Transcript
00:00 Is that something the chef will start?
00:01 We're no more than out here asking people
00:02 what their favorite sandwich shop is in the city.
00:06 When I say that, does anything come to mind at all?
00:08 - Yeah, Lunch Stop on West Street is a good one.
00:11 - Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:13 - Lovely couple that run it.
00:14 And number four, the falafel and hummus
00:18 and roasted veg, is it?
00:19 - Yeah. - Yeah, it is.
00:20 - Yeah. - It's a good one.
00:21 - That's a nice independent place.
00:22 We've been out here and asked people
00:23 and they've said things like Greg's and Flamin'.
00:27 (laughing)
00:27 - Pret.
00:28 - Pret a Manger.
00:29 - Yeah, it's nice to hear an independent answer actually.
00:32 Any more come to mind?
00:32 Say, is there a bit of a toss up between them and others?
00:35 - Sandwich Division, I'd say.
00:37 - Have you been there?
00:38 Did you go to the one up the road from Lunch Stop?
00:40 What was that one called?
00:41 - Don't think I have now.
00:42 - Aw, you haven't got a formal name for it.
00:44 But it's good as well.
00:45 - You guys have so many choices, this is great.
00:47 - Yeah, yeah, there's an awful lot of choices, right?
00:48 - Yeah, true.
00:49 - Yeah, Sandwich Division's good.
00:51 - Alright. - Or Morrible Law,
00:52 I'll go there.
00:53 - Morrible Law, is there a favorite?
00:54 Like, is there a favorite, any one you go to,
00:56 is that one that really comes to mind
00:57 or do you just go for something different when you go in?
00:59 - Oh, you mean in terms of like--
01:01 - Yeah, I'm a chicken and bacon mayo man myself,
01:03 what comes to mind for you?
01:04 - Yeah, the flatter one, the hummus one.
01:07 I don't, I'm not, I like meat,
01:09 but this one's just really, like,
01:12 it's nice, it's a good sandwich.
01:13 - It's different? - It's got good hummus.
01:14 - Yeah. - Good quality ingredients.
01:15 - It's either that or just the roast veggie hummus
01:18 with extra jalapenos.
01:19 - Alright.
01:20 - Just 'cause you've gotta have a little bit of spice
01:21 in your life, you know what I mean?
01:22 (laughing)
01:24 - Yeah.
01:25 - I'm sorry about that.
01:25 - Oh, and the cakes, the cakes are really big.
01:27 - Oh, yeah. - I love the cakes.
01:28 - Good cakes, yeah.
01:29 - You get a good, like, caramel shortbread.
01:31 - Mm. - Yeah.
01:32 - We're no more than out here asking people,
01:33 well, Sheffield's been named the cheapest place in the UK
01:36 you can buy a sandwich somehow, we don't know how,
01:38 but thought it'd be a good chance to come and ask people
01:40 what their favourite sandwich is and where to get it.
01:41 What's your favourite sandwich place?
01:43 - Has to be Gregg's.
01:44 - Has to be Gregg's? - Gregg's.
01:45 Nice and cheap, good meal deal.
01:46 - Gregg's. (laughing)
01:48 - You get a nice coffee with it and all.
01:49 - Right. - Yeah.
01:50 - Yeah, they get the same deal over across the UK, I guess.
01:52 - And no independence come to mind, for example.
01:54 - Oh, not off the top of my head.
01:56 No, no, no, no. (laughing)
01:57 It's just the Gregg's, 'cause it's just nice and easy,
01:58 it's just across the road, usually.
01:59 You can't go five steps up, bump it into a--
02:01 - That's true, there are about--
02:02 - Yeah. - I think there's more
02:04 street in Sheffield than in most cities,
02:06 but that's a, I'm counting off the top of my head,
02:07 don't make it up.
02:08 - No, I think you're right, yeah.
02:09 There's like, every other half step, there's about two.
02:12 - There's about two or three to every street,
02:13 which is more than the UK average, I've heard.
02:15 I'm being serious, too.
02:17 - Hey, what's your favorite sandwich, go on.
02:19 - It is the Mexican chicken over-bite from Gregg's.
02:22 - Yeah. - Nice sandwich, yeah, yeah.
02:24 I'm going with the toasties.
02:25 - All right. - Yeah.
