The London mayor has announced a further expansion of the ULEZ scrappage scheme.

All Londoners with a non-compliant car or motorcycle will be able to apply for support, with additional money available for groups including small businesses and charities.

Mr Khan said: “As we continue to build a greener and healthier London for everyone, I’m determined that no Londoner and no London business is left behind. We need to take people with us on the path to a sustainable future.

"We are ensuring that help is now available for everyone – and I urge Londoners to come and get it.”

00:00 I've said since the outset that the decision to expand the EULAs was a difficult one, not
00:03 one I took lightly, but it's a vital one. What I'm not willing to do, I've never been
00:08 willing to do this, is to delay, water down a step back from these urgent public health
00:13 and green policies, which is what the EULAs is. But I've said that I'll carry on listening
00:17 to Londoners. When I first announced the policy, the focus had to be, I don't resolve from
00:22 this, low-signaling families and the very smallest businesses. In June, because we had
00:28 a lot of money still left in the scrappage fund, big take-up of the scheme, I expanded
00:35 it to those receiving child benefit, 860,000 families. Six months on now, I'm able to know
00:43 we've got £60 million still left in the scrappage fund, but also we can top that up because
00:49 the finance is looking good for GLA, with another £50 million. So I'm able to expand
00:54 the support so no Londoner with an uncompliant car, no Londoner with an uncompliant motorbike
00:59 is left behind, but also no business which has more than one van is left behind.
