00:00 After watching the various modes of the cyber scam, a company in Pasay City, according to the authorities, has a license as a POGO operator.
00:10 Witness, John Consulta.
00:12 Bull to bull SIM card, smartphones, and devices for text blasting,
00:21 the authorities saw when they were discussing the five steps of its business in Pasay City.
00:26 They are using these things in various cyber scams.
00:30 This is what the people of the Forensic Digital Laboratory of the NBI and the Office of Cybercrime of the DOJ called,
00:36 who examined the facility, Cybercrime Hub.
00:40 The operation here includes crypto and tax scams, as well as love scams,
00:45 where money is being stolen from dating apps.
00:50 They even have a script for talking to the victims.
00:54 Most of the love scams are targeted at foreigners.
00:57 There are other computers that we saw yesterday,
01:00 the chat here of the customer service representative is white paper.
01:06 Aside from the workstation, you can also see here on the fifth floor,
01:09 this is their studio that they use in their operation.
01:13 When their target requests a video call,
01:16 this room is where they entertain the video call so that it can be broadcasted at home or while they are resting.
01:24 But when the client requests a video call in their workplace,
01:29 this is the part of the studio that they use.
01:35 But all of these are not true.
01:38 These books are already considered.
01:40 At first glance, you think it's true.
01:43 But it turns out that everything is made of cardboard.
01:48 In this era, we can see the different types of clothes that they wear on their models
01:56 to make their target victims fall in love.
02:00 According to the Department of Justice and the NBI,
02:02 this facility has been operating for more than a month before they were seen and intercepted.
02:09 Based on the initial investigation, the company Rivendell Global Support Inc. is licensed to run Pogo.
02:17 But it's just a front.
02:19 Before, you can see what they do, they really serve our Pogo.
02:25 But it turns out that there are scams that are happening here.
02:30 This is just a basic info.
02:33 I'm just a team leader here.
02:35 I'm the only one who motivates them.
02:38 I'm the only one who can get good data.
02:41 The company's leaders are still investigating.
02:44 They will also know how they can operate once the deadline for SIM registration is over.
02:51 We will know if there are loopholes in the SIM registration
02:54 that are still being exploited by the bad guys out there
02:59 to gain anonymity or to be able to perpetrate criminal activities.
03:03 According to the PAG-GOR,
03:06 the facility was inspected on July 26 and it was found that there are activities that can be used for scams.
03:15 But they were not able to send the report of their inspection to the law enforcers.
03:21 You noticed human trafficking badges or scam operations.
03:28 Why didn't you send it immediately?
03:31 I think it's a remiss on our part.
03:34 650 individuals were found in the facility.
03:38 More than 400 Filipinos and almost 200 Chinese and Indian nationals.
03:44 They are still investigating if they are involved in the case.
03:47 But one of the people found there was a former rescue from human trafficking in Myanmar.
03:54 We were working in Pogo in Basay.
03:57 We have a list of Filipinos who were rescued in the region.
04:01 The Interagency Council Against Human Trafficking noticed that there are fewer and more Filipinos
04:08 who are recruited by Pogo to avoid human trafficking.
04:13 They also complained about the badges of human trafficking.
04:18 For example, we couldn't find a room or darkroom.
04:22 According to the PAG-DINI, this year alone,
04:24 almost 4,000 victims of human trafficking were rescued.
04:28 We're now the human trafficking hub, not just Pogo Hub, human trafficking hub of the world.
04:34 Pogo is not bringing any benefit to our country, it's bringing shame.
04:40 The government should just pay the debt of Pogo to the government
04:45 and ask them to leave, to stop their operation here
04:49 because there's nothing good to be done, nothing bad.
04:53 But it seems that Pogo will continue in the country
04:56 because PAN-COR has a new framework to avoid Pogo being used in illegal activities.
05:03 For GMA Integrated News, I'm John Consulta, your witness.
