00:00 >> I'm grateful to be thrown with both of them.
00:02 Both of those guys are really good quarterbacks and
00:04 they compete every day to get out there, yeah.
00:06 So that's all I can really say right now, yeah.
00:10 They're just both great quarterbacks and they go out there and compete every day.
00:13 >> Is there anything in specific you feel like you can do to build chemistry with
00:17 them or is it just getting as much- >> Yeah, for sure.
00:19 After practice, we always throw extra even in the spring when we weren't doing
00:23 anything, well, in the fall when we weren't doing anything.
00:26 We were chilling, going out, throw extra balls, a lot of receivers.
00:29 It's not even just me and them, everybody.
00:31 That's what I really like about it here too.
00:33 It's not just one receiver that's going out there, a couple receivers going out
00:36 there getting balls.
00:36 Everybody wants to come out there and get extra work.
00:38 So it's always good to see that.
00:40 >> Cam Perry is a younger guy who's kind of stood out so far.
00:43 Just what's been your impression of him since he got here?
00:45 What's he like kind of away from the field?
00:47 >> Yeah, me and Cam actually knew each other back in high school.
00:51 We played with Cam seven on seven together.
00:53 So he's always been a real shifty receiver, real nice, smooth route runner.
00:58 And Cam's gonna be a good contributor for us this year for sure.
01:02 >> Coach talked about how you have a really high ceiling and
01:05 he wants to tap into that.
01:06 What do you think the process is of getting you to reach your ceiling this
01:08 season is?
01:10 >> Really just, it starts off with yourself first.
01:12 You gotta always believe in yourself, make sure you can always go out there.
01:16 Make sure you got all your job, everything that goes into your job, intact.
01:20 And make sure you know what you're doing when you're on the field so
01:22 you can go out there and play free.
01:24 That's the main thing that's gonna get players and me and
01:27 me myself able to play free and make big plays down the field.
01:30 It's just being able to know what you're doing and play free and
01:32 not to think as much.
01:34 >> Were the last couple years hard for you?
01:35 When you had such a good freshman year and
01:38 maybe not living up to what you think you could do?
01:41 Was that difficult?
01:41 Did you have any kind of, I don't know, doubts or frustrations?
01:45 Just was that hard?
01:46 >> Of course, for sure.
01:48 I'd say my sophomore year I got hurt.
01:50 And so then I came back, started repping with the twos and things like that.
01:54 And I've never really been a two in my life.
01:56 So it was kind of hard, but yeah, you just gotta fight through that.
01:59 Just gotta keep trying to push, keep pushing.
02:01 And so yeah, it was tough, but it's just a mind thing really at the end of the day.
02:06 And that's how I always look at it.
