02:15 - Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Tuesday
02:18 after being convicted of three felony counts
02:21 over the incident in which he shot
02:22 at the feet of Megan Thee Stallion.
02:24 The sentence was much harsher than the probation sought
02:27 by the rapper's lawyers,
02:28 but less than the 13 years that prosecutors had requested.
02:32 Neither Tory's legal team nor the DA's office
02:34 immediately returned a request for comment.
02:37 According to the Associated Press,
02:39 Tory asked the judge for probation
02:40 or a minimal prison sentence saying,
02:42 "If I could turn back the series of events that night
02:44 "and change them, I would.
02:46 "The victim was my friend.
02:47 "The victim is someone I still care for to this day.
02:50 "Everything I did wrong that night,
02:52 "I take full responsibility for."
