00:00 All right. Hey, the new trend, which is an old trend, is thrifting.
00:05 And who better to thrift with than the thrift on thrift day.
00:09 A lot of thrifting going on there, Erin.
00:11 A lot of thrifting, yes.
00:12 But goodwill. And that is the thrift capital, the thrift mecca
00:17 of anybody who's looking to thrift.
00:19 How many times can you say thrift?
00:20 I'm having a drinking game right now at home.
00:22 I'm going to say at least 50. At least 50.
00:24 Because again, thrifting is a thing that these new kids are doing.
00:29 But it's been around for a long time.
00:30 Goodwill has been around for a long time, hasn't it?
00:33 It really has. Yes.
00:34 And today is National Thrift Shop Day.
00:36 Yes. And we are celebrating that treasure hunt that really is thrifting.
00:40 Right. So I love it because you know what?
00:42 Start the car. Start the car. Start the car.
00:44 I love that commercial. I love it.
00:45 It's my favorite. It's my favorite. It's a good one.
00:46 Because that's what happens there of all these really cool deals.
00:49 And even on some names, brands that are there.
00:52 So we have some things on the table right now, which are very cool,
00:55 especially since we're back to school. Absolutely.
00:58 And the cool thing about it is that we know the kids have the uniforms
01:00 that we spent money on.
01:02 But then with the play clothes, we really don't want to spend a lot on that, do we?
01:05 No, we don't. We know.
01:06 And we know that kids grow so quickly, too.
01:08 And that really adds up when you're buying new clothes.
01:11 So to buy secondhand, gently used brand names.
01:13 Really, you get it for a lot less.
01:15 Yeah. And you guys do check them.
01:16 I mean, it's amazing how the stuff that comes through.
01:18 I just want to pick up a couple of things here.
01:20 So I just want to show. Let's see what. Oh, there it is.
01:23 So this is one right here. So look at this.
01:25 This is three forty nine, a cute little girl's shirt right there.
01:29 Ready to go. Absolutely. Yes.
01:31 And then you've got the uniforms, as you mentioned.
01:33 Everybody is back to school right now.
01:35 So we've got everything on this table, by the way, is about ten dollars and under.
01:39 So really a great savings for a good cause.
01:42 And then just a lot of really fun finds.
01:44 You've got some for for fall coming up here.
01:46 You've got this sweater, which is from the gap.
01:48 A lot of really great brand names.
01:50 And look at the dresses.
01:51 You know, it's kind of interesting.
01:52 We have those little dresses, parties that are coming up.
01:56 Oh, yes. You got that little Barbie kind of look right there.
01:59 Yeah. Which I love.
02:00 Purses, all kinds of things which are really neat.
02:03 Yeah. So you've got we've got women's clothes over here, women's accessories,
02:06 kids and then men's.
02:08 And no matter who you are, no matter who you're shopping for in your family,
02:11 you can find something at Goodwill.
02:12 Yeah. I'm going to give a little secret away.
02:14 Can I? Of one of my friends.
02:16 But they went in and they found like literally
02:19 like not even use brand new workout stuff that people buy.
02:23 And then they're like, oh, well, I don't have time to go to the mall or anything.
02:26 So they bring it to Goodwill.
02:27 Yes, because you also get, of course, a credit to your donations for it
02:31 and everything, which is really cool.
02:32 Yes. And donations really do drive our business.
02:35 And every time that you shop at Goodwill or you donate to Goodwill,
02:38 you are really giving back to our mission services.
02:40 And that includes everything from our free adult public high school
02:44 to our no cost career services and so much more.
02:47 Yeah, it's pretty cool.
02:48 What's also again, listen, Erin, don't mind me throwing some stuff out there.

02:52 There are how many here Goodwill's in Phoenix alone?
02:56 Like about 100. Yes.
02:58 So each one have something different.
03:01 And I have friends that literally take a day.
03:02 They take a Saturday. Yes.
03:04 And they go to it.
03:05 I'm going to say probably 25 of them each week.
03:08 Absolutely. To get like great deals and stuff.
03:10 Because different areas have different things.
03:13 Yeah. And so one of my friends, literally their whole house
03:15 is all Goodwill decorated.
03:17 I love that. I love that.
03:19 And guess how much they actually spent the whole house.
03:21 And this is a three bedroom home.
03:22 Guess how much they spend to decorate the whole house?
03:24 200.
03:27 Less. Less.
03:30 100. 150. That's amazing.
03:32 150. All three. Everything. I couldn't believe it.
03:34 Yeah, that was them traveling around and getting stuff.
03:36 So I love it with that.
03:38 Let's talk a little fashion, because again, these kids are thrifting.
03:41 I love that my daughter calls me up and says, Dad, I need 50 bucks to go shopping.
03:46 I'm like, well, what are you going to get a pair of shoes, a shirt?
03:48 She's like, no, Dad. Everything. Everything. A huge outfit.
03:51 So let's bring in our first model.
03:52 Come on in. Our first model here.
03:54 And so what do we have on here?
03:56 Yeah. And these are models from the marketing and communications team at Goodwill.

04:01 And we have Navarro's right here, who is wearing a very stylish leather jacket
04:05 from the Arizona Jeans Company.
04:07 He's wearing a flannel T-shirt from Gap and then one of your staples,
04:12 just a white tee from Kirkland and some brand name jeans.
04:14 And all of this is for under forty five dollars.
04:17 All those brand names for less.
04:18 There it is. All right. Our next model.
04:20 And here we have Becca.
04:25 So Becca is wearing a number of accessories from our online thrift shop,

04:30 And so she's wearing a Michael Kors purse.
04:32 I think we've got some coach shoes.
04:34 She's wearing these really awesome vintage earrings.
04:37 And then she's wearing a dress from Sheen, which is only about six dollars.
04:40 Oh, my gosh. And you can dress it up, dress it down, go to brunch, go to work.
04:44 You name it. You got your outfit.
04:45 I love it. I love it. All right. Our next model.
04:47 And here we have Chewy and Chewy is actually wearing one of my favorite finds
04:53 with me, well, Chewy, Chewy, Chewy, I love it.
04:56 Chewy is stylish, too. He is. He's stylish.
04:59 So he is wearing a jean jacket, a Levi jean jacket.
05:02 And it's a hard rock cafe jean jacket from London.
05:05 Oh, my gosh. So it's an incredibly special find.
05:07 I think it was only about twelve dollars.
05:09 Get out of here. Yeah. Really? Yeah.
05:11 Chewy, you know how much that thing is worth on the Internet?
05:14 Yeah, you know, I know you're walking away with that.
05:16 And what else is he wearing?
05:18 And then he's wearing a basic tee.
05:20 I think that was only about three dollars.
05:22 And then he's paired it with his own jeans and shoes.
05:24 So I like this.
05:25 And I think the number one employee
05:27 with the most incredible beard is about to come up right now.
05:29 Yes, amazing.
05:30 What is our next model with the most incredible beard, but not even looking
05:34 like he should have that beard? He looks stylish.

05:38 This is the go to outfit for summer.
05:40 And this is Nathan, by the way, with the beard.
05:43 So he is wearing it is a Calvin Klein striped tee.
05:47 And really, you can wear that to work.

05:52 And then he's wearing a couple of older finds that he actually had from Goodwill,
05:55 the shoes and the and the shorts as well.

05:58 And the beard. That's amazing. Yes.

06:10 I get like I said, 50 dollars for some of these outfits.
06:12 Absolutely. You could do a whole wardrobe.

06:24 Honestly, be sort by color size.
06:27 We have new items every single day.
06:29 And as you're flipping through the racks, you're going to find brand names.
06:32 You're going to find incredible items and just enjoy the thrill of the treasure hunt.
