00:00 With September comes back to school, back to college or for some the trials of exploring the new grounds of university life.
00:07 And as a result comes Freshers' Week.
00:09 But as you settle in, finding new friends and social settings, what can you expect from the heralded Freshers' Week?
00:15 Also known as Welcome Week, this is the first week of the university year and its purpose is for the students to socialise.
00:21 It's time to get to know your housemates and the people you'll be spending time with.
00:25 It's also the time to familiarise yourself with the new environment, sign up to doctor's surgeries and apply to new jobs whilst getting your new living space ready.
00:34 Expect to get involved with lots of activities such as library tours and welcome tours and check out your uni's Freshers' Fair to find out about on-campus opportunities.
00:43 We recommend getting added to a university WhatsApp group chat to start familiarising yourself with new faces.
00:49 Make sure to check your university website for more details on what's on or head to yourfreshersguide.com to find out how you can get involved in all the fun events planned.
