00:00 "Salty had just arrived at the docks, just as Thomas came up to the railroad crossing.
00:04 'Hi, Salty,' said Thomas. 'Have you seen Sir Topham Hatt?'
00:07 'No, I'm afraid not,' said Salty. 'Are you looking for him?'
00:10 'Yes,' said Thomas. 'I need to find him very quickly.
00:12 I have some important news to tell him, but first I need to find him.'
00:16 'Aw,' said Salty. 'I'm sorry you can't find him, Thomas. Hope you have better luck.'
00:20 'Yeah,' said Thomas. 'I hope I do, too. It's very important.
00:23 It has to do with the diesels coming to our railway, and I hope he agrees with me.'
00:27 'Oh, I hope he does, too,' said Salty.
00:30 'When they were talking, Cranky had been loading the cargo into the cargo car.'
00:35 'Well, hope you find him,' said Salty. 'Goodbye,' he said, and Salty puffed away.
00:40 'Aw,' said Thomas. 'I guess I'll just have to continue my journey alone,' he said.
00:45 He waited until Bertie had gone across the railroad crossing, and when his track was cleared...
00:51 [BERTIE BELL RINGS]
00:55 Thomas set off once again. He had picked some freight cars up from Duck...
01:00 when he had gone to the corridor to look for Sir Topham Hatt, but he wasn't there either.
01:04 Thomas arrived at Ellsbridge Station and was still no luck.
01:08 'Oh,' he said, 'this is useless. I can't do this anymore. Where could Sir Topham Hatt be?'
01:13 His friend Daisy puffed in.
01:16 'Hi, Thomas,' said Daisy. 'How's your day going?'
01:19 'Not so good,' said Thomas. 'Why's that?'
01:22 'I'm looking for Sir Topham Hatt,' he said. 'He's... I can't find him anywhere.'
01:26 'Oh, that's a shame,' said Daisy. 'Well, have you tried everywhere?'
01:31 'Yes,' said Thomas. 'I don't think you have,' said Daisy. 'What do you mean?'
01:35 'Well, have you checked Knapford Station? He's usually there.'
01:38 'Actually,' said Thomas, 'I haven't. That's a great idea, Daisy. I'd better go.'
01:42 But just then, Spencer came in. 'I was just at Knapford Station,' said Spencer.
01:47 'And?' said Thomas. 'He wasn't there. I'm sorry to say.'
01:50 'Oh,' said Thomas. 'Well, I'd better go look at Gordon's Hill and see if he's there.'
01:55 'You never know. It's just a guess for a start,' and he puffed away quickly.
02:00 Thomas continued along the line until he saw Fergus up ahead.
02:12 'Hi, Fergus,' said Thomas. 'Have you seen Sir Topham Hatt?'
02:15 'I'm afraid not,' said Fergus. 'I haven't seen him since this morning.'
02:19 'Okay,' said Thomas. 'I was just wondering. I'm looking for him. I have some very important news.'
02:23 But just then, Rosie and Hector puffed up.
02:26 'Hi, Thomas,' said Rosie. 'I heard you were looking for Sir Topham Hatt. Sorry, I haven't seen him either.'
02:31 'Oh, man,' said Thomas. 'I don't know where he could be.'
02:35 But just then, Hector spoke up. 'Thomas,' he said, 'I saw him at Knapford Station.'
02:39 'You did?' said Thomas. 'Well, but Spencer was just there. He said he wasn't there.'
02:43 'He left on the express just before Spencer came. He's on the express right now and is heading toward Gordon's Hill.'
02:52 'Oh, thank you for all your help,' said Thomas, and he rushed away very quickly.
02:57 Luckily, the trucks were being troublesome then. 'Thank you,' said Thomas to them.
03:03 'It would be a very stressful day if you trucks were playing tricks, and thank you for not doing it.'
03:08 'Don't get used to it,' said Scruffy. 'We're just being nice.'
03:11 'You know, Sir Thomas, Scruffy, you've never been the same since you came back from the works after your accident.'
03:16 'Well, be quiet,' said Scruffy. He didn't like talking about his accident.
03:21 Thomas came to Gordon's Hill quicker than expected. 'Okay,' he said, 'let's do this.'
03:27 He started up the hill. Just then, Thomas heard some noise. 'Oh,' he said, 'what's that noise? I can't quite remember it.'
03:35 But just then, Frank spoke up. 'My truck senses,' he said, 'think that it's a truck coming our way.'
03:41 And Frank was right. An A-car was zooming up Gordon's Hill. It came over the top.
03:46 'Oh no,' said Thomas, 'I better go stop it.' He ran up the hill as fast as he could, but the truck beat him to it.
03:51 It banged off of Thomas' bumpers and went back to the top. 'Send us an ambulance,' said Thomas.
03:57 The truck went to the top of the hill, and then there was trouble.
04:01 The wheel caught in one of the railings, and the truck tipped over the side.
04:05 'Oh no,' said Scruffy, 'it's going to fall.' And it did. It fell over the side and landed on a track below.
04:11 Eggs were spilled everywhere. It was a mess.
04:15 'Oh,' said Thomas, 'I'm in a very silly engine. I better go get the breakdown treat before the...'
04:21 Just then, Boco puffed up with the express.
04:24 'The express arrived,' said Thomas. 'Oh, I'm sorry, Boco,' he said. 'Thomas,' said Boco, 'did you do this?'
04:32 'No,' said Thomas, and he explained to Boco what he had seen.
04:36 'Hmm,' said Boco, 'that's very strange. I'll have Sir Topham Hatt look at it.'
04:40 'Sir Topham Hatt's on the express?' said Thomas. 'Oh yay, I've been needing to talk to him all day.'
04:45 'Well, I'm here,' said Sir Topham Hatt, as he got out of Boco. 'Now, Thomas, what do you want?'
04:50 And Thomas told him the story about the A-car. 'Hmm,' he said, 'an engine must have pushed it up the hill.'
04:57 'Hey, wait a minute. Why are Airey and Bert sitting down at the tunnel there?'
05:01 'Hmm, I better go ask.' 'Airey and Bert, come here this instant!'
05:05 'We're coming, sir,' he said. 'Did you two push this freight car up Gordon's Hill?'
05:11 'Well, actually, we didn't,' said Bert. 'Uh, yeah, we did,' said Airey.
05:14 'Shh,' said Bert, 'we don't want anyone to know that we did it.'
05:16 'Oh, sorry,' said Airey, 'I can't keep a secret.'
05:19 'Well, thank you for telling me that, Airey. And what were you doing exactly?'
05:23 'Uh, going to deliver to McColl's Farm. Yeah, that's what we were doing.
05:27 Well, we were trying to make it crash into the Duke and Duchess' house below, but coming off the track right there.'
05:32 'You what?' said Sir Topham Hatt. 'Airey!' he said. 'Bert!' said Airey.
05:37 'I'm sorry, I can't keep a secret.' 'Well, thank you for telling me that,' he said.
05:41 'I'll speak to you two later. Goodbye.'
05:44 And the two geesels rushed away.
05:49 'Well, Thomas, is there anything else that you need to tell me? I'm going to be late.
05:54 The express is going to be late if I don't hurry right now.'
05:56 'Oh, yes!' said Thomas. 'Sir,' he said, 'I know the perfect engine that could come help us on our railway.'
06:02 'You do?' said Sir Topham Hatt. 'Please tell me.'
06:04 'It's Lady!' he said. 'Lady? The magical engine?'
06:08 'Yes, sir!' said Thomas. 'Remember, you sent her away after you got back from vacation,
06:12 and nothing has ever been the same. You should give her another try.
06:15 Plus, all the engines on Sir, I'm sure, would love to meet her. Most of them haven't.'
06:19 'I see your point there,' said Sir Topham Hatt.
06:22 'Well, and, well, but frankly, I don't remember where I sent her.'
06:25 'You'll have to,' said Thomas. 'It's our only hope of getting the railway back in peace.'
06:29 'I guess I'll try,' said Sir Topham Hatt. 'I'll go back to my office this afternoon and look for the papers to where I sent her.
06:35 Then if I can get an agreement with her manager, she can come to the railway and help us.'
06:40 'And, sir,' said Thomas, 'will you still have the diesels here?'
06:44 'Maybe,' said Sir Topham Hatt. 'I'm not sure, but we'll just see how things go.'
06:48 'Thank you, Thomas,' he said, 'for all your help today, and goodbye,' and Sir Topham Hatt walked into the express coaches.
06:55 'I'll go get the breakdown train, Sir,' said Thomas. 'That's a good engine,' said Sir Topham Hatt.
07:00 Thomas rushed down going home very happy with himself.
