00:00 Transformed WG is an insecticide that's been used in canola for some years now to control
00:09 green peach aphid and other aphids.
00:11 Being a group 4C it provides a nice rotational partner to existing chemistry.
00:16 It's a very important rotational partner with new chemistry coming onto the market also
00:19 that controls green peach and other aphids in canola and in cereals as well.
00:26 Transformed WG is a locally systemic product so when applied to the leaf surface it has
00:30 good translaminar activity so it moves through the leaf to the underside.
00:34 Acropetally it moves across the leaf so through and across the leaf and the local systemic
00:39 activity takes transformed WG up to new growth so you'll actually get growth protection of
00:46 the new growth in the canola and cereal plants.
00:49 New registrations on the label now give growers the ability to control cabbage aphid later
00:54 in the crop as well so growers can apply transformed WG to pick up all the aphids, specifically
01:00 cabbage aphid which comes in late.
01:02 The transformed WG is registered in a lot of different crops.
01:04 It's not just broad acre crops that transformed is registered in and over the years we've
01:07 seen transformed mixed with all sorts of products including fungicides, other insecticides,
01:12 foliar nutrients and we've never seen any incompatibilities with other products.
01:16 That's the key thing to remember with transformed from a resistance aspect.
01:20 You can only apply one transformed for aphids before you apply a different mode of action
01:25 and if need be you can go back with a second transformed but you need a breaker in the
01:29 middle of a different mode of action.
01:31 Transformed is a good IPM product.
01:33 There is some bee safety claims on the label.
01:35 Other beneficials are very safe.
01:37 This year sees transformed registered in forage brassicas also.
01:40 Another important new label claim this year is lucerne.
01:43 Growers have looked for an option to control aphids in lucerne but more importantly mirids
01:47 which is something growers have been looking for.
