2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport
Starting at $50,075

While the 2024 Discovery Sport doesn't offer the full range of luxury Range Rover experience, it does bring an adventurous image to the compact crossover class that its rivals are trying to catch up with. Standard trail features include all-wheel drive with off-road driving modes, terrain cruise control, and an advanced exterior camera system to aid in navigating tight spaces.

Land Rover has given Discovery Sport a number of updates for 2024, including new wheel designs, a more sophisticated air purification system, and an updated exterior camera system. The biggest improvement is the addition of a new 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen. This curved glass panel has been removed from other JLR products, including its Discovery and Defender brothers. The center console and steering wheel have also been revised, and Discovery Sport now comes standard with a wireless smartphone charging pad, USB-C charging ports and a digital instrument display. The series has been distilled into just two of the four trim levels (S and Dynamic SE), both seeing a price increase, giving the compact Land Rover a starting price of over $50,000.

Each Discovery Sport has a turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain that produces 246 horsepower. Of course, standard all-wheel drive – along with a range of optional trail-grade equipment – helps the Sport glide over rough terrain and weather any storm. The Disco Sport can enter up to 23.6 inches of water (for those who dare) and tow up to 4409 pounds.

Discovery Sport's EPA fuel economy estimates are 19 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway, and 20 mpg combined.

Discovery Sport maintains the brand's luxury image with a dash design that mimics the sleeker and more expensive Land Rovers. The cabin now features sustainable materials and more seat configurations for greater versatility.

Base models are well equipped with luxuries such as heated front seats, heated steering wheel, fixed glass panoramic roof, dual-zone automatic climate control, faux leather upholstery and 12-way power adjustable front seats; a pair of third row skip seats are optional. The Discovery Sport holds 28 cubic feet of cargo behind its second row.

All Discovery Sport models come with Land Rover's latest Pivi Pro interface and 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment display with digital instrumentation. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and other infotainment features like mobile hotspot and head-up display are optional. All models feature a premium Meridian stereo system.
