Cyclist taken to hospital after being hit by fire engine on 999 call in Brixton

A cyclist has been hit by a fire engine responding to an emergency call in south London.Police and emergency workers cordoned off the junction between Coldharbour Lane and Atlantic Road in Brixton after the incident just before noon on Wednesday.Paramedics treated the man, thought to be in his 50s, who was seen lying on the road before being lifted him into an ambulance.
