Deputy Mistakes Everything For Chevy Truck - July 21, 2023

On the night of July 21st, 2023, Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were advised of a possible drunk driver in a silver Chevy Silverado 2500 with cab lights, going southbound. One deputy went after a northbound white Chevy with cab lights, but that clearly wasn't the correct vehicle.
Another deputy stopped a gray GMC Sierra 2500 without cab lights, but that wasn't the correct vehicle. The same deputy then stopped a black female in a dark blue Ford Focus (a car), which obviously wasn't the correct vehicle either. Same deputy then stopped a black Ford Explorer Sport-Trac (Explorer with a truck bed) with a handicap plate, that obviously wasn't the correct vehicle either. Then the deputy stopped an older man in a gray Chevy Colorado (a small pickup), which obviously wasn't the correct vehicle either.
The actual suspect vehicle was never located.
