00:00 >> On to a 53 after a year in a practice squad, what's this journey been like for
00:03 you and what does it mean?
00:05 >> It means a lot, it means a lot.
00:06 There's been a lot of good people along the way.
00:08 As far as the journey, it's just another step in what I really had planned for
00:13 myself.
00:14 And I had really high ambitions when I first started playing college football.
00:17 So like I said, it's just another step on the journey.
00:20 And the work's really just beginning now.
00:22 >> Where's the journey heading?
00:24 >> Who knows?
00:25 In my mind, it's hard to say.
00:28 >> What do you got planned?
00:29 >> It's hard to say, I got two degrees.
00:30 So I plan on working the rest of my life, but that's just a given.
00:33 I don't plan on just sitting on my butt.
00:34 But hopefully it ends with me being financially stable and
00:39 my family being financially stable.
00:41 I should be happy and healthy.
00:43 >> Was it a tough day for you yesterday, stressful day yesterday?
00:45 How'd you manage that?
00:47 >> Very stressful, FIFA.
00:48 So I played for probably five hours, that's all I did.
00:52 I played FIFA, hung out with my dog, and kept it cool.
00:55 >> How'd you finally find out?
00:57 >> Well, four o'clock hit and I ain't got a phone call.
00:59 >> [LAUGH] >> And then they posted the roster.
01:01 So it was nice.
01:02 >> Did you feel confident going?
01:03 I mean, it's not like you're confident, but I mean, did you have a good,
01:06 especially later in camp, you're getting more reps going second,
01:08 that type of thing.
01:08 Did you feel better about your chances?
01:12 >> I can't look at you in a straight face and say that.
01:14 But I mean, looking back, maybe, yeah, but
01:17 during the day, it was still pretty stressful.
01:19 >> You talked about being confident, but in May, you get released by a team.
01:22 Is that hard?
01:23 I mean, did it take you a while to put that behind you?
01:25 >> It did, because I mean, in the off season, I maybe took a week off.
01:29 And then I was right back to it.
01:30 I went out to Minnesota, started training again.
01:32 So just the amount of time that I put in for
01:35 them to just release me after three days of football, it's a tough shake.
01:39 But all you can do is keep it pushing and control what you can and
01:43 keep it pushing forward.
01:44 >> You had always wanted to be a quarterback and you're going way back now.
01:47 But is it hard for you to move away from quarterback at a time?
01:50 >> Not really.
01:51 I got two other brothers and I was the only one who wanted to be quarterback.
01:54 And we all ended up playing quarterback.
01:56 I was the only one who wanted to be.
01:57 And of course, I was always the bigger one too.
01:59 So it's kind of funny how that worked out.
