DOH, umapela sa mga pamilya na isulong ang ligtas at malusog na pagpapasuso kasabay ng Nat'l Breastfeeding Awareness Month
Transcript
00:00 This National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, the Health Department again reminded us of the importance of proper, adequate, and exclusive feeding of babies for the first six months.
00:11 According to experts, breastfeeding is important to avoid illness, nutrition, and especially stunting or breastfeeding of babies.
00:20 The World Health Assembly targets to increase exclusive breastfeeding to 50% by 2025.
00:28 But based on the average breastfeeding prevalence rate in the country from 2018 to 2021, the Philippines has already reached the target.
00:37 If there is breastfeeding and it is practiced in the whole country, if we have infants from six months below,
00:51 we can really avoid mortality rates. We can lower mortality and morbidity rates and we can improve the health of these infants.
