00:00 You have worked with many stunt masters.
00:02 You must have done stunts yourself.
00:03 You must have done it somewhere.
00:04 Yes.
00:05 You have slapped in many places.
00:06 You have been slapped in many places.
00:08 Yes.
00:08 So, you tell me,
00:09 how important is action for a villain or a hero in a film?
00:15 Hindi is important.
00:15 Like I was telling you earlier,
00:20 that my opinion is that
00:23 whoever comes to Bhoom Kumar,
00:24 he should take classes in dancing
00:26 before he becomes an actor.
00:29 Similarly, the more important the dance is in a film,
00:32 the more important the action is in today's date.
00:35 You see, there is a film called Phool aur Kaante.
00:39 Okay.
00:39 There is a normal looking Ajay Devgn hero in it.
00:43 But his action was so good,
00:46 and he did it himself,
00:47 that when he is giving shots in the theatre,
00:51 people stand up and give claps.
00:53 And that film is a very big success.
00:55 Only because that boy did all the action,
00:58 that boy did all the action himself,
01:01 and he was 12 before he became an actor.
01:03 He was trained,
01:04 even though his father, Mr. Veeru Devgn is a fight composer.
01:08 But the way he has been trained,
01:11 if all the new actors who come in the film industry,
01:16 if they also take training,
01:17 I think it's a very big success for them.
01:19 They will make,
01:20 sure shot, make it as a big star.
01:22 Action is very important.
01:24 Yes, it is that
01:27 sometimes it gets in the action,
01:28 and it hurts.
01:29 Like in the beginning, when we came,
01:31 I was doing a film, Kismat,
01:33 in that I had a small fight scene with Mr. Gautam Sareen.
01:36 And by mistake, I had worn his glasses.
01:40 A bro, who,
01:42 he didn't want to hit me in that shot, but
01:45 because of the scene, he went back there,
01:47 and he hit me.
01:48 And I didn't know that bro was going to come.
01:51 When I felt,
01:52 that glass broke and went into my eye.
01:54 And I,
01:55 pay attention, there were 18 stitches here.
01:57 After that, I was doing a film,
02:00 I had to jump from above,
02:01 I jumped from a great height.
02:03 The one who had jumped before me,
02:06 he was below,
02:07 so I hit him.
02:09 And I had to have 4 stitches here.
02:10 Anyway, it doesn't happen often, it doesn't happen every time.
02:14 But then it's part of the game, you know.
02:16 If you,
02:17 want to stay in this profession and work,
02:19 small injuries keep happening.
02:21 And they get more injuries,
02:23 those who don't have training, they're not trained.
02:26 If they're trained,
02:27 it means,
02:27 the chances of getting hurt are very less, because they know the timing.
02:30 Just like life itself is a time,
02:33 fighting is also a time.
02:34 Song is also a time,
02:36 everything is timing.
02:37 If your timing is bad in life,
02:38 you're ruined.
02:39 If your timing is good, you're saved.
02:41 Wow, what a thing to say.
02:42 Ashish Shetty, tell us, when a hero or a villain,
02:45 gets hurt like this,
02:46 the stuntmen who duplicate you,
02:49 those who do such dangerous work,
02:52 what do you think about them?
02:53 Yes, the duplicates,
02:56 I see their condition,
03:00 they give such high shots, such risky shots,
03:04 shots of a horse falling,
03:07 shots of a car on fire,
03:08 shots of a car jumping,
03:09 shots of a motorcycle jumping.
03:11 When I see them,
03:13 I go home at night and sit in the temple and say,
03:15 "Oh God, thank God, you didn't make me a duplicate,
03:17 you didn't make me a fighter."
03:18 Because their life,
03:20 okay, in today's date,
03:21 people are careful,
03:23 they take less risks,
03:24 and their training is complete,
03:26 but still,
03:27 there is a risk.
03:28 And,
03:29 I salute to these fighters and duplicates,
03:32 who take such risks and work.
03:34 Although, abroad, in Hollywood,
03:36 these fighters are insured to
03:38 a tune of lot of lakhs of rupees.
03:40 And,
03:41 even if a small injury is inflicted,
03:43 the insurance company takes care of them.
03:45 I think, it's going to happen in our industry too.
03:47 And it's very important for them,
03:49 that all the fighters are 100% insured,
03:52 so that if they are injured,
03:53 they can't come to work for months.
03:56 They are injured,
03:58 they are in the hospital,
03:58 they are at home,
03:59 without work.
04:00 So, I request,
04:02 and our industry people are understanding this,
04:05 that,
04:06 duplicates are very risky,
04:08 so their training should be good,
04:09 and if there is any accident,
04:11 they should be taken care of.
04:13 But again,
04:14 hats off to the duplicates and the fighters.
04:16 Okay, Shakti,
04:17 as you praised Ajay,
04:19 that Ajay did it himself,
04:20 would you say that every hero or villain
04:22 should do his own stunt?
04:24 Look,
04:25 I'm not talking about doing the stunt yourself,
04:27 but,
04:27 the stunt,
04:28 that the camera needs,
04:30 that the director needs,
04:31 not that,
04:32 the shot where you are not even visible,
04:34 you have to break your own glass,
04:36 you'll say,
04:37 "No sir, I have to break my own glass and give the shot."
04:38 And when you see it on screen,
04:40 you don't know that you are a duplicate.
04:42 I mean, you don't have to take such risky shots,
04:44 after all, you are a very professional actor,
04:46 if you get hurt,
04:47 it can cost you millions of rupees,
04:49 because you are not going for the shoot,
04:51 and how many sets can you stand?
04:53 And it's very important to know the basics.
04:56 The basics mean that
04:57 he should understand
04:58 what should be the reaction of this punch,
05:00 whether I have to hit a somersault or not,
05:04 and how to fall,
05:05 how to get up.
05:06 The basics,
05:07 ethically,
05:08 I think,
05:09 every actor should know that.
05:11 It doesn't mean that I'll say from the 15th floor building,
05:14 that I'll jump.
05:15 It's not like that.
05:16 But still,
05:17 you should know the basics of the fight.
05:19 It's very important.
05:20 You are saying that
05:21 for the duplicates,
05:22 for the stunt masters,
05:23 precautions are being taken,
05:24 some policies are being made,
05:25 but the ones who were in danger,
05:27 they died.
05:28 Yes.
05:29 What do you have to say for them?
05:32 Look,
05:33 such accidents have happened.
05:34 We had a very dear Mr. Haji,
05:39 he was giving a shot,
05:41 he was tied in the jeep,
05:42 and the jeep has to go in the water.
05:45 The jeep has to go in the water.
05:46 He gave that shot,
05:47 he was tied up,
05:48 he had to go inside and open the belt,
05:50 but he couldn't open the belt.
05:52 The jeep went in the water,
05:54 and he kept fighting with the belt inside,
05:57 finally,
05:58 the jeep's head went in.
06:00 Such accidents keep happening,
06:01 which is very sad.
06:03 I think,
06:04 for this,
06:05 our film industry,
06:06 we should look after the entire family.
06:09 The accident happened,
06:11 it doesn't mean that we should forget them.
06:14 Our film industry is doing a lot.
06:16 To a great extent,
06:17 we looked after the entire family.
06:18 Our film associations,
06:20 they,
06:21 but I think we should do more,
06:24 so that their family,
06:25 because this man gave his life for the film industry,
06:28 we should look after their entire family.
06:31 And,
06:33 I request everyone,
06:35 if such an accident happens,
06:36 we must come ahead and help everyone.
06:37 Especially these people,
06:39 their families.
06:40 Mr. Yashak,
06:41 you are saying that their stunt masters,
06:43 duplicators,
06:44 they should do something.
06:45 You often go abroad for shows,
06:47 and you are doing an international show for them.
06:49 My life is there for them.
06:51 A few people came to me,
06:53 I said,
06:55 wherever your show is,
06:56 me, Sanjay Dutt,
06:57 Mithun Chakraborty,
06:58 they will call us at midnight,
07:00 to see if they have any benefit.
07:02 I am the first one to go and help these people.
07:05 I mean,
07:06 we will do shows,
07:07 not one, not ten,
07:08 we will do as many as we can,
07:09 but the money should go to them.
07:11 It shouldn't go in the wrong hands.
07:12 We only want the money to go to the Fighters Association,
07:17 so that their children,
07:18 their educated family,
07:20 they should be brought up in a very good manner,
07:22 after these people are not there.
07:24 Whenever you call,
07:26 my life, my body, my soul,
07:27 is there for them.
07:28 I love them all.
07:29 Thank you.
07:30 Wonderful.
