2024 Los Alamitos (Calif.) linebacker Kamar Mothudi discusses his commitment to the Oregon Ducks.

00:07 Kamar, you made your decision to join Oregon's 2024 class earlier this month.

00:12 Just tell me why was it the Ducks?

00:14 >> Man, I chose the Ducks mainly because of the after football aspect.

00:18 And I know for, I'm sorry, I chose the Ducks mainly because of the after football

00:22 aspect, I know for sure that once I stop playing football,

00:25 that they will take care of me.

00:27 That was a big thing for me.

00:29 >> So you came down to Oregon and Michigan State for this recruitment.

00:33 What was it that really set Oregon apart in the end and

00:36 made you feel comfortable with that call?

00:38 >> Really for the amount of time that they had been on me.

00:42 Michigan State came in a little later during the picture of my recruitment.

00:48 At the end of the day, I just went like, go to Lozac, who wanted me first, kind of.

00:53 >> So you're teaming up with Dylan Williams in that linebacker corps at Oregon.

00:59 Two super physical athletic guys.

01:02 Just tell me what it's like having that opportunity to play with him and

01:05 kind of what the future holds for you guys.

01:06 >> Yeah, no, I've played with Dylan at 7-0 and I've worked out with him.

01:09 That's my guy.

01:10 Daff bro's on top.

01:11 I'm super excited to be able to fly around and play on the same team as him.

01:16 >> And people can look at your film, but I always like asking guys,

01:19 in your words, what makes you special as a linebacker or just as a football player?

01:24 >> Yeah, no, I think I'm versatile.

01:26 I don't think I kind of have a set box that I can be put in as a player.

01:29 I mean, yeah, I play linebacker, running back, but I can do a whole bunch of things.

01:33 And as far as linebacker, I think I'm every guy on that.

01:36 I can stay on, I have coverage ability, I can stop the run, so yeah.

01:40 >> All right, and then you're getting settled in here at Los Alamitos,

01:43 your new spot with the guys.

01:47 Just what's next for you and tell me about your mindset this year.

01:50 >> Yeah, no, next, just getting my body right, getting my mind right.

01:54 Just locking in for the rest of the season.

01:56 My mindset, just kind of take everything, leave everything out in the field.
