00:00 The 31st annual World Toe Wrestling Championship took place over the
00:04 weekend in the small English town of Fenny Bentley. Welcome back to What's
00:07 Trending, I'm Martini Beerman. Be sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE for more stories. The
00:11 competition was first started in 1974 because of the UK's struggle to produce
00:16 world champions. But then in the second annual event, a Canadian visitor
00:19 competed and won and they were like "well now it's got to be cancelled." But after
00:24 10 long years, it was brought back and now it is a staple of Fenny Bentley. If
00:28 you are out there and you would like to toe wrestle, here are the rules. Number
00:33 one, start by removing your shoes and socks because this is a barefoot
00:36 activity and just so you guys know, it is common courtesy for competitors to
00:40 remove each other's shoes and socks. If you start out with really stinky feet to
00:44 begin with, there may be no need for a competition. This is the stage where most
00:48 competitors drop out or pass out. Number two, link your toes and connect the
00:52 bottoms of your feet together. Number three, trap the other person's foot for
00:56 three seconds. Number four, best two out of three rounds takes it. And number five,
01:01 win toe wrestling and have glory for life which you can share with all of
01:05 your friends and family. The men's competition was unsurprisingly won by
01:09 somebody named Nasty Nash. This was his 14th win. He described the win saying, "That
01:15 was just a walk in the park again. Normal day at the office." And Rebecca Beach won
01:20 the women's competition, but the previous winner was her own mother. How sweet. Like
01:24 mother, like daughter. Oh and just so you guys know, everybody's feet are examined
01:28 by a podiatrist before being allowed to compete, which is good because you don't
01:31 want any funky toes up in your business. And this is Allison Barley who had the
01:35 privilege of doing that. Kudos, Allison. Would you compete in toe wrestling? Should
01:39 it be an Olympic sport? Let us know in the comments and subscribe for more.
