Transcript
00:00 Storms in the east could result in travel troubles as we head into midweek, but it looks
00:04 much better if your travels take you farther west.
00:07 Jeff Cornish has more in tonight's Travel Outlook.
00:10 Well our travel trouble is fairly restrictive to the east coast here as we move on through
00:15 this Tuesday.
00:16 As we take a look at tomorrow's forecast travel wise, we're in great shape across the west.
00:20 It's going to be hot, the hottest weather of the season for some of us in the Pacific
00:23 Northwest early this week.
00:25 Look out for some spotty thunderstorms around Albuquerque, but otherwise the north central
00:29 US.
00:30 Lots of green lights, this is a good spot for travel on this Tuesday.
00:33 South central, only problem areas are going to be near New Orleans where cold fronts could
00:37 spark some scattered storms.
00:39 We could welcome the cooler air though, it's going to still be hot in advance of that though
00:42 in New Orleans.
00:43 Big problems though near Raleigh, scattered strong to severe thunderstorms there.
00:47 Scattered storms possible into Atlanta, Jacksonville and Miami as well.
00:50 As we travel a little farther north, some lingering showers and rain in Detroit, Columbus,
00:54 Indianapolis as well.
00:55 Into the New England states we have some showers, even some thunderstorms around Boston.
00:59 Tricky travel weather there, could be some delays in the morning.
01:02 And then down I-95, New York to DC.
01:04 Also some scattered thunderstorms.
01:06 The number of flight cancellations will drop off though later this week with drier weather.
01:09 Back to you.
