00:00 Welcome to the 40th Chatsworth Country Fair.

00:04 Wonderful to be back, so wonderful.

00:07 It marks, I was going to say the end of summer, but you don't want me to say that, do you Lily?

00:12 It marks a very special time in the countryside calendar, when we all gather together,

00:18 to appreciate where we live, the islands we live in, and here, the Derbyshire Bay,

00:24 it's the county that most of you live in.

00:26 It's a glorious place to be, I've thoroughly enjoyed coming to the country fair for almost 20 years now,

00:33 every year without fair, except when we could come, non-personal.

00:37 So it's lovely to be here, and I know you've been going for quite a while,

00:41 but it's my delight and pleasure to thank you for having me,

00:45 to say please go and enjoy yourselves, and to declare the 2023 Chatsworth Country Fair open!

00:56 Hi, I'm Sarah Green, I'm the Country Fair Organiser,

01:00 and we are looking forward to a fabulous weekend of weather.

01:04 We hope you come along and enjoy all the things that we've built.

01:07 We've come along and turned the park into a little village for three days.

01:12 We've got a full grand ring each day, with our highlights this year are

01:18 the BB Dancing Diggers, the King's Troop military drive,

01:23 four-gun military drive, so it's a proper spectacle,

01:26 and they leave this grand ring at a full gallop, which we carefully manned,

01:31 but it is an incredible sight to see.

01:34 And then hundreds of things to look at and learn and enjoy around the showground,

01:40 lots of shopping, lots of food.

01:43 So come along, the sun will shine, Saturday and Sunday we're told,

01:47 and we look forward to welcoming you.
