00:00 Happy Saturday to all of you! Welcome back to the home of the doctors of the country, the Pinoy MD.
00:05 And let's start our discussion of health, of course, from our resident obstetrician gynecologist, Dr. Q.
00:11 Good morning to you, Dr. Q!
00:13 Good morning, Connie, and good morning to all of our viewers who are with us this morning.
00:18 To my fellow Manuacs in Antique, good morning to you all.
00:22 Here's the first question, Doc.
00:24 Is it normal for a 2-month-old baby to experience spotting or brown discharge?
00:30 This question is from Divina Acero Densing.
00:33 Brownish discharge, Divina, is normal, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy
00:38 because it is due to hormonal changes or there are old blood that accumulated in the neck of the uterus that just came out.
00:46 But if the spotting or brownish discharge is accompanied by blood clotting, it is not normal.
00:51 That's why you should consult a doctor.
00:53 Time for our next FB Question, Doc. Q.
00:55 What medicine can a pregnant woman take that causes her to vomit?
00:59 This question is from Joy Bernabe Alegunero Abelito.
01:03 Joy, there are many medicines for vomiting.
01:06 But if you are pregnant, you cannot self-medicate.
01:09 You should first consult your pulmonologist or your attending physician, your internist,
01:14 so that you can be given the right medicine.
01:16 Here's the question again, Doc. Q.
01:18 What medicine can a pregnant woman take that causes her to bleed?
01:21 This question is from Rosic Jin Lapasaran.
01:26 Bleeding during pregnancy is not normal.
01:28 During the first trimester, you may be threatened with abortion.
01:32 In the second and third trimester, you may still be threatened with abortion or preterm labor
01:37 or we call it a condition of placenta previa where the uterus is at the top of the baby's head or the presenting part of the baby.
01:46 And this can cause heavy bleeding.
01:49 So, you should check if you bleed during pregnancy.
01:53 Thank you so much, Dr. Q.
01:54 And thank you to all the people who sent their questions.
01:58 Please keep sending those questions to our Facebook page and we will try to answer them.
