00:00 Let's talk about pictures.
00:02 Pictures can speak but not actually.
00:06 It is said that the message inside them is more than a thousand words.
00:11 So, for a good photographer, not only the camera is not important,
00:14 but also the frame you are making,
00:16 the setting, the subject, the lighting background,
00:21 all these things matter.
00:23 So, this is a great fun.
00:24 And when you do this fun, you become an expert in it.
00:28 The expert photographer Rahim Baksh Kedran is giving the message of peace through his photos.
00:33 Think how he picks the situation and then gives the message of peace.
00:38 The amazing thing is that people of Balochistan
00:40 bring out the beautiful nature and the beautiful colors in their pictures.
00:44 His great work has been recognized at the international level.
00:48 His pictures have been exhibited in Paris.
00:51 And in his hobby of work, he has traveled to many places in Balochistan
00:55 and has preserved all the scenes in the eyes of the camera.
00:58 Wow!
00:59 What a beautiful sight!
01:00 It's a beautiful sight.
01:01 And you feel shy when you see your own photography or take a picture with the camera.
01:06 So, we have with us…
01:07 You should have that eye which can think about the scene and feel what message is there in it.
01:12 I think I don't have that eye.
01:14 So, we have with us Rahim Baksh Kedran, who is from Balkh, a district of Balochistan.
01:18 Thank you very much for taking out time for us.
01:21 And please tell us, I was thinking that if I get a good camera in my hand,
01:28 then when I take a picture, it will look like it was taken in 1950 and that will not be good.
01:32 But your pictures are such that they are remarkable.
01:37 So, when did this happen? How did this hobby happen?
01:40 And did you take good pictures from the beginning?
01:42 Thank you very much for having me.
01:46 See, every person has some quality and sometimes you don't know what quality Allah has kept in you.
01:53 So, with the passage of time, you keep moving forward and something keeps coming in front of you.
01:59 Basically, I am a professional in the development sector,
02:03 in rural development or in all the welfare work that I have been doing.
02:08 Over the period of time, I got the opportunity to travel a lot in the whole of Pakistan,
02:13 especially in Balochistan, because I have my own province and I had a lot of projects there.
02:18 So, during this project, whenever I used to go, I was interested in taking pictures,
02:23 talking to people, the people-to-people connection was very important.
02:27 So, during this time, I kept taking pictures and today,
02:30 because every person has an opportunity of social media and I kept uploading on it,
02:34 so many people kept appreciating.
02:37 So, I got a little encouragement that I should focus more on this.
02:43 So, it was a passion that I started.
02:46 Your theme is different every time, especially when you have a exhibition in Paris of pictures.
02:50 What was the theme of that and what feedback did you get on that?
02:53 The Paris one was a big breakthrough in my career.
03:00 Every artist, every photographer has a dream.
03:03 When we talk about art, the Paris of culture, you know,
03:07 from the French Revolution to the present day,
03:11 it is a big dream come true.
03:14 So, they were following my photography there too.
03:18 And two of my photos were taken there, especially at the art fair.
03:22 There is an old man, you must be seeing, and this is a local man.
03:27 He has a photograph, a very artistic photograph, and there is a lot of depth in it.
03:33 You can see Sufism, you can see a peace in his life.
03:37 Although his terrain, the state of life is very tough.
03:41 And there was this, and a Chinchi or Tuk-Tuk is standing on the shore of the sea.
03:46 I took a photo of that. He appreciated that a lot.
03:50 And the concept of this was also the same.
03:52 The title was also the same, someone's entire wealth.
03:58 It is a small thing, but it is a big home for someone.
04:01 People feel that they want to come this way, photography,
04:05 because now everyone has a mobile phone, people buy the most expensive camera.
04:09 So, is it necessary to have the best camera, or do you have that skill,
04:15 or do you have those perspectives to judge a scene,
04:19 that show the real magic in good photography?
04:22 Basically, both are there, but if you have a passion,
04:27 or you have the skills, or you have developed your skills over the period of time,
04:33 if they are already there, then you take the support of a good technology, a good camera,
04:37 then I think it is a very big thing.
04:40 And the message you want to give, it reaches to the next.
04:44 Thank you so much, Mr. Rahim Bakhsh, Khitran, for being with us.
04:49 We will keep his photos in the international exhibition.
04:52 get this video to Kingi.
