00:00 What's going on, everyone?
00:01 It's Taylor Cowles here for CLNS Media,
00:03 joined by my buddy Brian Hines, here
00:04 to break down one-on-one drills today
00:07 and another padded practice.
00:08 Now, Brian, you were focused on the trenches.
00:11 Who stood out for you today?
00:12 Good work in the trenches today.
00:13 They were missing Trent Brown and Cole Strange.
00:15 Michael Wynn was still on the pup.
00:16 So undermanned a little bit there,
00:19 but the offensive line got off to a really good start.
00:21 Looking at Antonio Moffey, filled in for Bill Murray
00:24 at the right guard in team drills yesterday.
00:26 He had a good win over Devon Godschow.
00:29 He keeps kind of plugging along here
00:30 and impressing as we move forward.
00:33 And then that right tackle spot, right?
00:34 That's the battle we're really looking at.
00:36 No Trent Brown again, so it was back between Connor McDermott
00:39 and Riley Reif.
00:40 Reif impressed again.
00:42 Win over Dietrich Weiss, that's kind of been his thing, right?
00:45 Physicality with the pads come on.
00:46 Reif's been a little more impressive.
00:48 McDermott, though, a loss to Dietrich Weiss.
00:50 So same competitor there with Dietrich Weiss
00:52 and mixed results.
00:54 Then the last one, Keon White, continues to kind of impress.
00:57 We knew he was a big guy, right?
00:58 The physicality, that's where he's
01:00 going to shine in the backfield a lot during 11 on 11.
01:03 So he continues to pop in those trenches
01:05 when the pads come on.
01:06 It's been tough to gauge exactly how good the linemen are when
01:09 they're not wearing pads.
01:10 You can't use power.
01:11 You're limited to what you can do.
01:13 Keon White's been popping, though.
01:14 Good to see that translate.
01:15 And Riley Reif and Connor McDermott,
01:17 we've seen at the right tackle spot.
01:18 When Trent Brown was out there, they were kind of rotating.
01:21 So it's really good to see that Reif, the veteran,
01:23 is doing well when the pads come on
01:24 and he can be more physical.
01:25 Now, I was focused more on the receiving drills.
01:28 I thought DeMario "Pop" Douglas lived up to his name.
01:30 The guy is untouchable when it came to tackling drills.
01:33 He was dominating one-on-ones.
01:35 Marcus Jones, I believe he's 3-0.
01:37 Marcus Jones is a very good player.
01:39 Really, his skill set matches up with the kind of receiver
01:41 that Douglas is.
01:42 So it's good to see the young player really stand out.
01:44 Also, I believe Kendrick Thorne, who's been quiet
01:47 when a lot of the team drills have been going on,
01:49 although he did have a nice catch today,
01:50 he, I believe, is 4-0 in a lot of these one-on-one drills.
01:54 And Kayshawn Booty, another six-round rookie
01:56 like DeMario Douglas, he's someone
01:58 who's been very good against good competition.
02:00 I believe he's got two wins over the past couple of days
02:02 against Christian Gonzalez and had another one yesterday
02:05 against Jonathan Jones.
02:07 I believe they were catching passes from Zappi.
02:08 So with Mac Jones, he was mostly throwing
02:10 at tight ends and running backs.
02:12 Ramondre Stevenson looking good out of the backfield.
02:14 Pierre Strong had an impressive rep
02:15 where he actually threw up his hand.
02:17 Before he finished the route, he hit Calvin Munson to bite
02:19 and then broke off to separate.
02:21 Mac Jones and Hunter Henry picking up where they left off.
02:24 I thought they looked really smooth.
02:25 Mac giving them some passes.
02:26 It was away from the defender where
02:27 they couldn't make a play on it.

02:38 Also some guys to watch for, Matt Sokol and Anthony Ferkser.
02:42 Some depth tight ends.
02:43 Fans may not be familiar with, but Sokol, especially
02:45 as a blocker, is separating himself.
02:47 Thought he separated well today in terms of his routes.
02:50 And Anthony Ferkser had a nice catch as well.
02:52 So we'll see how these progress.
02:53 Tomorrow we've got the in-stadium practice.
02:55 Probably going to be more of a walk-through,
02:56 not as many competitive drills.
02:58 That'll probably happen next week.
02:59 But it's good to see the receivers especially stand out.
03:02 And as you said, the tackle depth looking a little better
03:05 with Riley Reif showing up.
