00:00 There are over 20 wild dogs in this pack. It's a huge family and that's one thing
00:12 that sets wild dogs apart from most other predators. These large cooperative
00:18 packs have a huge hunting advantage giving them the highest strike rate of
00:23 all large predators on the continent. But this is also where the lion clans live
00:29 and roam. Just a few hundred meters downstream there is a lost female
00:35 looking for her clan. She carries her cub and tries to cross the river. For now
00:49 though she is oblivious to the danger.
00:53 Wild dogs have a strong sense of hearing. One of them goes to look for the source
01:06 of the sound.
01:18 On his own he cannot face a lioness so he rushes back to his family. This lioness
01:32 has ventured out alone and she found herself right in the middle of the pack
01:36 of wild dogs. She has been trapped by over 15 of them. They tried to wear her
01:46 down. That number of wild dogs could kill her. It's impossible to fight all these
01:54 predators at once. So her last chance to save herself was to attack one of them
02:00 and try to kill him.
02:03 Her plan succeeded and the family dispensed with one of its members. But
02:23 she must return to her clan before it's too late.
