soon offer job listings and more.
CEO Elon Musk took to the platform
on Aug. 27 with the announcement. .
X has started to compile jobs and education data about users for "safety, security and identification purposes," 'Bloomberg' reports. .
Biometric information is also being collected.
Engadget reports that this data is likely being collected to aid in creating X's job listings feature, among other things. .
Currently, some verified organizations,
such as Workweek, can post job listings
as scrolling cards in their bios. .
According to Workweek CEO Adam Ryan, the feature was included in the "verified for organizations" package that costs $1,000 a month. .
Musk teased the new feature in May as X acquired Laski, a tech startup that works in job matching.
It was X's "first acquisition under Musk," Engadget reports.
