00:00 I'm meteorologist Tony law back in Grand Island, Nebraska in the midst of one of the busiest
00:04 storm chase trips I've had since late June.
00:09 Well there have been no shortages of storms for me to chase over the last two days.
00:13 Thursday in Colorado kicked off this trip with storms near the front range.
00:16 I chased those east across the state into the evening.
00:20 And eerie was the word as the setting sun turned the rainy background a deep red here
00:24 in Stratton and then came the constant flashes of lightning from the line of storms as they
00:28 moved into Kansas overnight.
00:33 Friday started a little further north as I intercepted storms along I-80 east of Sydney,
00:38 Nebraska.
00:39 This picturesque storm was one of many pulsey, discreet cells early, dropping loads of severe
00:43 hail on drivers along US-30.
00:46 But back into Colorado I went as multiple storms formed into a fast moving line of storms
00:50 that dropped into far northeast Colorado.
00:53 Blowing dust ahead of the storms gave way to blowing rain in the town of Julesburg as
00:56 60 mph winds drove the downpours through town.
01:00 Motorists rode out the storm in town wherever they could and in the storm's wake was some
01:04 minor street flooding.
01:05 The wind also blew down this fence and left some large tree debris down across town.
01:09 Fortunately though, no major issues or injuries from these storms here in Julesburg.
01:16 The trip continues today as I'll head to northeast Nebraska for the biggest, albeit still low
01:20 probability tornado chances I've seen so far this trip.
01:23 And then the early part of next week will bring us back to the west toward the Colorado
01:26 front range reporting for
