Lori Vallow addressed the court ahead of her sentencing, claiming her murdered children are “happy in heaven”.
The 50-year-old was convicted in May of killing her seven-year-old son Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 16-year-old daughter Tylee Ryan, who vanished without a trace in September 2019.
She was also found guilty of conspiring to kill her husband Chad Daybell’s first wife, Tammy, who died in October 2019.
“Jesus Christ knows the truth of what happens here,” Vallow told the court.
“I have had many communications from people now living in heaven, including my children... because of these communications, I know that my children are happy and busy in the spirit world.”

01:26 I was standing near my pregnant body, watching the doctors try to revive me,
01:32 which took them a few minutes.
01:34 In that time, my sister Stacey was standing to my left.
01:39 I turned to hug her and was surprised that her spirit was as tangible as a physical
01:46 body because I knew I was in spirit and she was in spirit.
01:50 She said she needed to show me some things and we went to heaven.
01:56 I later returned to my body.
01:58 Because of this experience, I have access to heaven and the spirit world.
02:05 Since then, I have had many communications from people now living in heaven,

02:31 I've had many angelic visitors have come and communicated with me and even
02:37 manifested themselves to me.
02:39 Because of these communications, I know for a fact that my children are happy and

02:50 Because of my communications with my friend, Tammy Daybell, I know that she is
02:56 also very happy and extremely busy.
02:59 I have always mourned the loss of my loved ones and I have lost many in this
03:07 mortal world.
03:08 However, I know that more than most people, I know where they are now and what
03:16 they're doing.
03:17 I know how wonderful heaven is and I'm homesick for it every single day.
03:23 I know we all lived in heaven before we were born on earth and we were all adult
03:29 spirits in the heavenly realm.
03:30 We chose to come to earth as mortals.
03:33 Heaven is more wonderful than you can possibly imagine.
03:38 I do not fear death, but I look forward to it.
03:44 I did not want to return to my body when I was out of it.
03:48 Even though my son, Colby, who I adored more than anything, was only six years old
03:53 at the time and I was about to give birth to this new baby girl that I wanted so
03:57 badly.
03:58 I was a young mother and you would think I wouldn't want to leave my children, but
04:07 as I stood in heaven, I did not want to go back.
04:10 I thought they would be fine without me.
04:13 Because I was peaceful and I was happy and I was home.
04:18 But then I was told by Jesus that I needed to go back and complete things that I had
04:26 covenanted or promised to do before I was born.
04:29 This caused me a lot of distress because I knew heaven was my real home and I only
04:36 wanted to be there.
04:37 I was free from pain, emotional and physical.
04:41 But then I was shown how I would help my children and others in the future.
04:47 So ultimately I did agree to go back to my body.
04:51 Tylee has visited me.
04:57 She is happy and very busy.
05:01 Tylee is free now from all the pains of her life.
05:05 Tylee suffered horrible physical pain her whole life.
05:10 I sat with Tylee in the hospital year after year after year while she screamed in pain
05:19 when the morphine wasn't even enough to take away the pain of her pancreatitis.
05:23 I sat there while she cried and I held back her hair while she threw up.
05:27 And I am the only person on this earth who knows how much Tylee suffered in her life.
05:35 She had pain every single day.
05:37 She never felt good.
05:41 Her body did not work right.
05:43 And I don't know if that was from complications from me dying while she was being born or
05:47 something else, but she had a very difficult life.
05:51 She was sexually abused by her own biological father since she was three years old and she
05:57 was forced by family court to go visit him for 10 years against her will.
06:03 I fought for her in court.
06:07 I protected her.
06:09 I tried to protect her with my whole life.
06:12 I tried to protect her.
06:14 I worried about her every single day.
06:16 Tylee had to get her GED because she couldn't go to school every day because she never felt
06:22 good. She felt sick.
06:24 Nobody knows this because Tylee, like myself, tries to put on a good front, tries to be a
06:31 happy person, tries to have hope in life, tries to know that she's here for a purpose and
06:37 that she has an eternal purpose to be on this earth.
06:39 But I never stopped worrying about her.
06:42 One of the times that Tylee came to me as a spirit after she died, she said she commanded
06:49 me and she said to me, stop worrying, mom, we are fine.
06:54 She knows how I worry and how I miss her.
06:58 The first time JJ visited me after he passed away.
07:06 He put his arm around me and he said to me.
07:09 He didn't do anything wrong, mom.
07:13 I love you and I know you loved me every minute of my life.

07:24 Was an adult spirit and he was very, very tall when he put his arm around me.
07:35 He is busy, he is engaged, he has jobs that he does there and he is happy where he is.
07:43 His life was short, but JJ's life was meaningful.
07:46 JJ was a wonderful person and touched the lives of everyone.
07:51 And I adored him every minute of his life.
07:54 My eternal friend, Tammy Daybell, has visited me on several occasions.
