00:00 Live from the GMA Network Center, this is 24 Horas.
00:06 Good evening, Zon Visayas and Mindanao.
00:13 The new China Coast Guard will bomb the Philippine's bank.
00:19 The new notary will issue a notice to the Philippines against China.
00:27 This is the first of more than 400 diplomatic protests initiated by the Philippines.
00:31 The Philippine Coast Guard said that six ships and two Chinese militias
00:37 will separate the banks that will deliver supplies to the soldiers in Ayungin Shoe.
00:41 Sandra Aguinaldo was there.
00:43 David vs. Goliath.
00:48 That was found in the West Philippine Sea this Saturday, August 5.
00:53 That giant ship of the China Coast Guard almost hit the smaller Philippine Coast Guard ship
00:59 that escorts the banks that will deliver supplies to the military troops in BRP Sierra Madre, Ayungin Shoe.
01:08 The next thing that happened,
01:11 they were bombed by the water of the China Coast Guard.
01:16 The Philippine's sea vehicles were hit by the force of the water.
01:21 From the video that was shared in the media by Senate President Mig Zubiri,
01:27 the water splashed on the Philippine vessel that was forced to swim away.
01:32 According to the PCG, two PCG vessels escorted two indigenous boats.
01:39 Six giant ships of the China Coast Guard and two Chinese militias were defending them.
01:46 They were separated from the Chinese Navy ships that were in the middle of the incident.
01:51 In this picture, you can see how small one of those indigenous boats is
01:57 surrounded by giant Chinese ships.
02:00 At one point, the China Coast Guard just crossed the PCG vessel
02:05 so the PCG's engine had to be turned off so that it wouldn't hit the Chinese.
02:12 The Chinese were able to separate the PCG vessels from the supply boats that they were escorting.
02:41 When the water was blocked and bombed,
02:44 it was near the entrance of Ayungin Shoal, which is in the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.
02:49 Ayungin Shoal is 105 nautical miles away or less than 200 kilometers from Palawan.
02:56 According to the Coast Guard,
02:58 they met the indigenous boats at Sabina Shoal last Saturday.
03:02 Before 7 in the morning that day, they started to bomb a China Coast Guard ship.
03:10 At 7 in the morning, another China Coast Guard ship arrived.
03:13 At 8 in the morning, three China Coast Guard ships were already on board.
03:19 At 8.19 in the morning, a Chinese ship was already on the route.
03:25 At 8.40 in the morning, the China Coast Guard was already attacked by one of the indigenous boats of the Philippines.
03:33 In these pictures, you can see how the smaller vessel escaped.
03:39 When they were able to separate the Coast Guard ships from the indigenous boats that were being escorted,
03:43 the water was almost at the same time being blocked from the indigenous boats and the Coast Guard ships.
03:49 Because of what happened, only one supply boat arrived at Ayungin Shoal
03:53 where the BRP Sierra Madre, the military post of the Philippines, was guarding.
03:58 This was a concerted effort as mentioned by Comodore Tariella.
04:01 A concerted effort wherein our ships were effectively corralled.
04:06 So this was like a David versus Goliath situation.
04:11 While all of this was happening, the Philippines called its counterpart in China but there was no response.
04:18 The Philippines through the DFA also expressed disappointment
04:23 that the DFA was unable to reach its counterpart to the maritime communication mechanism for several hours
04:29 while the incident was occurring.
04:31 The DFA called the ambassador of China and he was given the note verbal of the Philippines as a protest in the event.
04:38 In total, there were 445 diplomatic protests against the Philippines against China.
04:46 The final and binding 12 July 2016 award in the South China Sea arbitration expressly stated
04:54 that Ayungin Shoal is within the exclusive economic zone and continental shelf of the Philippines
05:01 over which the Philippines has sovereign rights and jurisdictions.
05:05 But China said that the BRP Sierra Madre should be removed by the Philippines
05:10 but the Philippines will not abandon the BRP Sierra Madre.
05:15 We will never abandon Ayungin Shoal. We are committed to Ayungin Shoal.
05:19 Who is China's coast guard to tell us what to do?
05:22 For GMA Integrated News, Sandra Ginaldo, for 24 Hours.
05:28 Following the delivery of the note verbal of the Philippines to the Chinese embassy,
05:34 the President stated that there is a gray area because China is insisting that they should leave.
05:42 The former Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio Carpio
05:47 also insisted that the President should be careful.
05:51 Ivan Mayrina and Lei Alves were also involved.
05:54 Because of the Chinese Coast Guard's obstruction and water cannon,
06:00 the Philippines sent a note verbal to Chinese Ambassador Wang Xilian
06:04 along with the video and the incident's picture.
06:06 The President himself said that along with the violation of the country's rights in the West Philippine Sea,
06:11 and the continued talks with China.
06:13 We continue to assert our territorial rights in the face of all of these challenges
06:22 and consistent with the international law and UNCLOS especially.
06:29 But we still have to keep communicating with the Chinese government
06:35 because we need to really come to a conclusion.
06:39 We have no injuries, but we are still lacking in resupply
06:46 that we brought to Sierra Madre.
06:48 That's why we need to think about what we will do next.
06:51 But the President also said that China's position is that they are saying that they own the area.
06:56 But we are saying that we own the area and that's why we are defending it.
07:00 That's why it's a gray area that we are talking about.
07:06 The President said that he will hold a joint press conference to discuss how the Philippines will respond to the incident.
07:10 The tension happened less than a month after former President Rodrigo Duterte's arrest in China
07:16 against Chinese President Xi Jinping.
07:18 President Marcos believes that this has nothing to do with the incident.
07:21 For former Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio,
07:25 the President's statement that there is a gray area in the incident is wrong.
07:29 There is no gray area because we have a ruling.
07:33 In the case of the Arbitral Tribunal, Ayungin Shoal is a low tide elevation,
07:40 low tide feature, and forms part of the EEZ of the Philippines.
07:46 It forms part of the exclusive economic zone.
07:49 Under UNCLOS, only the coastal state, only the Philippines can put up a structure there.
07:55 And no country can stop us from putting a structure there.
08:00 China has no right whatsoever to stop us because that's our exclusive economic zone.
08:04 He should be careful in giving such statements.
08:10 He should be because that will not only confuse us but give aid and comfort to China.
08:18 And our allies will be confused because our allies know that that's already declared under the tribunal
08:29 and that's already part of the EEZ.
08:30 GMA News is trying to get the full story on this.
08:34 Carpio also said that aside from the fact that China has no right to stop the Philippines from putting a structure in Ayungin Shoal,
08:42 the Chinese Coast Guard's actions are clearly against the United Nations Charter
08:48 and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
08:51 That is considered a threat of force.
08:57 Meanwhile, the UN Charter prohibits states from settling disputes by threat or use of force.
09:07 All disputes must be settled by negotiation, mediation, arbitration, judicial settlement.
09:15 That's the basic principle foundation of the UN Charter.
09:21 Carpio's goal is to call on the Philippines to other countries of the United Nations to condemn China's actions.
09:28 For GMA Integrated News, I'm Ivan Meirena and I'm Leigh Alviz.
09:34 We are tuned 24/7.
09:37 The price of diesel will increase by 4 pesos per liter starting tomorrow.
09:44 Jeepney operators are determined to increase the price of diesel during rush hour.
09:51 The Jeepney driver, Ricky Rendaje, is earning a lot of money
09:59 because of the 4 pesos increase in the price of diesel per liter that will be implemented tomorrow.
10:03 He is now spending 1,200 pesos per day on diesel.
10:09 If we earn 4 pesos, instead of 500 pesos, maybe it will be 250 pesos.
10:15 Because we will add 250 pesos to our diesel.
10:18 The price of diesel will also increase by 50 centimers per liter tomorrow.
10:23 We will save on food.
10:25 Our budget is already insufficient.
10:28 It's good that the government is helping us.
10:34 It's a big thing.
10:37 The LTFRB has a 3 billion pesos fuel subsidy that will be given to public vehicles.
10:43 60,000 pesos for each unit of the modern Jeepney and UV Express.
10:48 6,500 pesos for the traditional Jeepney.
10:52 1,200 pesos for the motorcycle, taxi and delivery service that will be done through e-wallet.
11:00 1,000 pesos for the tricycle drivers that will be delivered to the local government where they are registered.
11:07 By next week, it will be ready.
11:10 We have already prepared the payment.
11:13 It's not cash out.
11:15 They have this card and they have to go to the different gasoline stations.
11:23 They will only exchange it for gas.
11:28 It will be given to the Jeepney operators to add to their expenses for crude oil.
11:33 For example, for a Jeepney that consumes more than 2,000 for 30 liters of diesel at the old price of 72 pesos per liter,
11:42 120 pesos will be added every day because of the price hike tomorrow.
11:47 Jeepney drivers can delay the government's assistance.
11:52 But if the price of crude oil will continue to increase, it will be insufficient.
11:57 That's why some Jeepney operators are asking for pesos to add to their expenses for rush hour.
12:03 But LTFRB is bold in their prediction.
12:06 It might be easier if they give 20 to 50 centimers to add to their expenses.
12:13 We will give 50 cents.
12:15 You will give the pesos?
12:17 We will give the pesos.
12:19 For GMA Integrated News, Joseph Morong, 24 Hours.
12:23 There is still flood in some schools on the first day of enrollment in public schools.
12:27 And because there are only three weeks left before the school starts, will all students be able to attend the class?
12:33 That is what June Veneration is aiming at.
12:36 In this situation, the flood reached Calizon Elementary School here in Calumpit, Bulacan.
12:45 When the storm hit, more than five floors were flooded.
12:50 Many things were damaged, including the modules that were flooded.
12:53 Before the flood came, we were able to lift each room.
12:56 On the first day and second day, it was okay.
12:59 On the third day, it was really big. We were submerged.
13:01 The DepEd in the school has promised to replace the wet modules and other damaged by the flood.
13:07 But they might not be able to attend the class on August 29.
13:12 If it won't reach, even for a week,
13:16 we might be able to attend the Saturday class or we might be able to attend the extension class.
13:20 I hope the flood will be gone.
13:22 So that we can study.
13:26 Even though the Hagonay East Central School is not that high,
13:30 it is also serving as an evacuation center.
13:32 In total, three classrooms for Grade 1 students of Hagonay East Central School are still submerged in the flood.
13:41 The school administration's plan to transfer the students to other schools is a recurring problem.
13:49 There will also be a shift.
13:51 Some will be admitted in the morning, some in the afternoon.
13:54 But even before now, 15 classrooms were abandoned because of the flood all year round.
14:01 We were submerged.
14:03 When it rains, we just take care of our notebook.
14:10 Because it might fall.
14:12 We will embrace everything that is happening.
14:15 At the same time, we are asking the DepEd, the Department of Education, for the help and support to us.
14:24 Because more than 353 classrooms were flooded by the Ege and Falcon,
14:29 DepEd issued 2 billion pesos for repairs.
14:33 They are the priority in our disaster funds for repairs.
14:39 If the amount of money is not enough by the opening of classes,
14:42 we have a blended learning modality that they can use.
14:46 In other public schools,
14:48 the opening of the Brigada Escuela and enrollment is ongoing.
14:53 For GMA Integrated News, June Veneracion, 24 Hours.
14:57 The President visited the Philippines, Pampanga and Mulacana.
15:04 He was able to get attention from some officials who discussed the possibility of installing a water impounding facility in Candaba Swap.
15:13 Ian Krul was able to get attention.
15:15 From Ipapawid, the President saw the extent of the flood that was submerged in a small community in Pampanga.
15:25 In a meeting in Capitolio, which was also attended by local officials,
15:31 the President asked for possible solutions to make the flood subside.
15:35 Dredging and deepening of the Pampanga River were also discussed.
15:41 But the President thinks that a long-term solution should be found instead of dredging.
15:48 It is a very temporary solution.
15:51 It lasts for 4 to 6 months.
15:56 Then you will dredge again.
15:59 Number two, it is very expensive to do.
16:01 The whole government will be affected.
16:03 The solution mentioned by the Water Management Consultant of the Government, Rogelio Singzon,
16:09 is to have a water impounding facility in Candaba Swamp
16:13 so that it can help in the flood and not to dredge directly in the communities.
16:18 But it was damaged by some dredgers.
16:21 We are not going to allow that.
16:23 The whole movement started in Candaba.
16:28 If you want a security problem, destroy the livelihood of all the farmers in Candaba.
16:34 We will walk out of here.
16:36 According to Singzon, who was also a DPWH Secretary,
16:39 the whole Candaba Swamp will not be used as an impounding facility.
16:45 I will not dredge the whole Candaba Swamp.
16:49 Out of the 2,000 hectares, we are saying 200 hectares,
16:55 only 20% will be dredged so that the remaining portion of Candaba
17:01 can be used all season.
17:04 It is not the same now.
17:06 What can you plant there?
17:08 Nothing. Only ethics will be taken care of there.
17:10 The President said that the project's decision and implication is heavy,
17:13 but it needs to be a benchmark for the effect of climate change.
17:19 The location of the water impounding is not a political decision.
17:29 We need to follow the land and water flow.
17:34 Not because one is in favor and the other is close to the President.
17:39 That doesn't work that way.
17:41 The President immediately approved the construction of the north-western expressway in San Simon,
17:48 which was also proposed by the Mayor of our town.
17:50 The Tulaoc Bridge will also be built that will cross the Enlex.
17:55 We will raise the Enlex and then we will study the alternative routes,
18:00 5 hours to Pampanga, that's all.
18:02 Before the construction, the President inspected the distribution of aid and payment
18:07 for the work given under the implementation program.
18:11 The President also reached out to the residents of Malolos, Pulacan.
18:17 We started by providing food and water.
18:22 After that, we will provide cash because each family needs different things.
18:31 For GMA Integrated News, Ian Cruz, for 24 Hours.
18:36 For the services of Manila,
18:39 the three-month water interruption will start tomorrow in some places in Cavite and Las Pinas.
18:46 Mark Salazar is live from Cavite.
18:48 Manila is preparing its customers in Las Pinas City, Bacoor and Imus in Cavite
19:01 for the water interruption from tomorrow until November 2, between 5pm to 6am.
19:08 If the supply shrinks, while the Ultra-Filtration or UF Membranes
19:15 are the most important part of the Putatan Water Treatment Plant.
19:19 If this will affect, there will be only hours outside.
19:26 But as of now, we have already replaced many.
19:31 Somehow, we will be able to meet the needs outside.
19:35 It is important to replace the UF Membranes before the Burak again reaches Laguna Lake in the rainy season.
19:44 5 out of 14 UF Membranes have been replaced,
19:48 which is not yet affecting the operation of the plant.
19:51 We are waiting for the Laguna Lake to rise again.
19:58 We expect it to happen around November or December.
20:03 We need to finish this.
20:05 We are targeting to finish the replacement of the UF Membranes by November.
20:11 We should finish by November.
20:14 This is what the water looks like in Laguna Lake in the rainy season.
20:18 It is not yet the time for Burak.
20:21 You might think that you can't drink that.
20:25 But after 45 minutes of 3 stages of filtration of this plant in Putatan Montinlupa,
20:33 you can drink that Burak.
20:36 Do you agree?
20:39 Laguna Lake is now the only source of fresh water for the people of Montinlupa, Las Piñas, and Parte ng Cavite.
20:46 300 million liters per day,
20:49 which is required by the Putatan Water Treatment Plant 1 and 2 for 157,000 customers of Manila.
20:56 In these water pools, the stage 1 of filtration is done,
21:01 which is the removal of the larger solid silt or Burak from the water.
21:07 The stage 2 of filtration is the removal of the large solid silt or Burak from the water.
21:10 This stage 2 is the removal of the large solid silt or Burak from the water.
21:13 And the stage 3 is the ultra filtration,
21:17 which is the removal of non-organic metallic substance and viruses.
21:21 If there is a reason to doubt the quality of the water in the lake,
21:25 for example, the increase of coliform from the human's silt,
21:29 this reverse osmosis filtration will be used.
21:34 We are also monitoring the quality of the water in Laguna Lake consistently
21:42 to know what are the changes and what are our actions based on those changes.
21:49 For GMA Integrated News, Mark Salazar, Nakatutok 24 Hours.
21:56 [Intro Music]
22:05 Kapuso, it's a new week again and for now,
22:09 the time is better for most of the country.
22:13 But we are still following the updates,
22:16 especially that there is a cloud cluster or a cluster of clouds.
22:21 According to the forecast, it will be seen in the east of Mindanao,
22:25 while outside is the Philippine Area of Responsibility and it has no effect in the country.
22:30 It is possible that it will move south and for now, the chance of it being a storm is low.
22:35 But Kapuso, we will continue to monitor it for the next few days.
22:40 The wind is still blowing in the western section of Luzon,
22:44 while the localized thunderstorms are possible in other parts of the country.
22:49 Based on the data of Metro Weather,
22:52 there are only a few parts of the Ilocos Region that are exposed to rain,
22:55 including La Union, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan,
22:59 and other parts of Central Luzon, Mindoro, and Palawan Provinces.
23:05 In Metro Manila,
23:07 the rain chances are low, so you can still worship in the morning.
23:12 But by afternoon, there are chances of localized thunderstorms.
23:17 So make sure to watch out for the sidewalks and walk with a umbrella if you are walking tomorrow.
23:22 For our Kapuso, Visayas,
23:25 there are scattered rains that can be experienced in Panay Island and Negros Provinces,
23:30 as well as in Central Visayas and Eastern Visayas.
23:34 It will also be rainy in a large part of Mindanao tomorrow.
23:38 The green and yellow on the map means that it is low to moderate rain.
23:46 There are also some places that are orange,
23:48 like Bukidnon, Agusan del Sur, and Davao Region.
23:52 This means that it will be heavy rain, so we should be prepared for possible flooding.
23:58 Take care, Kapuso.
24:00 And that's the latest in the latest weather.
24:02 I'm Maureen Shrivers for GMA Integrated News Weather Center.
24:05 We are the ones you can count on, no matter what the weather.
24:08 [music]
24:12 We will be updated on Shibby's Happenings.
24:15 [music]

24:24 The announcement of the concert was followed by the release of the poster of the concert,

24:51 [music]
24:54 Kalil Ramos was excited when he watched his debut musical play, Tick Tick Boom.
24:59 His girlfriend Gabby Garcia, who is super proud of Kalil, is full support for him.
25:04 [music]
25:08 The actress and singer, Max Eigenman, is grateful and honored
25:11 to be nominated as the Best Actress in the ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards
25:16 for her role as Sarah in the 2022 Cinemalaya Finalist, Cargo.
25:21 [music]
25:24 All About Sustainability was given by Sparkle Star and Beauty Queen,
25:28 Rabia Mateo, for her participation in the advocacy of GMA Network
25:33 and as a major food and beverage manufacturer, a heart and life partner of the environment.
25:38 As a fashionista herself, Rabia is working hard to minimize fashion waste.
25:44 [music]
25:47 Whatever the trend and innovation, online, fitness, lifestyle, technology, and more,
25:54 we will be with you because you will be with something new here in 24 Hours.
26:00 Let's change the game with sportscaster and Sparkle host, Martin Javier, our game changer.
26:07 [music]
26:10 Thank you very much, Mel, and exciting night, Kapuso!
26:22 Just a little bit more because we will try extreme sports that will make you cry,
26:28 and those who don't want to fall. Let's change the game and unlock your inner Spiderman with Indoor Wall Climbing.
26:34 [music]
26:37 Step here,
26:40 get there,
26:43 until the knock comes,
26:46 and you're Spiderman!
26:48 That's cool, right? Come on, join me as I try my hand again at Indoor Wall Climbing. Let's go!
26:55 My first wall climbing experience, we were forced to do it because I was a PE student in college.
27:00 I felt like I was challenged in an activity because you need to be strong upper body,
27:07 actually, your whole body needs to be strong.
27:09 [music]
27:12 Let's go! Let's change the game!
27:15 [music]
27:21 Meet my instructor, Mike, who has been in the industry for more than a decade.
27:26 There are techniques on how to properly climb the wall, how to properly grip on the climbing hold,
27:33 because you are holding different kinds of climbing holds.
27:36 I also met Maricar and Jolo, who became regular mother and son bonding with Indoor Wall Climbing.
27:43 I found climbing to be an opportunity for me to learn a new sport.
27:49 I did it just for one hour, just to also relieve the stress from the office work.
27:53 Just do it. You won't fall because those coaches will save you.
27:56 You won't fall, you'll get a beating.
27:59 For beginners and fellow climbers, we need to wear harnesses.
28:03 And climbing shoes.
28:05 This is the top rope climbing area recommended for beginners.
28:09 To avoid falling, the rope system is used to climb.
28:14 [music]
28:18 The wall we're trying now is a bit harder.
28:21 Because it's more inclined and you can see that we have fewer climbing holds.
28:26 But we'll try it.
28:30 You can see that we're climbing higher and higher, but we're still going up.
28:37 This level is a bit higher.
28:39 Let's go! We're almost there.
28:47 This is a bit more challenging than the previous one because it's a bit inclined.
28:50 But we got it done. Let's go.
28:52 We're going down.
28:54 Bouldering is called climbing without a rope.
29:03 As you can see, this is a bit harder because of course, we don't have a rope.
29:08 [music]
29:17 I also didn't pass the first kilter board in the country.
29:22 Level up is its difficulty.
29:24 Where the climbing holds are lit up.
29:27 This is what a climber should do to successfully complete the route.
29:32 [music]
29:38 So we tried.
29:40 But at least we can still do it.
29:45 At least we'll get back.
29:47 And that is the full indoor wall climbing experience.
29:50 We were really challenged today.
29:52 But someday, we'll be able to conquer the harder wall.
29:55 But I'm encouraging you guys to try indoor wall climbing and challenge yourself.
30:01 For GMA Integrated News, I'm Martin Avier, Changing the Game!
30:05 [music]
30:10 My fellow countrymen, let's go back to the new water pump of a Chinese ship in one of our boats.
30:16 It happened in the middle of the West Philippine Sea while the Philippine boats were heading to Yungin Shoal to bring supplies to BRP Sierra Madre.
30:25 According to experts, it was possible that China weakened not only the forces of the soldiers there
30:30 but also the chance of the ship's hull being damaged and the area being ravaged.
30:37 Chino Gaston was there.
30:39 [music]
30:42 After they bombed the water, crushed and almost destroyed the giant ships of China,
30:47 the two supply boats to BRP Sierra Madre returned to Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
30:55 One of the two ships brought supplies for the soldiers in the damaged ship.
31:00 It's not yet certain when the supplies will be delivered but the soldiers there will not be left behind.
31:07 BRP Sierra Madre is a Philippine Navy Commission vessel.
31:11 It's an active Philippine Navy Commission vessel.
31:13 Therefore, we will continue to resupply it.
31:15 We will do what is necessary to provide supplies and provision for our troops there.
31:19 So long and as long as it takes.
31:24 We will do what is necessary to make sure that it will continue to stand there.
31:28 According to maritime and security experts, China is keeping Yungin Shoal closed
31:33 because they are waiting for the Philippines to destroy it or for BRP Sierra Madre to be completely destroyed,
31:40 which was in Yungin since 1999.
31:43 We need to start calling this what it is.
31:47 It is a blockade.
31:50 China is blockading a Philippine ship, a Philippine outpost in the Philippine ZEZ.
31:56 China's entire strategy at Yungin Shoal is to let the Sierra Madre decompose.
32:03 They want it to become uninhabitable, break up, slide off into the shoal.
32:09 If the flag is there, it will be a one-way street.
32:16 This is a good opportunity for the alliance between the Philippines and the United States,
32:20 especially since there is a mutual defense treaty.
32:22 Earlier, the Political Military Unit Chief of the U.S. Embassy, Rian Jensen, visited Kalayaan Municipal Hall in Puerto Princesa.
32:32 The flagship of the U.S. 7th Fleet, the Command and Control Ship USS Blue Ridge, also arrived in Puerto Princesa.
32:40 The U.S. is assuring that it will help if there is an armed attack on any public vessel, aircraft, and armed forces of the Philippines.
32:46 But the DFA said that this is not the time yet.
32:50 The United States has actually publicly affirmed in its statement, in various statements,
32:56 at the highest level that it has ironclad commitment to the defense of the Philippines
33:02 pursuant to the Philippine-U.S. Mutual Defense Treaty of 1951.
33:07 And here, we deal with the concept of what constitutes an armed attack in the Pacific.
33:12 But there is no clear definition as to what defines public vessels in the MDT, and there are ongoing negotiations on it.
33:23 In terms of your specific question, whether it warrants the voking of the mutual defense, I think it's a bit early.
33:32 The Mayor of Calayaan said that these attacks in China have been going on for a long time.
33:37 It's not like that anymore. Our lives are changing because there are many more accidents like that.
33:44 We don't really go through those places.
33:47 In another new statement by China Coast Guard or CCG that came out in the Chinese media,
33:58 it said that this is a professional attack and that it should not be attributed to China.
34:02 The CCG is carrying out warning measures and used a water cannon to avoid the ships' wreckage in the Gulf.
34:09 The Philippines was attributed to this because it is part of China's sovereignty.
34:14 China called on the Philippines to remove the BRP Sierra Madre from the Iungin Shoal
34:19 just like it promised 24 years ago.
34:24 The CCG said that China has repeatedly asked for diplomatic channels to deal with the situation,
34:31 but the Philippines is not responding.
34:34 We asked Malacanang and the Department of Foreign Affairs to give us a statement,
34:38 but the National Security Council and AFP said that the Philippines will not abandon the BRP Sierra Madre.
34:49 News coverage is not a joke, especially during this time.
34:54 And it's not a joke to collect the information you need from various broadcasts and online platforms.
35:00 In this rare opportunity, you will see the full force of GMA Integrated News for our bigger mission.
35:10 But before that, let's first take a look at how it was built.

36:57 The reason why it's big and it's kind of hard to mount
37:02 is because all the anchors are present.
37:05 All the reporters are present.
37:08 It's very simple,
37:10 but it's very hard to do.
37:12 We went to three provinces.
37:14 We invited all the reporters,
37:17 all the radio reporters and radio anchors,
37:21 and the anchors of each regional station.
37:24 We gathered there.
37:26 This was a massive production endeavor
37:30 for all the departments in the network.
37:32 We had to time everything from the logistics
37:35 to the actual set up and the actual shoot.
37:39 We timed everything so that the news operations won't be hampered.
37:45 This was also fun to do because this is the first time after the pandemic
37:50 that all the anchors and reporters are together in one studio.
37:55 From the most trusted personalities on television,
37:59 to the growing number of regional stations across the country,
38:03 and now our Super Radio DCBB
38:06 is now one of the Super Radio stations in the provinces.
38:09 And the stronger GMA News Online
38:13 continues to expand and strengthen
38:16 the distribution of quality services,
38:18 trustworthy and reliable,
38:21 from the strong support of GMA Integrated News.
