01:09 - I'm really pleased to be here at the Sustainability Awards.
01:13 It's a great evening and together
01:15 with the Business Sheffield team,
01:17 we're really proud to be supporting these events.
01:19 - I thought it was important to sponsor the awards tonight
01:23 because sustainability is the single biggest challenge
01:26 facing the food and drink manufacturing sector.
01:28 - Sustainability is really important,
01:31 both for the planet, for the local environment,
01:34 and also crucially, these days,
01:38 it's really great for business as well.
01:40 So we wanna do anything we can
01:42 to help support that agenda.
01:43 - And our researchers are really working hard
01:47 to find ways to make food production more sustainable,
01:51 use less energy, create less waste.
01:55 We work closely with the other university in Sheffield,
01:57 University of Sheffield,
01:59 as part of the South Yorkshire Sustainability Centre
02:02 to really drive sustainable behaviour
02:04 in the food supply chain and other industry sectors.
02:08 And we're also here
02:09 because the food and drink manufacturing sector
02:12 is the largest manufacturing sector in the UK.
02:15 So we're showcasing some of the excellent work
02:17 that's done there.
02:18 - And we're delighted to be here tonight.
02:19 We're so proud of what's going on in the region
02:21 and the fact that we can sponsor
02:22 the manufacturing award tonight.
02:24 It's really important for us
02:25 because manufacturing's got a really critical role
02:29 in decarbonising and reducing carbon emissions.
02:32 And in the next six years,
02:33 we're gonna reach the carbon budget.
02:35 So manufacturing in Yorkshire, manufacturing in the UK,
02:38 has got an absolutely fundamental role
02:40 in helping us keeping global temperature
02:43 below one and a half degrees.
02:44 And we're just so proud that we can be part of it tonight.
02:46 - The event's brilliant.
02:47 It's been super well organised
02:49 and it's lovely to be here to participate
02:52 and celebrate the success of all the groups
02:54 who are being recognised here today.
02:56 Not just the winners, but everyone else who's been involved.
02:58 And so it's been fantastic.
