Sophie Craig has come out as the sole audience member of Georgie Greer's show at the Fringe in Edinburgh. Ms Craig admits she "didn't think anything" of the fact that she was the only one attending and says she was happy to be able to "enjoy this performance in all it's glory". She also reveals that the pair had connected online and support each other in bringing female-led performances to stage. Report by Czubalam. 00:00 I just was sat in there waiting,
00:03 and then obviously the door closed,
00:04 and I was like, oh, it's just me.
00:05 And I didn't really think anything of it.
00:08 I just thought, wow, I get to sort of enjoy
00:12 this performance in all its glory.
00:14 So yeah, no, it was great.
00:16 Well, Georgie and I had connected online.
00:18 We're both girls that are taking female-led shows
00:21 up to the fringe.
00:22 I'm doing I Love You Now up here in this space
00:25 at the Pleasant's Courtyard.
00:26 And yeah, we were just supporting each other.
00:29 And yeah, I just went along to see her and support her.
00:31 'Cause I know it's really hard to bring,
00:34 sort of like, for a woman to bring a solo show up.
00:38 And yeah, it's an incredible, incredible achievement.
00:41 So yeah, support it.
00:43 Go, girl power. (laughs)
00:46 Honestly, it was lovely.
00:47 And she was a superstar.
00:49 She gave me everything as if the room was completely full.
00:54 Yeah, so professional, so brave.
00:55 And then we had a really lovely hug
00:56 and a big cuddle at the end and a little chat.
00:59 So yeah, no.
01:00 And I'm really pleased that there's so much support
01:03 for her now, so yeah.
