00:00 My name is Todd Sargent and I'm not authorised to marry anyone.
00:06 That's why we have four ladies here who will make sure everything is taken care of.
00:11 Before we get started, Keely and Daniel, on behalf of everyone at Radio 2 at the RFM,
00:16 I would like to say thank you for allowing us to be a part of your amazing day.
00:20 In many, many years of standing before people with a microphone,
00:23 this is probably the most special thing that I've ever done.
00:26 So thank you.
00:28 I try not to tear up, but I can't guarantee anything right about now.
00:33 How did it come about? It's an interesting question.
00:36 I got a call, and it's not down to me, it's down to this lady, Pauline,
00:39 who gave me a call and said, "Todd, I've got an idea and I want to run it by you."
00:43 And we got together and worked out time and not with Todd,
00:47 and the rest, they say, is history.
00:49 So, Pauline, thank you very much.
00:52 Pauline said to me, "Have you got any questions?"
00:55 So I've got one question. What happens if we've got a bridezilla or a groomzilla?
01:01 Because it's 2023, and she said, "We'll handle it when it happens."
01:05 But after our first conversation with Keely and Daniel, I knew that wasn't a problem.
01:10 So that's lovely.
01:12 Pauline had one question. She said, "Todd, you've got to understand today, it's not about you."
01:16 (LAUGHTER)
01:18 And I'm like, "OK, can we workshop this, please?"
01:21 But I understood where she was coming from,
01:23 and I appreciate the 5am text this morning to remind me.
01:26 So thank you so much. I've got a bit of a belt about me.
01:28 I want to say thank you to Daniel.
01:30 I've got a lovely jar of marmalade, so I feel like a very special boy.
01:35 (LAUGHTER)
01:36 Are you ready to begin? Good.
01:39 Before we begin, I'd like to ask you to take a moment to bow your heads,
01:43 to remember and acknowledge those who have passed,
01:46 especially Daniel and Keely's grandparents.
01:49 Daniel and Keely are carrying photos of their much-loved Omar and Patricia
01:53 and then Bonnie with them today on their tie for their vacay.
01:57 They may not be here physically, but will be forever in our hearts and our memories.
02:03 I'm sure they're looking down today and are very, very proud.
02:12 Oh, God, now I'm starting to tear up. This is terrible.
02:14 And you're tearing up as well. You're saving me up.
02:17 Daniel and Keely welcome you today.
02:20 They welcome everyone to witness their celebration of marriage
02:23 and commitment they will make to each other, joining together as one.
02:27 It's a very joyous occasion for Daniel and Keely.
02:30 We are blessed to share in their happiness today.
02:32 Nathan, you had the proud honour of being Keely's side as she walked down the aisle.
02:37 And to stand alongside Daniel to make their wedding vows to each other,
02:42 do you give Keely's hand in marriage to Daniel?
02:46 I do.
02:48 We weren't sure yesterday whether they were the answers he was going to give today,
02:57 but I'm very glad he did.
03:01 Daniel and Keely, you stand together now to commit your love and your life to each other.
03:09 You've chose to have here today those who mean so much to you,
03:12 your family and friends, so they may share in your happiness.
03:16 Marriage is something beyond the warmth and glow of being in love,
03:19 something beyond the excitement and romance.
03:23 It is caring as much about the welfare and happiness of your marriage partner as about your own.
03:30 I knew he would hop the line once, and I didn't understand that for three years.
03:41 (LAUGHTER)
03:43 It's looking outward in the same direction,
03:48 together sharing the joys and pleasures of daily life.
03:51 It's a precious thing, and good marriage is founded on respect, friendship and companionship, as well as love.
03:57 A strong marriage needs healthy communication and acceptance of each other.
04:02 It means working together, having goals and dreams,
04:06 and staying with happiness and peace.
04:10 It is respecting each other's individuality and knowing that each partner is there for the other,
04:16 especially in times of need.
04:18 There is nothing in life that love cannot change.
04:21 Love is, of its nature, unselfish, understanding and kind.
04:26 True love, too, is a commitment of heart and mind.
04:30 There can be no stronger bonds to ensure a happy married life.
04:34 Daniel and Keely have found qualities in each other's lives that they admire,
04:38 qualities so rich that they want to spend the rest of their lives together.
04:43 I know you believe that being married is a proud confirmation of the love, friendship, trust and respect you have for each other,
04:51 and it is the union of not only two people, but of families.
04:56 Daniel and Keely, may you continue to be able to talk things over,
05:01 to be kind to each other, to be kind to each other, to be kind to each other,
05:05 to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together,
05:08 and may you together relax in moments of peace and harmony when the day is done.
05:13 May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness.
05:19 Daniel and Keely, before you are joined in marriage in my presence,
05:23 and the presence of these witnesses,
05:26 I want to remind you of the solemn and binding nature of the relationship into which you are now about to enter.
05:30 The law of Australia is the union of two people to the exclusion of all others.
05:35 Voluntarily entering into a life.
05:39 Daniel and Keely, please turn towards each other and hold hands.
05:48 To reach out to someone, be acknowledged and loved, is a human need.
05:53 Taking the hand of one who loves you is a powerful symbol of that unspoken bond.
05:59 Please take a look at your partner's hands so that you may see the gift that they are to you.
06:05 These are the hands of your best friend that you're holding, yours on your wedding day.
06:10 These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future.
06:16 These are the hands that when wrinkled and aged will be reaching out for yours.
06:22 May these hands be healer, protector, shelter and guide for you as you declare your love for each other today.
06:32 Daniel, do you take Keely to be your lawfully wedded wife?
06:58 Keely, do you take Daniel to be your lawfully wedded husband?
07:07 Daniel, please repeat these words.
07:12 I call upon the persons here present to witness that I, Daniel Kirkpoe, take you, Keely Rose Toney, to be my lawfully wedded wife.
07:32 Keely Rose Toney, I love you with all my heart.
07:53 I promise I will never give you up, never let you down, never run around, never hurt you.
08:02 I pinky promise to always keep you my own, whether that is my best or worst days, when I get filled, paid or I'm broke.
08:12 Everything I do is for you.
08:17 I promise I can't wait to fight all this alongside you and start a life together from now until forever.
08:25 You are and always will be the light of my life.
08:29 And I know no matter our circumstances, I will always want it for that second hug, whether or not you were a human being.
08:39 Keely, please repeat these words.
08:50 I call upon the persons here present to witness that I, Keely Rose Toney, take you, Daniel Kirkpoe, to be my lawfully wedded husband.
09:12 Daniel, as I stand here before you, I am overwhelmed by the love and joy that fills my heart.
09:18 Thank you for showing me what unconditional love feels like and accepting me for who I am.
09:23 From the moment I met you, I knew you were someone I could depend on, who makes me laugh, and who I have often described as husband material.
09:32 I take you to be my best friend and partner, with a foundation built on trust, respect and open communication.
09:40 I promise to treat you with kindness and love, challenge you to be your best self, and offer my unwavering support across our adventure through life together.
09:48 After all, to quote the Princess Bride, this is true love. You think this happens every day?
10:00 Husband material, eh?
10:04 Do we point to a vote in the audience here?
10:07 Daniel and Keely, you have for each other a ring.
10:11 This most precious of metals symbolises that love is the most precious element in your life together.
10:17 The ring has no beginning and no end, which symbolises that the love between you will never cease.
10:23 Laura has been given the special honour of caring for the rings. Could you please come join us?
10:42 Daniel, will you please repeat these words?
10:45 Keely, I will always be there for you.
10:48 Keely, I will always be there for you.
10:51 With you and beside you.
10:55 Let this ring be a symbol of our love.
11:00 May it represent our today, our tomorrows and our future.
11:07 As I have given you my hands to hold.
11:12 So I give you my life to keep.
11:28 Keely, will you please repeat these words?
11:32 Daniel, I will always be there for you.
11:36 With you and beside you.
11:39 Let this ring be a symbol of our love.
11:43 May it represent our today, our tomorrows and our future.
11:49 As I have given you my hands to hold.
11:53 So I give you my life to keep.
12:07 That ain't coming off.
12:11 Daniel and Keely, you have declared before myself and your witnesses that you will live together in marriage.
12:18 You have made special promises to each other and you have symbolised these promises by the joining of hands and giving and receiving of the wedding rings.
12:27 Now you have two choices.
12:29 If you want to make it official, I can't read the next words.
12:33 If you want to make it official, Pauline can.
12:43 By the authority given to me by the Commonwealth of Australia,
12:49 we have the pleasure in declaring that you are now husband and wife.
13:07 Daniel, you may now kiss the bride.
