00:00 My name is Tim James, I'm the Acting Inspector here for the Port Stephens Hunter Command.
00:07 At 8 o'clock this morning we recommenced the command post and the search for Raymond Peterson,
00:13 85 years old, in the Taro Barrowsfield area.
00:18 We've searched a number of locations, unfortunately at this stage we still haven't found him.
00:23 We've got a Westpac rescue helicopter here assisting in our search.
00:28 We've got quite a number of SES personnel, a new batch of SES have just arrived.
00:35 It's landing us to believe that he's still in the local area and that he hasn't gone
00:38 too far, it's just a matter of trying to find exactly where he is.
00:41 And for Mr Peterson's family this is obviously a very confronting, hard time, it's become
00:45 quite a large operation.
00:48 Surprisingly they are holding up extremely well.
00:52 They are very active in the search with us and coordinating with us and helping us wherever
00:58 we need to and they are in constant contact with us while we continue on this search.
01:03 And you were just talking about what the plans going forward are, could you tell me what
01:06 that might look like if Mr Peterson isn't found this morning?
01:10 Yeah, we'll continue at this stage until he's found.
01:13 That is our end goal, is to reunite him with his family.
01:16 Thank you.
