00:00 A very warm good evening to all of you and it's heartening to be back at Nadia once again.
00:08 A very warm welcome to Agatha Ma'am, the MP of Chura, Cyril Sir, Director Tourism and
00:16 Rehbor Sir.
00:17 It's lovely to have you here and thank you so much for giving Outlook this opportunity
00:22 to present this Future Forum workshop that we've been doing since almost seven, eight
00:28 years now.
00:29 We've done it in Shillong but I think it's very special to be here at Chura today to
00:33 see all of you.
00:34 I hope you have learnt something or the other from here.
00:38 So I'm not going to talk too much about all of this because I know you've got enough gyan
00:43 for the day.
00:44 I'm just going to talk about my experience.
00:46 I've come here twice within this month and I'm going to talk about my experience at Chura
00:51 and what a traveler feels when they come here.
00:54 I want you to hear this video, see this video and tell me how it is.

02:11 A round of applause for our team.
02:13 This is Mokhba and Bulbuli playing the chidre at Gondekar village.
02:20 I think it was the most overwhelming experience when I went there to Gondekar.
02:25 I will show you a few pictures.
02:28 Of course I'm sure you've seen it.
02:30 But what struck me there was the fact that how there is a strong belief of preservation,
02:37 of conservation of their native, of their culture, their heritage.
02:43 That is what struck me the most because we don't get that in Delhi.
02:46 We don't have that purpose that we have to conserve our heritage from people.
02:53 So it was most heartening to see everybody there.
02:58 And whether youth also support the adults, that was also great.
03:02 In the metro it's all about me, myself.
03:05 We don't think about these things.
03:07 So I think you should preserve that.
03:09 I think you should be very, very proud of that.
03:12 I want you to...
03:15 Okay, go further.
03:17 So he made me also have the beechi in the bomb, which was a great experience.
03:23 Go further.
03:25 I wanted to hear this sound.
03:29 [Sounds of a beech tree]
03:39 This sound at Mokkrit Forest just overwhelmed me.
03:44 I lost my voice there.
03:46 It was the only sound of this whole ecosystem that there is at the forest.
03:51 It's all the living creatures, whether it's the wild mushrooms, the spiders, the birds, the animals.
03:57 I did not want to say a word.
03:59 I lost myself there at Mokkrit.
04:01 That's what a traveler wants to feel when they come to such a place.
04:06 I want to show you some pictures which we had seen.
04:10 [Sounds of a beech tree]
04:15 It was like a magical world.
04:17 It was totally like a magical world out of maybe Harry Potter or something.
04:21 You know, that I felt there.
04:24 Now, that's the immersive travel that a traveler, a tourist is looking at.
04:30 And that's exactly what Outlook Travel does.
04:32 We've been here since 19 years.
04:35 We're the only travel magazine in India which actually covers Indian content.
04:42 That's our DNA.
04:44 We don't talk about Tej, Bidesh and all the other things.
04:47 We talk about our country, the diverse landscapes and the terrain that India has to offer.
04:53 Your culture, your food, your way of life is what we cover and we ask tourists to come and travel here.
05:01 We've been doing Outlook Responsible Tourism Summit and Awards all across the country.
05:07 From Hampi to Konar.
05:09 We've done future forums in Shillong, in Jaipur, at Arunachal, in Damasai and Dhirang.
05:17 And the most natural progression, of course, was the fact that we went further ahead in two states.
05:25 To deep dive in two states.
05:27 To actually identify grassroot level workers.
05:33 Because we are a platform.
05:35 We are the most unique platform where all the experts, the practitioners, the homestay owners, the hotel owners, the guides, the travel operators
05:46 come together to collectivise and collaborate.
05:49 To exchange information, unique information, their own culture.
05:54 That's what we do for them.
05:56 And for you.
05:57 That's what we exactly want to do.
05:59 It gives me... I'm super proud to announce that today on World Tourism Day, we have taken one step further
06:07 and we have announced the Rajasthan State Awards.
06:11 Which we are going to do for Responsible Tourism.
06:16 So this is further, deeper, wider for Rajasthan.
06:22 And Siraj sir, please note, you're going to be next.
06:26 We definitely want to do this with Meghalaya.
06:28 Where we identify all of you grassroot practitioners.
06:34 Where we ask for applications.
06:36 Because I know there are so many homestay owners who are not ready here to apply.
06:40 So we want to take this forward.
06:42 We want to make this a movement because this is not going to stop.
06:45 Thank you. With love.
