Tropical storm disrupts travel in Japan

A strong tropical storm hit central and western Japan, causing flooding, power outages, and travel disruptions during a Buddhist holiday week. The storm, weakened from Typhoon Lan, made landfall in Wakayama and moved northwest, impacting rivers, buildings, and transportation. While no casualties were reported, the storm led to overflowing rivers, building damage, and halted train services.
