00:28 Now grand final winning hero, two time grand final winning hero, Wayne Bremner.
00:32 Brem, we spoke in the lead up to this about, you know, you knew this was going to be your last, your last role,
00:37 it was going to be the last thing you did. You hurt your knee in that prelim, you looked pretty distraught,
00:41 I thought you won't be back. Describe all that to me now and how it feels right about now.
00:46 Um, yeah, that moment I hurt the knee and I just said to myself, I just run it out.
00:52 And I think once it hit me that it was a pretty bad injury, it sort of got pretty emotional thing and that was how I was going to go out.
01:01 And I did a lot of work with a lot of people helping me to get to where I am right now.
01:06 Mick Baines did a heap for me, Pete McIntyre and Couchy and just heaps of people got together
01:12 and we come up with a good game plan and it got me through the game and to get this moment with this unreal club,
01:18 with an unreal coach who deserves it so much, which is Jaco and to do it with Boyle, my best mate,
01:24 who I started with at such a young age, it's just a real feeling. In front of the kids and to see him here,
01:30 I just, I can't describe it, it's so pumped right now.
01:33 You've obviously had this feeling before, you broke through after a bit of heartbreak with the Berg all those years ago,
01:38 almost 10 years ago now, but describe how this one feels. You guys, there was a time there we thought you might not make the finals,
01:44 it looked like you were going to be battling just to take part in these finals. Now you've gone on this run through,
01:49 did you always have the belief that this is where this team was headed?
01:52 Yeah, to be fair, going through the season, I knew we had the team but there was times I thought we just weren't going to get it together,
01:59 it just wasn't clicking, we didn't have the right team on the park all together.
02:03 But once we got that team together and we got into the semis, we just started rolling and if we just put 80 minutes together,
02:10 I knew there was no one that could go with us. Even that second half, we were all over them and every opportunity they had,
02:16 we gave to them. That team is just so good, the young forwards in that team are just something special, man.
02:22 They don't take any revenue up, you don't need to get them going, they just do it themselves.
02:26 This club's got a massive future with a lot of these young blokes, even like Taj Whitford's going to be here for a long time
02:32 and I reckon he's going to give them a lot of premierships.
02:35 Is this definitely the last one for Wayne Bremner?
02:37 Mate, if you've obviously watched me out there today, my body was telling me, if you're not sure, this is definitely letting you know,
02:44 not again, mate. I just got through that one. So yeah, this is it, this is the end.
02:49 Congratulations Wayne Bremner, congrats on today, congrats on a marvellous career in this competition.
02:54 Go enjoy it with Sam and the family, mate, you've deserved it.
02:56 Thanks, man, appreciate it, mate.
02:57 night.
