We drive our kids John Deere tractor and baler through the farmyard and past equipment to the field. There we line up near a real tractor and baler and get to work. We unload our first round bale and start working on the second. Then we smell smoke and play a game pretending that we have a bale on fire! Luckily we have a toy fire extinguisher. After putting out the pretend fire we finish our bales. Then we collect them with our tractor's front end loader and put them on our truck and trailer. Then we drive the bales of hay to a horse barn and feed the pony. Next, dad needs help in the real tractor baling. We get lucky and see a train go by too! In the educational segment we learn how hay works to feed animals like horses, cows, and sheep. We see a haybine, tedder, rake, round and square balers, front loaders, and flatbed semi trucks.
