The Women's World Cup is coming to an end in New Zealand, but the Football Ferns are hopeful their legacy will continue.

00:06 That was one of our huge goals, to inspire the Kiwis and to inspire the young generation of new footballers.

00:42 Well, I will definitely remember that moment when we beat Norway and it was actually our first historic win at the World Cup.
00:52 Seeing how much it meant for the nation to have this win and seeing what could happen after this game,
01:00 I believe we set the tone and teams that were not favorites in the games are winning and it's amazing for the women's game.

01:14 I think particularly for this World Cup, I think there's a sense of celebration about it.
01:18 It's like people are going along and actually want to experience something a little bit new.
01:23 Maybe many of our public haven't watched top football the way they're watching it now.

01:30 It'll take time, but all the messages we've received and I think the impact we've had, especially on young girls around this country,
01:37 that was our number one goal.
01:39 Seeing people smiling just to see us and thanking us for what we've done for this country is beyond.
