Finn returns to Hollyoaks in April 2013 when his father Rob arrived to tell Diane that Finn has gone missing later on Sinead along with Callum Kane and Robbie Roscoe attempt to go to a party however they accidentally run over Finn and not knowing its Finn, Sinead agrees to leave him lying on the road later on Finn is taken to the hospital and is approached by Robbie whom threatens Finn to keep quiet about the hit and run. Sinead apologises to Finn and he forgives her. Finn later starts to hang around with Robbie and the two start to commit petty crimes and even go as far as to break into Finns previous home and trash it as it was sold by Rob and in an attempt to get no one to buy it. Finn also makes it hard for Diane's now new boyfriend, Tony Hutchinson who attempts to grow close with Finn however Finn at first is not interested and later Finn along with Callum and Robbie plan to rob Price Slice however it ends with Callum being accidentally shot by Robbie but manages to survive.
By late 2013, Finn is seen being coasted by Robbie into bullying their school teacher John Paul McQueen. Tony later discovers this and makes Finn apologise to John Paul but this leads Finn to attack Nana McQueen which scares and Hospitalizes her and Finn is later seen with a mark on his hand by John Paul whom connected the dots to Nana's attack he tells Finn that his going the Police this leads Robbie to tell Finn to make sure John Paul does not say a word to anyone about the attack and they plan to burgle the school but Finn is interrupted by John Paul in doing so and the two get into a heated row which leads Finn to hit John Paul over the head as he was leaving to call the Police. After doing so Finn shockingly rapes a disorientated John Paul.
After raping John Paul, Finn gets rid of both the ornament he wacked John Paul with and the cloths he has been wearing knowing how scared John Paul is and how powerful he felt, Finn begins to continue to terrorise John Paul to the point where Finn has an accident on some quad bikes during a school trip and John Paul leaves him to die however this is seen by Robbie who calls out John Paul which leads John Paul to attack Robbie and get sent to prison. Finn is approached by Robbie afterwards about why John Paul would be willing to let him die and when Robbie makes a passing comment that it's not like Finn raped him Finns faces changes this leads Robbie to discover the truth disgusted by this Finn is then put in a position to go against Robbie after he finds out the truth and later switches his statement which still gets John Paul sent down.
