00:00 Scott, congratulations, great win today. How would you sum up that performance?
00:04 Obviously pleased with the result, pleased with the performance, thought we were very good.
00:09 We were dominant with our possession and scored some great goals as well. So, yes, really pleased.
00:16 Is it as close to executing a plan as you've got so far this season do you think?
00:20 Yes, I suppose not far off. I think we made hard work of it in the first half.
00:27 We spoke at half-time and they blocked up quite well and nullified a lot of spaces.
00:35 We wanted to play quickly and efficiently round their block.
00:38 I think we could have done it better with a little bit different movement, which we spoke about.
00:42 I thought there were more spaces in the second half clearly and we were very good in front of goal today.
00:49 You said on Tuesday night you went mental at half-time, that made a difference.
00:53 What was said at half-time this week?
00:55 Just move the ball quicker and be patient in those moments.
00:59 There were times when they sat a lot of bodies behind the ball and we sometimes forced the issue when we didn't need to.
01:07 There were times when we could have played round them quickly and we were too slow with it.
01:11 So, it was just continue doing what we're doing.
01:14 If we have to go left to right, right to left three or four times before we play through, then so be it.
01:20 Just be patient and make sure you pick the right moment to play forward.
01:25 It was just a decision-making thing really.
01:28 From a defensive point of view, they changed a little bit in terms of their shape, what we thought they'd do.
01:34 So, we just had to re-address who was going to press who.
01:38 That was it really. Obviously, I made a change at half-time.
01:42 Just because we felt that they were keen to counter-attack us.
01:48 We felt that with Travis's pace, that will nullify that threat.
01:53 So, that's what we did.
01:55 Adam Campbell today had some great goals, but his second one in particular.
01:59 Can you just speak about Adam Campbell and what difference he's made to your side?
02:03 Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
02:05 He was fantastic today. He was very good in a lot of our play.
02:09 Two great goals. The first goal, obviously, Darcy runs down the right-hand side, has a shot himself.
02:17 Then you kind of think that the action's finished and then he pops out of nowhere with a great finish.
02:22 Unbelievable finish, by the way.
02:24 Then the second goal, he finds himself in a great position in-field.
02:27 Has a great touch and sets himself up, opens the goal right up.
02:31 An unbelievable finish for the second one.
02:33 So, yeah, he's been fantastic. Great signing, by the way.
02:35 The owners, I've got to give them credit on that one.
02:39 They kept banging the drum on Adam Campbell and really wanted him in.
02:44 As I did, but they kept on with that one.
02:48 It was kind of looking dead at one moment and they kept banging the drum and wanted it and wanted it.
02:52 In the end, we got him. So, we're really pleased to have him part of what we're doing.
02:55 He's come a long way down. He's moved his whole family down from up north.
02:58 So, there's a big commitment from him.
03:00 Listen, this is what I'm saying about Eben especially.
03:03 He worked really hard to make that happen in terms of living accommodation and bits and pieces.
03:09 So, I've got to give Eben credit on that one.
03:12 He really did work hard to get that one over the line.
03:14 We're really delighted to have him. He's a great lad as well.
03:18 He's a good person and a great trainer.
03:21 Works hard and he'll score goals for us for sure.
03:25 And a word about the fans. They were fantastic again today, weren't they?
03:28 They always are. I always like talking about them, but they always are.
03:32 They're fantastic. I could hear them when the lads run out for the game.
03:36 I went in my office quickly and got my bits and pieces to go out.
03:39 I could hear them as I'm walking down the tour. I could hear them singing my name and that.
03:43 It's fantastic. It's a great feeling.
03:46 Obviously, we're making sure that we're performing on the pitch for them, which is important that they do.
03:52 The players do put a shift in and play really well.
03:55 Hopefully, the fans will continue to support the way they are.
03:59 Thanks, Scott. Thank you.
04:01 Scott, obviously, the weather outside is very, very hot.
04:06 How impressed were you with the intensity and the adaptability of your players to really perform in the team?
04:11 One thing we said before the game was we knew that they would be a hard-working team because of watching them
04:18 and knowing their management staff like I do.
04:20 We knew that it would be hard-working.
04:22 One message I said to the players before they ran out was you need to run as hard as them, if not harder,
04:29 because I felt that our quality would win us the game.
04:33 We just have to make sure we match them for the work ethic and I think the lads did that today.
04:37 Back-to-back wins in all competitions as well. First league win since we beat MK Don's here.
04:43 Are these just some of the positives to take into next week going into the Tramlir, back-to-back home games as well?
04:48 Yes, for sure. I've said to the lads now we've had a really good week.
04:51 We had the Charlton game on Tuesday with the players who played in that game and you saw some of them come on at the back end of the game today.
04:58 I thought they performed well on Tuesday and they came on the pitch today and played well.
05:03 So I think it's been a real positive week.
05:05 We'll feed off that next week. Monday morning will be a really bright day for us.
05:10 We'll watch the game back, we'll watch the goals back and instil a belief in the team again.
05:17 It's one of the most rampant Crawley wins as well, not only this season but in your reign as Crawley manager.
05:23 How impressed are you with the progress of the squad? How well they've been doing this week?
05:29 I think that's 11 goals in three games, 11 goals in the space of a week. So how impressed are you with their progress?
05:34 Yes, very impressed. I think we'll always score goals with this group of players.
05:37 That's a given. I think that's clear to see. I think we'll always create goal scoring opportunities.
05:44 I just want to make sure that we nullify chances for the opposition at the other end.
05:49 I want to keep working hard on that and I want to make sure that we become a real tight outfit
05:55 where the opposition don't get any chances and we can play that way, that dominant football.
06:00 And of course keep scoring goals like we are. But yes, I'm really pleased with the way the group has come.
06:04 I think we forget sometimes that this is a new group. We've done great.
06:09 We've had a good start to the season but they're all young lads who have almost been thrown together.
06:15 This summer, I know there's players left over from last year.
06:18 But yes, we're really pleased and really proud of where we've got to now.
