00:00 According to a royal insider, Princess Anne and her late father Prince Philip had a very strong bond.
00:07 According to a former royal butler, Princess Anne will continue to break the mold of being a traditional royal as she turns 73 on Tuesday.
00:16 Grant Harold, who spent seven years working for King Charles when he was the Prince of Wales,
00:21 recently spoke with Slingo about his favorite recollections of the Princessed Royal.
00:26 When asked if he had any memorable interactions with Anne, Grant recalled one instance in which she called the palace to talk to her brother.
00:34 "When I picked up the phone, I can still remember how anxious I was.
00:38 I tried to connect her to Charles after hearing her voice, but I accidentally clipped the wrong button, which disconnected her.
00:45 I was appalled. I apologized profusely. She was cool about it, but of course it was our first conversation.
00:52 She's someone I've seen a lot of at events as well. She always greets everyone with such friendliness and politeness.
00:59 Her bond with her father Philip, in my opinion, has been greatly downplayed. It suffered a setback.

01:14 Whether Anne is laid back or not, Grant clarified, "Absolutely. She simply doesn't let anything phase her, as evidenced by footage of her over the years.
01:24 When I was working with the then king, I had a lot of meetings with her, and I appreciated how honest she was with everyone.

01:37 She is a really blunt individual, but Anne also has a really jovial side to her that, in my opinion, derives from the late queen."
