00:03 I have no doubts that this regime will not
00:28 hesitate to oppress the people who they have the courage
00:36 to show their opposition.
00:39 But I know that this change, this maturity that
00:44 happened in the mind of people, we cannot go back.
00:51 I mean, once you tasted the freedom, you cannot go back.
00:56 You cannot forget about the moment
00:58 that you tasted the freedom.
01:00 I had this hope that this change can happen.
01:06 And I think it was the start of an end of this regime.
01:16 During all this time I was playing professionally,
01:20 during our trips and our travels out of the country,
01:24 there was people who were accompanying
01:26 our team named security guards.
01:30 They were accompanying our team everywhere.
01:32 They were monitoring you, what you eat, to whom you talk,
01:37 what you do.
01:38 I remember in a competition, it was World Youth Championships.
01:43 I won a medal.
01:44 And a nine-year-old boy, he wanted
01:47 to shake hands to say congrats.
01:51 But our manager, she was not the security guard,
01:57 but she was accompanying the team.
02:00 She mentioned that we cannot shake hands with men.
02:07 And it was really a shocking moment,
02:10 because you're just a kid, and you cannot shake hands
02:16 with your friend, which is a boy.
02:18 (gentle music)
