Another turn in the saga with the Italian.

00:00 And Willy Nante, you mentioned him there, handed in his transfer request.
00:03 I mean, what's your take on this?
00:06 Do you keep a sort of bad egg in the batch because it sort of can really disrupt the morale around the camp?
00:13 Or do you just sort of move on?
00:16 Well, it's interesting to see how this will unfold, really.
00:18 But my personal view is that there's not really much point having people at the club who don't want to play.
00:22 I mean, you know, whether that's Willy or Confrino as agent or whatever, or the team will look after him.
00:26 I mean, the bottom line is that he's refused to play for the club, hasn't he?
00:30 That's it, simple as that.
00:32 And that's the core facts, is that basically he was told that he wasn't going to be sold this summer.
00:37 And as a result of that, felt like he was unable to play.
00:39 So you've got someone in the team, they're a very talented player, obviously, but he's basically not playing for the team.
00:43 And that really can't continue.
00:45 I mean, it was interesting that Daniel Farker said that he'd had that at Norwich, but not the same scenario,
00:48 but similar where basically people come out of the team and they sort of worked their way back into his promotion winning side.
00:53 And it kind of almost hinted like, well, maybe that might happen again with Nonto, you know.
00:57 But as I said, I've said the previous week, when fans turn against you, you know, sort of like it's very difficult to go back really.
01:02 And they're going to do. I can understand that because you've got a player there who's refused to play for the club.
01:06 So, I mean, I can only see it ending really one way.
01:09 What I would say about Leeds is like, I think they've got to be commended for sort of like digging the heels in, if you like,
01:13 and basically trying to, as Daniel Farker said himself, showing who's in the driver's seat, you know,
01:17 like not just caving in and selling at the first opportunity.
01:20 I think a lot of fans feel like this club has sold players on the cheap over previous years, you know,
01:25 and it seems like the 49ers, you know, won't let that happen.
01:27 Obviously, yes, there's been players gone. Adams, Tyler Adams, you know, an exit relegation, release clause, etc.
01:33 But with Nonto, they are in the driver's seat to a degree.
01:36 But I think, you know, as long as they can just drive up the price a little bit more,
01:38 whoever, obviously, I'll talk about Everton interest, but there will be other clubs too.
01:43 But yeah, I mean, unless there's some sort of like happy resolution to be found, which I can't really see,
01:46 then realistically, it's probably best for all parties if Nonto gets sold, he moves on, Leeds get the cash,
01:51 which they can hopefully reinvest. And ultimately, they've got players there who want to go out and play for the shirt.
