and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.
03:29 It corrects us when we are wrong
03:30 and teaches us to do what is right.
03:32 God uses it to prepare and equip his people
03:35 to do every good work, verse 17.
03:38 So that said, here's the first thing I wanna tell you.
03:41 I don't take the Bible literally,
03:44 but I do take it very seriously.
03:47 I do not take the Bible literally.
03:50 Oh, I'm logging off.
03:51 Oh, I'm logging off.
03:53 This guy's crazy.
03:54 He's a heretic.
03:55 He doesn't take the Bible literally.
03:56 Well, you don't either.
03:57 I'll prove it to you.
03:58 The Word Nation knows this,
03:59 but our Bible cast audience needs to know
04:02 why people maybe trust their pastor scripturally
04:05 because I give them scriptures like this.
04:06 Matthew 18, verses eight and nine.
04:08 If your hand or your foot causes you to lose your faith,
04:12 cut it off.
04:14 Throw it away.
04:15 It is better to enter life disabled
04:17 than to have two hands or feet.
04:20 Verse nine says, if your eye causes you to lose your faith,
04:24 tear it out and throw it away.
04:25 Is the Bible talking about cutting my hands off?
04:28 If I've done something nasty with these hands,
04:31 and I have, and just about every grown person on here has too.
04:36 If I've looked at something trifling with these eyes,
04:39 and I have, on your computer, on your phone,
04:42 then pluck your eye out.
04:44 Well, if you are a literalist,
04:46 do whatever the Bible says literally,
04:48 then you shouldn't have no hands, no feet, and no eyes.
04:53 But that does not mean we don't take it seriously.
04:57 Dr. Vernon, you cannot trust the Bible
04:59 as God's complete revelation to man.
05:02 Look at this, and then let's jump right
05:03 into the first thing I wanna talk about.
05:05 If you take the Bible from me, what I got, here it is.
05:10 It is the closest thing to the heart of God
05:15 that we have on this earth.
05:16 The Bible is the closest document.
05:20 It is the closest thing.
05:21 Be careful, theologians and fellow pastors
05:24 who have a low value of scripture.
05:26 We know about some of the errors in scripture
05:30 because of the scribes and issues with translation.
05:33 You've seen the movie "Lost in Translation."
05:35 There are some things, there are some issues.
05:37 There are all kinds of issues
05:39 in terms of male dominance and patriarchy.
05:43 And we know that, but that said,
05:45 be careful not to dismiss it and throw it away
05:50 because in the absence of scripture,
05:54 all we have is subjective discourse.
05:57 So tonight, here's what I'm gonna do.
05:59 I'm gonna talk about this whole transgender thing.
06:02 I'm gonna talk about this whole polygamy thing.
06:05 All over Instagram, it's me and my two wives.
06:08 And it's a girl I saw with her two husbands.
06:11 That's really trifling to me,
06:12 because I'm a bruh.
06:14 Ain't nowhere in the world
06:15 I'm laying up some other cat smash in my wife,
06:17 whatever night I don't want her.
06:19 And she jumping back and forth between us.
06:21 No, no, Jesus.
06:24 So let's talk about that.
06:25 Yeah, let's talk about singles.
06:27 Yeah, who have real anthropological attraction.
06:31 You not crazy, but what type of sex you get to have
06:35 and how do you get to have it?
06:36 Let's talk about all of it tonight.
06:38 I can't wait.
06:39 Let's talk about this whole idea, number one,
06:41 which is the hot topic right now, transgenderism.
06:44 I'm giving you a scripture.
06:45 We going fast.
06:46 I got 35 minutes to do some major damage to the devil.
06:49 So listen fast.
06:50 Genesis 1:27.
06:52 So God created human beings in his own image.
06:55 In the image of God, he created them male and female.
07:00 He created them.
07:02 Now this is why, male and female, he created them.
07:06 This is why you're not gonna dismiss me,
07:10 because there are theologians watching.
07:11 There are, watch this, transgenders watching,
07:15 cross-dressing brothers and sisters watching.
07:18 They wanna know, is this the average buffoonery
07:21 where the guy has no science or substance.
07:25 He's just saying church stuff.
07:26 Oh no, I didn't just fall off a wagon.
07:29 Theologically, that's what the text says.
07:33 But biologically and anthropologically,
07:36 what do you do when you got a penis and a vagina?
07:40 Hermaphrodites.
07:42 Hermaphrodites, they are real individuals.
07:46 Now it happens mostly in the animal kingdom
07:49 where there are people or animals who have two genitalia.
07:53 They are rare.
07:53 Few humans who are born with intersex chromosomes
07:58 and/or intersex genitalia.
08:03 But there are some, a very minute,
08:06 minuscule, myopic amount of people.
08:08 I mean, do you know one?
08:10 Have you ever heard of one?
08:12 Is there one in your family?
08:13 99.9% of you.
08:15 The answer's no.
08:17 So most people who deal with this whole transgender thing,
08:22 it's not biological, it's emotional.
08:26 It's mental.
08:27 Let's go here.
08:28 It's sexual, okay?
08:29 Hermaphrodites, hermaphrodites.
08:31 They're very few people, but you gotta be careful.
08:33 Genesis 1, 27, either you a man or a woman,
08:36 and that stuff is the devil.
08:38 Let's go here.
08:39 First and foremost, there are some people
08:41 who have both genitalia.
08:42 There are some that have even had babies,
08:46 and guess what they refer to them as scientifically?
08:49 Female or girl.
08:51 That tripped me out.
08:52 In true hermaphrodites,
08:54 there have been at least 11 pregnancies recorded.
08:56 So hermaphrodite girls can have babies,
08:59 which means you'll tend to have more female chromosomes
09:04 than male chromosomes,
09:06 which means you should identify as a woman,
09:11 even though many even have the penis removed
09:13 because there's more chromosomes.
09:16 Pastor, that's heavy.
09:17 It is heavy.
09:18 That's Genesis 3, the fall of man.
09:21 Let's start here, and then I'm going someplace,
09:24 and then there's a transgender person watching
09:26 or a gay brother or sister watching.
09:29 Just everybody.
09:30 Somebody creeping on your wife.
09:31 You do not want to turn off because I'm going here.
09:36 In Genesis 3, in case you believe the Bible,
09:40 when man fell, when Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit,
09:44 we call it the fall of man.
09:45 I'm not gonna park here too long
09:47 except to tell you everything got screwed up.
09:49 Yeah, there are babies born with cancer,
09:52 no legs and no arms.
09:53 If you can be broken physically,
09:55 you can be broken sexually.
09:57 If you can be broken physically,
09:59 beautiful brother in our church,
10:01 the word nation knows who he is,
10:02 deals with MS in a wheelchair.
10:04 Matter of fact, just met a beautiful girl.
10:06 I'm so proud of him, and she loves him just as he is,
10:10 but dealing with MS with a beautiful heart.
10:14 How do you explain that?
10:15 The fall of man.
10:17 Yeah, were you doing right by your husband,
10:19 and he did wrong by you?
10:21 The fall of man.
10:23 Are either of your parents not in your life
10:26 or in your life and still missing?
10:29 The fall of man.
10:30 If you can be broken emotionally and broken physically,
10:34 watch this, in my opinion,
10:38 you can be broken sexually.
10:40 You can be a man,
10:41 but something in you just wants to put on woman's clothes.
10:45 You're not an evil person.
10:46 You don't hate anybody.
10:48 You don't know why this particular proclivity is on you.
10:52 Let me explain it to you.
10:53 The fall of man.
10:55 Therefore, there has to be something bigger
11:00 than how I feel.
11:01 I'm starting early with this.
11:02 I can't stand do what you feel.
11:05 Here's another term I can't stand.
11:07 Do you?
11:08 Oh, you don't want me to do me,
11:10 'cause me is nasty.
11:11 Me would probably have 30 chicks in the bed
11:15 with some wicked bodies.
11:16 Every pastor watching me know I'm shooting truth.
11:19 A straight up heterosexual brother,
11:21 no matter how much he loved his wife,
11:24 probably would not mind 30 fine things in his bed
11:28 one at a time.
11:29 But once I saw what scripture says
11:32 and how that dishonors the heart of God
11:35 and dishonors my wife, watch this,
11:38 I don't live my life by how I feel.
11:41 I live my life by what he said.
11:46 Yeah, because I cannot always control how I feel,
11:51 but I'm absolutely in charge of what I do.
11:54 So tonight, I wanna say to all of you
11:57 that may deal with this idea where young people,
12:01 some girl watching who wants to dress like a boy,
12:04 a boy watching, or transgender,
12:06 I have a male body, but I really feel like I'm a female.
12:10 I do not discount your feelings.
12:13 I do not tell you that you don't feel that way.
12:16 I tell you, be careful, parents.
12:19 Okay, my son, Ralph, let's go right here,
12:22 'cause I got a long way to go and a little bit of time.
12:24 It's 17 years old.
12:25 We just went, Ray's over there.
12:27 We just went on our final vacation
12:31 before the new additions get here.
12:32 My son, Ray, is having a baby boy.
12:35 My daughter, Shanae, is having a baby girl.
12:38 I mean, they're gonna be born
12:39 like two months apart from each other,
12:41 so we just skipping.
12:42 So my girl, for her birthday,
12:43 she like, "I want all of our kids to go on vacation
12:47 for the final time before the grandkids get here."
12:49 So we kicking it.
12:50 We in the water, all of us.
12:52 It's just crazy.
12:53 All of us in the pool, literally all of us,
12:56 all of my children and my wife.
12:58 And Ralph saw, was kind of in a good mood.
13:00 I'm looking at Ray's tattoo.
13:01 Ray got Vernon on his back,
13:03 and he got a tattoo here on his arm.
13:05 And my son, Dominic, got the same tattoo
13:07 with my initials, my wife initials,
13:10 all their siblings initials.
13:12 And Ralph kind of gave me that look like,
13:14 it's time, Dad.
13:15 Now, he'd been wanting this tattoo
13:16 since he was about 12, 13.
13:18 You know what I told him?
13:20 I can't let you do nothing to your body
13:22 at 12, 13, 14, 15, that you might regret at 50.
13:27 Yeah, your brain is still forming.
13:30 That's scientific too, by the way.
13:32 Into your 20s, your brain is still forming
13:35 in terms of attraction and what you like and all of that.
13:38 So don't do nothing permanent, I told him.
13:41 But guess what I did?
13:42 I gave in.
13:43 At 17, he'll be 18 on his birthday,
13:46 and whenever you're watching this in just a few months,
13:48 he might be 18 now by the time you watch this.
13:50 I thought to myself, this is probably inevitable.
13:53 He gonna get that tattoo.
13:54 It's almost like both of his brothers have it.
13:58 And I said, you know what, let's do it.
14:00 Matter of fact, I took him to the place,
14:01 paid for the thing, cost almost $1,000 too.
14:04 I paid for the tattoo, and I let him make that decision.
14:09 I'm not letting him cut his penis off.
14:12 Oh no, I don't know what type of Bible cast
14:15 you thought this was, let's go here.
14:16 I'm not gonna let him make a decision at 17
14:19 if he said, daddy, I think I'm a girl.
14:21 I wouldn't let him do that at all at 17.
14:25 There are people letting their kids do it at 12 and 13
14:30 because they saw somebody famous on TV
14:32 do it with their son.
14:33 You can't do that.
14:35 No, you cannot do that.
14:37 Somebody has to say this with a full-throated voice.
14:41 That's crazy.
14:43 That's crazy to let your baby cut their penis off
14:46 'cause they feel like a girl
14:47 because maybe they're not the best basketball player.
14:50 They can't find their rhythm in school.
14:53 So now let me do something that makes me stand out.
14:55 Kids are looking for that.
14:56 I remember myself not being the most handsome cat,
14:59 you know, living different places, trying to find identity.
15:02 And I remember doing little things
15:04 to make myself feel special, to feel loved.
15:07 I remember one time I was kind of faking headaches.
15:10 They took me to the hospital because I was faking headaches
15:12 just to get my mother and father
15:15 to be in the same room together.
15:17 That's what I did.
15:18 I was faking headaches to the point like I had a,
15:21 you know, like it just hurts so bad.
15:23 What kind of headache is that?
15:25 Migraine.
15:26 My team was like, I had a migraine and did it twice
15:29 in both months.
15:30 And sure enough, my father came to the hospital
15:32 and my mother, the whole family.
15:33 You do sick stuff when you're little,
15:35 trying to gain attention.
15:37 I don't care what nobody say, you do.
15:39 And no 13-year-old,
15:41 I got five children from 34 to 13.
15:44 You gonna pay attention to me.
15:45 I've been raising children since the nineties
15:47 and still got a 13-year-old girl in my house
15:50 and I'm in my fifties.
15:51 My wife and I done raised some children.
15:53 We've seen them go through all kinds of proclivities.
15:56 And listen, don't let your baby.
15:59 And to those of you that are grown, hear me.
16:02 I do not discount how you feel,
16:07 but I just believe what he said.
16:09 God did not call you to be the opposite sex
16:14 because of how you feel.
16:16 Though I do believe you when you say it's confusing.
16:20 I just can't live my life away from scripture.
16:24 So I would not let my son do that.
16:27 And I pray that you won't let your child do that.
16:30 Well, what about side chicks?
16:35 What about adultery?
16:37 What about polygamy?
16:38 What are you talking about tonight?
16:39 I'm talking about, I identify as a Christian,
16:42 sexuality in the church.
16:45 Let's deal with it.
16:46 Adultery.
16:47 Now this is the one nobody argues about.
16:49 When Jesus arrived on the scene one time,
16:51 he spoke about a model of marriage in Mark 10
16:54 and the Pharisees tried to trap him with this question.
16:56 Don't log off, this is so cold-blooded
16:58 because some Pharisees came to him to test him.
17:00 They asked, is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?
17:02 He answered them, what did Moses command you?
17:04 They said, Moses allowed a man
17:06 to write a certificate of dismissal
17:08 and to divorce her.
17:08 But Jesus said to them, because of your hardness of heart,
17:11 he wrote this commandment for you.
17:12 But from the beginning of creation,
17:14 God made them male and female.
17:17 Come here, transgenders.
17:19 Male and female.
17:20 For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother
17:23 and shall be joined to his wife, singular,
17:27 and the two shall become one.
17:30 Whoever divorces his wife and marries another
17:32 commits adultery.
17:34 And if she divorces her husband and marries another,
17:36 she commits adultery.
17:38 We know other than for the big three,
17:40 abandonment, abuse.
17:42 In other words, you break up with me
17:43 'cause I'm kicking you and spitting on you
17:44 and hitting you, abusing you,
17:46 you should leave my behind.
17:48 And if I won't even try to go get a job,
17:51 you should leave my behind.
17:52 If I wanna have a bunch of side chicks
17:55 or another man all in my bed,
17:57 making love to your body,
17:59 you should divorce my behind.
18:00 If I want another man over you
18:02 and I won't stop and all that,
18:05 another subject.
18:07 Here's what Jesus said that's critical.
18:08 He says, "From the beginning,"
18:10 Genesis 1 and 2,
18:12 "From the beginning,"
18:14 that's not what God wanted,
18:16 but because of the fall of man.
18:18 And the same Moses that wrote the certificate of divorce
18:22 had two wives himself.
18:24 We know David had a bunch of them.
18:27 Solomon had 700 of them.
18:28 Y'all ready for this?
18:29 This is gonna be the most, I don't know,
18:32 have you ever heard a Bible cast like this?
18:34 You can justify polygamy in scripture
18:37 more than you can homosexuality.
18:39 Let me say that again.
18:40 You can justify polygamy scripturally
18:44 more than you can homosexuality.
18:46 Clearly you can.
18:47 You can justify.
18:48 Our biblical ballers had multiple wives.
18:53 Here's what Jesus said.
18:55 That's not what I wanted from the beginning.
18:58 I wanted a husband to cleave,
19:01 dawg-bog, to his wife,
19:04 singular, Hebraically.
19:06 It is one wife.
19:07 Then we see, and I'm going here.
19:09 I'm going, I'm good on time, right?
19:12 I'm good.
19:13 Let's do this.
19:14 I'm going here because I can understand polygamy,
19:18 particularly now.
19:20 I'm going here.
19:20 Okay.
19:22 You ain't see this coming.
19:23 Yeah, I had this conversation with my wife, by the way.
19:25 So don't think I'm just, you know, I'm not scared.
19:27 I'm telling you the truth.
19:28 Logically, I can understand polygamy,
19:32 particularly now in the black ethos,
19:35 where only one in three black women will get proposed to.
19:38 These women got children.
19:40 They're beautiful.
19:41 They're sexual,
19:42 but there's not enough available black men.
19:46 There's just not.
19:47 So what's sisters doing?
19:48 They sleeping with other brothers, other sisters' husbands.
19:51 They sleeping with each other
19:53 because anthropologically, they sexual.
19:56 They not crazy.
19:57 They're not demonic.
19:58 They are sexual.
20:00 I told my girl this, I understand.
20:03 Farrakhan said, Farrakhan said that black people
20:08 are gonna have to have a major conversation
20:10 about polygamy.
20:11 Now let's go here.
20:13 In other words, what he's saying is,
20:14 take a brother like me.
20:15 And by the way, Lady Verna, you watch it.
20:17 Do not, I'm good.
20:18 You all, I'm good.
20:19 You know, the whole world know, girl, you gotta know.
20:21 Ooh, I'm good.
20:23 But let's just go here.
20:24 Let's say for instance, I took on another two, three women
20:28 who had children.
20:30 They all live at my home with me
20:33 so that those children have a father in the house.
20:36 She has somebody to make love to maybe once, whatever,
20:40 so that at least she's not out here in these streets.
20:43 I can take care of her children.
20:45 Some believe that a man can have as many wives
20:49 as he can provide for.
20:51 And some women were raised in a context
20:54 where that's not even abnormal.
20:56 They're used to daddy having two, three wives
20:58 and their brothers and sisters.
21:00 And the reason is so that black children
21:03 could have at least a covering
21:05 and black women could have at least somebody
21:07 to make love to.
21:09 Now, logically, that makes sense to me.
21:12 I just can't get there theologically.
21:15 No, the Bible says the bishop, and I need to be clear,
21:19 should be the husband of one wife.
21:21 The Bible does not say a man.
21:23 So be careful, you gotta know your scriptures
21:25 because people will dismiss you.
21:27 The Bible says the bishop should be the husband of one wife,
21:31 but we see a biblical pattern that suggests
21:36 that God's original plan,
21:38 and according to the New Testament,
21:40 is for a man to have only one wife.
21:44 Oh, we going here.
21:45 So logically, polygamy makes sense to me.
21:49 If your wife don't mind
21:51 and you take on another beautiful sister,
21:53 not just for sex, you can have sex by cheating.
21:56 I'm not just talking about for sex.
21:57 I'm talking about so that black children
22:00 could have a covering
22:01 and black women could have a covering,
22:03 a man to make love to,
22:04 plus men tend to like variety, wrong or right.
22:07 So a lot of people feel like that would cover that.
22:10 But I don't go by how I feel or what's in this brain.
22:13 I identify as a Christian.
22:17 And therefore, for me,
22:20 scripture has high value and I can't get there.
22:25 You don't get,
22:27 you don't get to have more than one wife.
22:32 You don't get to have two husbands.
22:34 I don't care what you see on Instagram.
22:36 I'm sure it's fun seeing feel good one penis tonight,
22:40 another penis tomorrow.
22:41 Most women don't want that,
22:43 but many men will like that kind of variety.
22:47 So he got two wives and I see one guy,
22:49 he laying up there with his three women
22:51 all on the couch, his wives.
22:54 That's not biblical.
22:55 That's not biblical.
22:56 Now, if you dismiss scripture, then dismiss me.
22:59 Dismiss this Bible cast.
23:00 But if God and scripture has a high value,
23:03 one more time,
23:05 I can justify polygamy more than I can homosexuality.
23:10 You can't justify homosexuality,
23:13 but let's go there
23:14 because there's some beautiful gay brothers,
23:16 lesbian sisters watching this tonight.
23:19 If not, please let your gay child see this
23:22 or your lesbian friend or coworker
23:25 because homosexuality is prevalent too.
23:28 You see, I ain't scared of none of it.
23:29 I think it's all real.
23:31 We tend to talk about one of them
23:32 instead of talking about all sexual deviance
23:35 and letting scripture be true.
23:37 Homosexuality, I don't have to define that.
23:39 It's the idea that I'm a man,
23:42 but I like making love to a man.
23:44 I'm a woman, but I feel more comfortable,
23:47 more sexual, more turned on with another woman.
23:51 Okay, so let me give you the clearest scripture
23:54 in the Bible on homosexuality, in my opinion.
23:58 Please forgive this subjective discourse,
24:00 but this is really clear to me.
24:02 Paul, the talented tent maker from Tarsus,
24:06 tells us in Romans 1, verse 24, don't log off.
24:09 For this reason, God allowed their lust to control them.
24:13 As a result, they dishonor their bodies
24:16 by sexual perversion with each other.
24:20 These people have exchanged God's truth for a lie.
24:23 So they have become ungodly to serve what is created
24:26 rather than the creator who is blessed forever, amen.
24:29 Verse 26 is where every person watching this who's gay,
24:34 got to lean in if you're a Christian.
24:36 For this reason, God allowed their shameful passions
24:40 to control them.
24:41 Here it is.
24:42 Their women have exchanged natural sexual relations
24:47 for unnatural ones.
24:49 Likewise, their men have given up natural sexual relations
24:54 with women and burn with lust for each other.
24:58 Men commit indecent acts with men,
25:01 so they experience among themselves the punishment
25:05 they deserve for their perversion.
25:07 Now this text crave some context
25:09 in that Greco-Roman culture,
25:12 everybody was screwing everybody.
25:15 Particularly all kinds of bisexual encounters,
25:20 orgies, little boys, Greco-Roman men would have little boys
25:25 as their play toys.
25:26 Now let me give you how some pastors
25:30 and some that you look up to, I just disagree with them.
25:33 To all of my brother and sister pastors,
25:35 there's some gay pastors and gay theologian pastors
25:39 who are gonna try to dismiss this,
25:41 they'll watch this, please send this
25:42 to one of your liberal pastors
25:44 who say that same sex marriage is fine.
25:47 'Cause many of you, and I can name some famous pastors,
25:51 more members than me, I'll preach me,
25:54 but they have a right to be wrong.
25:56 Cornel West says, "Somebody wrong."
25:58 I'm wrong on so much.
25:59 I'm not wrong on this.
26:00 They take Romans one.
26:02 Let me give you one of the interpretations I've had.
26:05 One of the interpretations I've heard,
26:07 Paul said it's unnatural.
26:09 Here's what a gay professor told me.
26:12 He said, "Dr. Vernon, for you,
26:15 sleeping with a man would be unnatural.
26:17 For you, Dr. Vernon, sleeping with a man would be unnatural
26:22 because you're heterosexual and you are attracted to women.
26:26 So for you to sleep with a man would be unnatural."
26:31 He said, "But me as a gay brother,
26:33 if I sleep with a man, that's natural for me.
26:38 That's not unnatural."
26:39 Let me tell you what we call that in theological circles.
26:42 A strained exegesis.
26:45 That's a strained exegesis.
26:47 To all of the biblical scholars watching me,
26:50 Paul said what he said.
26:52 Dr. William H. Myers, PhD, New Testament scholar
26:57 at Ashland Theological Seminary,
26:59 and my educational mentor, PhD, six earned degrees,
27:03 and he is a Pauline scholar.
27:06 And he told me years ago, Paul meant what he said.
27:11 You cannot, you cannot misinterpret Paul.
27:14 Paul's not talking about Greco-Roman culture.
27:17 He's not talking about anything
27:18 except what he's talking about.
27:19 When Paul calls it unnatural for a man to touch a man,
27:23 that's what Paul meant.
27:24 Now you can still do it, but he calls it unnatural.
27:27 I'm saying that to say that there is nothing in scripture
27:31 anywhere that justifies two men making love
27:35 or two women making love.
27:36 Please don't lock off, but I do not believe people who say,
27:41 don't tell me he was born that way.
27:43 People can be born that way.
27:46 People say there's no scientific proof
27:48 that proves that a man is born gay.
27:50 I agree, but I know too many parents who have told me,
27:54 my kids never wrestled with this,
27:55 that their children were playing with dolls.
27:57 Their little son, one of my guys just told me
28:00 his son never wanted to pick up the basketball.
28:02 He was modeling masculinity in front of him.
28:05 Boxing with him, trying to hoop with him.
28:07 He just wanted to play with the little dolls.
28:10 If you can be broken physically,
28:13 if you can be born with no legs,
28:14 if you can be born with no arms,
28:17 you can be born confused sexually.
28:19 I do not dismiss people who tell me,
28:24 Dr. Vernon, I've struggled with this since I was born.
28:27 That's why they come to the word church.
28:29 That's why tens and tens and tens of gay brothers
28:32 and sisters hug me every week.
28:34 And we walk together, we walk through it.
28:36 I don't justify it.
28:38 They know I've said this and I'll continue to say it.
28:41 How come all the gay people in Cleveland
28:44 won't just go to the gay church?
28:46 'Cause every city got a gay church, right?
28:48 That's the hot thing now, right?
28:49 Gay pastor, gay whatever, and a lesbian,
28:52 two lesbian, you know, whatever, they pastoring.
28:56 Why come to a church where you know Dr. Vernon
29:00 is absolutely clear on how he defines sexuality?
29:04 Because they feel the love of God
29:06 and many of them something in their knower tells them,
29:11 some may write about another man with a penis
29:15 touching me as a man.
29:16 Even though I feel this way, they don't believe it.
29:21 I'm finished, I gotta go.
29:23 Singles having sex or fornication.
29:25 Watch this, 1 Corinthians 7, verses one and two,
29:27 and then I'm wrapping up.
29:28 I'm touching everybody tonight.
29:30 What if I'm grown and alone?
29:32 What if I'm grown and alone with all this love to give?
29:35 What if I'm grown and alone with all this love to give?
29:39 1 Corinthians 7, verse one and two.
29:41 Now regarding the questions you asked me in your letter,
29:45 yes, it is good to abstain from sexual relations,
29:48 but because, but because there is so much sexual immorality,
29:53 each man should have his own wife
29:55 and each woman should have her own husband.
29:59 People told me fornication is not even a sin.
30:02 I heard a biblical scholar, a pastor with a PhD,
30:06 I can say his name now, who was a brother in the Lord,
30:10 but he wrong.
30:11 Yeah, he said, there's nothing in scripture
30:13 that says singles having sex is technically wrong.
30:17 Now regarding the question you asked me,
30:19 is it good to abstain from sexual relations,
30:21 but because there is so much sexual immorality,
30:24 each man, what does King James Version say?
30:26 To avoid fornication, to avoid sexual sin,
30:31 let every person, that said,
30:33 this is not your regular Bible cast.
30:35 Do you know what it is to be grown and alone?
30:39 Most pastors watching, 99% of you go home
30:42 in the hips and lips.
30:44 God knows I do.
30:46 And I make love to Lady Vernon, to Victory Rose Vernon,
30:49 to Dr. Victory Rose Vernon,
30:52 and she'll tell you because I'm a pastor in my heart,
30:55 we'll get through making love.
30:57 And I'll say to her, what we just did, singles can't do.
31:01 Yeah, that stress reliever for me,
31:05 the most natural, beautiful feeling on earth I know of
31:09 that doesn't require any kind of drug substance.
31:14 And anytime a single person has sex, they sinning.
31:21 Anytime they do the most natural thing in the world,
31:26 they've broken God's heart.
31:28 That's real, she'll tell you.
31:30 That's why people buy my books about being single
31:33 and show up by the thousands,
31:35 because I tell them, I feel you, but so what?
31:40 Let's do what he said.
31:42 Let's believe God for a husband.
31:44 And let me say this parenthetically.
31:46 I gotta stop, how much time I got?
31:47 How long I been up?
31:48 - You've been up four minutes, but keep going.
31:51 - Listen, I'm gonna say this.
31:55 Pastors, kings, particularly pastors, potentates,
31:59 I'm gonna get in trouble.
32:00 Some of my dogs are single, but I tell them personally,
32:04 so now I'm gonna tell the whole world.
32:06 You need to pick one.
32:07 Listen, there are women watching this.
32:11 I got two single ones here too.
32:12 They finna pick, they're on these cameras.
32:14 Yeah, yeah, feel, both of y'all.
32:16 Yeah, y'all finna pick because yeah, listen.
32:21 This is cold.
32:22 How long I been up?
32:23 Tell me exactly, 35 minutes?
32:25 Well, that's okay.
32:26 Don't worry about it now.
32:27 Let me just say this.
32:27 Here's what's crazy.
32:28 If only one in three black women will get proposed to
32:36 because there is a lack of men, black men available,
32:42 then the converse has to also be true.
32:45 If only one in three women will get proposed to
32:48 because there are not enough black men,
32:51 then the antithesis has to be true
32:53 that for black men is more than you can count.
32:56 If it's not enough,
32:59 then that makes you the hottest thing in the world.
33:03 If there's a food shortage and only one store got food,
33:05 how much can they charge for that food?
33:07 Do you realize if you are a black man
33:09 with a job and love Jesus,
33:11 you can have anybody,
33:14 cold, built, thick, bickness, bick-these,
33:18 love Jesus, job, no job, house, no house, you are it.
33:23 And I just can't find,
33:26 what do you mean you can't find?
33:26 You don't wanna find nobody.
33:28 You don't wanna get tied down.
33:29 So there, out of the millions of black women in churches,
33:33 fine, in and out,
33:37 not one is good enough to be your wife.
33:39 Doop, doop, doop, doop.
33:43 No, you better pick one.
33:46 You better pick one.
33:47 I say that to say,
33:49 there's not enough black men available,
33:53 but there's an abundance of beautiful black women
33:56 and all of them not crazy.
33:58 All of them not mental.
34:00 Some of them are fine,
34:01 could be Miss USA,
34:04 no children, with children, grown children,
34:06 whatever you want, they are available.
34:08 I'm pushing black men who like to have sex,
34:11 which is most of us, pick one.
34:13 I'm done.
34:14 Final word, final word.
34:16 Why so much on sexuality tonight?
34:19 First Corinthians 6, 18,
34:21 stay away from sexual sin.
34:25 Other sins that people commit
34:27 don't affect their bodies the same way sexual sins do.
34:31 People who sin sexually sin against their own bodies.
34:36 Paul said clearly, the scripture says,
34:39 I have a very sola scriptura,
34:43 high value of Bible, high value of Bible.
34:47 I know it's not a perfect document.
34:49 I don't take the Bible literally,
34:52 but I do take it seriously.
34:54 The scripture says, you can lie, that's wrong.
34:57 Yeah, you can have a bad attitude.
34:59 You can steal something.
35:00 The scripture says, it's not like sex.
35:02 With sex, you tie your whole soul.
35:04 So when a man laying up with another man,
35:10 when a man is creeping on his wife,
35:13 when a single person, as good as it feels,
35:17 is laying up with somebody,
35:20 committing or creating another soul tie,
35:23 the brother just dropping some sperm off in you,
35:25 not just dropping some sperm off,
35:27 he dropping some of him off in you.
35:30 The only time Holy Spirit smiles
35:37 is when a husband is making love to his wife,
35:42 which is a model of Christ and the church,
35:48 which is why sometime when I'm making love
35:50 to Victory Rose Vernon, I be praying in tongues.
35:54 Literally, I be thanking God,
35:56 thinking this is the will of God, that connection.
36:00 Everything else outside of that is a sin, pastor.
36:05 That's just not how I identify.
36:07 I identify as a Christian,
36:13 and my Christianity supersedes my sexuality.
36:18 It supersedes my blackness.
36:22 It supersedes every part of me.
36:25 I'm with Jesus first.
36:27 Dr. Vernon, why?
36:28 I hear you teach on a lot of stuff,
36:30 but I'm not gonna lie.
36:31 Every time I look up,
36:32 you're talking about singles and married people
36:35 and homosexuality and polygamy and transgenderism.
36:39 Why?
36:40 Is that the only thing you're concerned about?
36:42 The Lord gave me this.
36:43 I told my wife.
36:44 It made me stand up in the house and almost shout
36:48 because I caught why I'm so passionate.
36:50 You ready?
36:52 What civil rights was to Dr. King, family is to me.
36:57 Let me try that again.
36:59 What civil rights was to Dr. King, family is to me.
37:04 I don't know why.
37:07 Do you know why you're passionate about a certain subject?
37:10 If I had to guess,
37:11 maybe because my mom was young when she had me,
37:14 and I live five or six places,
37:16 and I know the pain of being disconnected from parents
37:21 and how that's impacted me as a grown man.
37:24 And because I'm raising five children,
37:27 two of them are not mine biologically,
37:29 so we're blended.
37:31 And I see some of the pain and things we've had
37:33 to work through because of that.
37:36 I take family serious,
37:38 and I want the next generation of young people watching,
37:42 including these two young, beautiful brothers,
37:45 helping me film, and they'll pick a woman soon.
37:49 I wanna model family and teach on family and model marriage
37:54 and help young people to know,
37:56 I don't care how you feel, God said,
38:01 one man is to marry his one wife.
38:06 They have children,
38:09 and that's what the Bible calls family.
38:14 Sometime you're a single mom, you do what you have to do.
38:17 Sometime you're a single dad, you do what you have to do.
38:20 Sometime divorce happens, you do what you have to do.
38:23 Sometime you gotta take on somebody else's babies
38:25 'cause life happened, you do what you have to do.
38:27 But whatever you're going through,
38:30 whatever you've been through,
38:32 the Bible says one man, his wife,
38:37 and their children is what family should look like.
38:41 I don't know how good I did.
38:43 I did my best.
38:44 I know I said a lot.
38:45 I know I'll get a lot of comments from a lot of people,
38:48 but I pray you can feel the love of God.
38:50 I want you to do this for me.
38:52 If you feel like this is substance, man,
38:54 if you feel like this is something that can help somebody,
38:56 so into our new Vernon Foundation,
39:00 RE Vernon Ministries, the Vernon Foundation.
39:03 Man, we are making a difference in the city of Cleveland,
39:06 not just spiritually, but existentially, show and feel.
39:09 It's crazy, man.
39:10 Carnival Rides, we just did this
39:12 in the projects of Cleveland.
39:14 Take a look.
39:15 This is the roughest neighborhood in Cleveland,
39:19 and we were able to take Carnival Rides
39:22 along with the word church and Ward 5,
39:25 my frat brother, Councilman Richard Starr,
39:28 to take Carnival Rides and food.
39:31 Take a look at this, school supplies, okay?
39:34 Clothes, you name it.
39:36 The Vernon Foundation provided it.
39:39 I need your help.
39:41 I'm trying to raise more 2023, 2024 than ever before
39:46 because while I was handing out school supplies,
39:50 my heart started beating.
39:51 I had just got back from Turks and Caicos, everybody,
39:55 and my heart was beating faster
39:57 because of giving out school supplies
40:00 and watching kids ride rides.
40:03 They land up on the beach in Turks and Caicos.
40:05 It really was.
40:06 It's my heart to help.
40:07 If you feel like tonight was substance,
40:09 if this was better than a movie,
40:11 if this might help your child, your girlfriend,
40:13 somebody you love, parents, your husband,
40:16 issues in marriage, gay stuff, trans stuff,
40:19 single sex stuff, Bible is the document we rely on.
40:24 I love you.
40:25 I wanna pray for you.
40:26 Father, in the name of Jesus,
40:27 thank you for Word City TV and media
40:32 and all these wonderful people who make us who we are.
40:36 But then, Father, I thank you for this Word tonight.
40:38 I pray that somebody watching would get delivered
40:42 from something they've been struggling with,
40:44 that they can feel the love of God in my teaching.
40:48 Lord, help them to know that what civil rights was
40:53 to Dr. King, family is to me.
40:56 What civil rights was to Dr. King, family is to me,
