00:02 Corey Davis retires yesterday from the NFL.
00:07 Here's the part of this that I thought kind of,
00:10 at least it resonated with me as he steps away at the age of 28.
00:14 He went fifth overall in his draft, Corey Davis.
00:19 This is a top five pick early still into his career,
00:22 relatively speaking, stepping away from the game.
00:25 >> Yeah, it is interesting.
00:27 And again, I saw one of the tweets that said he made $52.5 million.
00:31 So we're not feeling bad for him stepping away.
00:33 But again, if you're taking a look and the love of the game is gone,
00:36 you're banged up a little bit here, you're not enjoying it so much.
00:39 It's nice to fall back on that cushion and get away.
00:40 And I remember my days of betting Mac football here.
00:43 He was one of my favorite players in the Mac of all time,
00:46 because of how dominant he was.
00:48 I was really interested to see how that would turn out in the NFL.
00:50 And it wasn't bad.
00:52 He wasn't a bus, Kevin.
00:53 He never got to 1,000 yards, but did get close in 2018 and also 2020.
00:57 He was a serviceable wide receiver.
00:59 And it did come as a little bit of news here,
01:00 because if there's any team that you would probably want to get after,
01:03 it would be the New York Jets.
01:04 You're going, hey, I might be able to resurrect something here with my new
01:08 quarterback in town.
01:08 But kudos to him, made a lot of money and walked away when he wanted to.
