Sept 9 fixed for Simpang Jeram and Pulai by-elections

The polling day for the Pulai parliamentary and Simpang Jeram state seats by-elections has been set for Sept 9, says the Election Commission (EC).  EC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh on Thursday (Aug 3) announced that the nomination day for candidates will be on Aug 26, while early voting would be on Sept 5. 01:05 and the inside of the country has been opened since today, 3 August 2023.

01:12 Meanwhile, the date for the application is as follows.

01:18 1A, the officers of the Public Prosecution Service, the SPR officers, police officers,

01:24 military officers and media officers,

01:27 will be closed on 22 August 2023.

01:31 1B, the citizens of Malaysia who are outside of the country,

01:36 will be closed on 12 August 2023.

01:40 1C, the agencies and organizations

01:44 will be closed on 15 August 2023.

01:57 the SPR has appointed a Public Prosecution Service officer

02:02 assisted by 5 officers.

02:07 Meanwhile, for the purpose of monitoring the campaign activities

02:13 of the Pelayang Raya leaders throughout the campaign,

02:17 the SPR has appointed 2 leaders of the Pelayang Raya campaign,

02:22 PPK-PR, which is also accompanied by representatives

02:27 from the Police Dirajah Malaysia, PDRM,

02:30 the local authorities, DPD, and the candidates.
