00:02 Adult bears generally do not sleep in trees.
00:11 BowBow, however, and other cubs do.
00:13 She started that as soon as she could go outside.
00:15 In fact, as soon as she could walk,
00:17 she started climbing the indoor parts of the exhibit,
00:20 which are the rock kind of mountain-looking things.
00:23 The reason that they climb trees,
00:25 even at a very early age, is predator avoidance.
00:27 So they're so small,
00:29 and mom has to spend 13 to 16 hours a day eating.
00:31 Mom can't protect that cub,
00:33 so the cubs climb a tree to protect themselves.
