More than 70 dead after fire engulfs building in South Africa

The death toll from a blaze that started overnight in a central Johannesburg building has climbed to more than 70, including children. It was not immediately clear what caused the blaze. House fires are fairly common in the country, plagued by chronic power outages, where many live in poverty.
