YouTube's #ProudToBe Campaign Draws Out Homophobes

YouTube is celebrating LGBT creators this week, and they're unfortunately being met with verbal abuse.

00:04 So YouTube launched a campaign yesterday to spotlight some of its LGBT creators.

00:09 It's called #ProudToBe and features the likes of people like myself, fellow What's

00:13 Trending host Ava Gordy, and a slew of other amazing people like Gigi Gorgeous and Kat

00:17 Black, Ingrid Nilsson, Tyler Oakley, Troye Sivan, and LO Steph.

00:21 The goal was to commemorate Pride Month and also pay tribute to the victims of the horrible

00:25 shooting at Pulse in Orlando.

00:27 But unfortunately, the main thing they're spotlighting is some of the worst trolls that

00:31 humanity has to offer.

00:36 Because homophobes can't just click away from something that they don't like, they

00:39 have to put their idiocy on display for the world to see.

01:46 So far, YouTube has yet to make an actual statement about all the negative comments
